Excellent game for older children

I've played the SNES version of this game and just recently bought the Gameboy Color version. I highly recommend both but the GBC is suprisingly good despite it having less things to do than the other versions. The premise of the game seems simple but working the farm is no picnic. Soon you get so involved in the game that it becomes a serious addiction. Luckily the GBC version only allows you to have four chicken and cows unlike the SNES where you can have 12! Talk about time consuming. Interaction with the characters would have been nice but the game makes up for it with nice closeup graphics of all the girls and men in the various locations in the town. There are more secrets to find in the... well, you'll see when you get it. Overall you'll have great fun. There are no complicated moves to make but little kids may have a hard time figuring out the game. It's best for pre-teens and teenagers, even adults! I highly recommend it if you can't find the original SNES version (discontinued) or the N64 version, or just need something to take with you on the go.

This is the most relaxing, satisfying game I've ever played. Not only is it fun to play when you want action, its also about the best game to play on a long car ride. This is the type of game that will not frustrate you at all. There's always something to do.

This game rocks! Forget pokemon! Well, maybe not.... Harvest Moon is a very good game, with the most addictive gameplay I have ever seen. You get a farm, take care of it, do chores, and get paid! This may look tedious, but it is unbelievably fun, and after playing into the wee hours of the morning, I couldn't put it down! However, after 5 days of playing, I had gotten through my first "year", and the game started to lose its magic. The replay value is the only reason why I like Pokemon better. Also, the multiplayer is kind of weak. It's not like you can battle cows...all you can do is trade items and livestock. Otherwise, this game is one of the best gameboy games out there. If you still have money left after buying all the Pokemon paraphenalia, dish out 30 bucks and go buy this game. It's worth it.

As Good as Pokemon!

I'm a BIG pokemon fan and this is just as good! You get to work on a old, worn down farm.Buy cows and chickens, and planting seeds are a few things to do.If you buy Harvest Moon, you won't regret it.

Why wouldn't you buy this?

This game was so much fun that I could't take eyes away from it. Raising animals is some work but its definetly worth it! My favorite was planting crops of all different sorts. If you like this game you'll like Harvest Moon 64 even more but I recomend you start this one first.

No violence but lots of strategy!

This is one of Natsume's best GB game of all. First you start off with barely any money. As you buy crops and sell them, you will impress the Farm Spirit who comes only once a year. You must feed your cows, chickens but no need to feed your horse or dog. In this game, you will never find any kickin, punchin or shootin.

AWESOME

The game lets you walk almost were ever you want to and you can raise crops as well as animals. Getting married is also an aspect of the game. I love this game so much I even bought it for N64 and I can't wait until it comes in because you can do even more. My son loves the game to and we both talk about it over dinner even though no one else knows what were talking about.

Harvest Moon is a game where you play as a boy or a girl and try to run a farm. You have tools, animals and seeds to grow plants. You go and earn money by selling your goods. You even have a dog or a cat! This a great game for people who want to farm or just have some fun!

Perfect Game

I wish I can give this game more than 5 star. I have many gameboy color games, and this is my favorite. I like these action games, and I thought I wasn't going to like this game. But believe me, I got hooked! It is lots of fun raising animals and plants and basically raising a farm. Wow, this game is in the top 5 of my favorite games on ANY system. Buy, Buy ,Buy this game as fast as you can, GREATEST GAME!

I went on a trip to Florida about a year and a half ago and bought this at a used video game shop. This game was so fun I could not put it down! I even sat inside the condo all day and played this while everyone else was at the beach! You can choose to be a boy or girl and you keep a farm. Each season there are new crops to plant and you can also have cows and chickens which also help youmake a prophit. Thsi game deserves 100 stars as this is one of the best games I have ever bought for GBC next to Pokemon! :)
