Harvest Moon - GBC Good game!

Okay I use to have Harvest Moon for the GBC and in the game you talk to alot of people you get a pet and you do a bunch of farming all in all it's a really great game and can be played on the GBC, Original GBA, and GBA SP. So if you like farming and talking in games then get this game you'll really enjoy when I first got this game from a friend I couldn't put it down for almost over a month. Oh and plus there's a photo album in the game that you have to play the game for a while to unlock each picture and if you have a Game Boy Printer which you can get off here amazon then you can print out your pictures and you can play as a girl or a boy in the game.

A fun and addicting little game.

I first got this game because I saw my friend playing it, right then I wanted to play. So I got it and it was quite a pleasure to take care of my farm and watch it grow while saving up for new animals or bigger crops. If you get past the cute looking graphics you'll realize there is a fun little gem of a game in there. There are few downsides to this game, but they are downsides that really hurt it. The first one that comes to mind is that there is no real ending of the game. Also after a week or so of play, you can get pretty sick of the game, and let me tell you, when you get sick of this game you really get sick of this game. Its a pretty fun game that you should check your local bargain bin for.

Harvest Moon, it is fun enough to spend hours and hours on. Even though some games of Natsumes were not good I have liked them all. This game is fun and sticks to the nature of Harvest Moon by just allowing you to take care of your animals and crops on a day to day basis. The main objective of this game is to fulfill your grandpa's wish for you to become a Ranch Master. Although you have loads of time to overcome these challenges this game will keep you entertained for hours. I just recently bought this game and I think I have spent a day on the game. Some say this game is one of the worst, but I think it is a great game for it doesn't deal with saving the Harvest Goddess, it doesn't deal with your grandpa just died and he left his farm in the will, it doesn't deal with getting married, it doesn't deal with making friends, but it does deal with the main points of Harvest Moon; harvesting and caring for animals. Although the non-marriage thing is sort of a bummer and the events are sort-of boring the game is very fun. I hope this helps everyone make there choice on this game, for some reviews are not helpful so I bought the game anyways and It was great. If you don't like farming and taking care of animals then this game isn't for you; but if you do this game will be your #1 choice.

Read this "kid's review!" I didn't want to go through all that real name stuff so I went with this kind of review,even though I'm 14(not quite that old,but hey).Anyways,Harvest Moon for GBC is a great game.I played it today actually.You do many things,such as plant crops,look after animals and even buy things with your own money at the local market.Sounds boring?It's not!I like the game because it's different,you are in control of every aspect of the game.You work as hard as you can or as little as you want.What's fun for me is earning money through planting crops and tending to your animals.It's also fun to go the the market and buy a bunch of food and things for your ranch.You can play hours on end and still not get bored-that's me at least.Summer is the best season for farming.The crops keep growing so you don't have to keep buying seeds.That's a huge convinience.Overall,I would say this game is one that you can simply play for fun and not be worriend about certain things unlike other games.It's not a huge challenge really.You just have to strategize.

ps-warning on the wintertime music.it's probably the most annoying in all of the game.

I saw this game being reviewed on a videogame show and thought it looked stupid so I decided to borrow it. On the way home I was thinking would ever play this game, well after awhile I figuerd who would...ME!!! It may look boring but it really is fun, I was playing that game all night for like 17 hours none-stop. There is so much you can do in it I mean come on:

-Farm crops
-take care of animals
-talk to the inhabitents (people)
-meet girls
-farm MANY crops
-and much more!

Trust me this game is super-duper fun!!! (super-duper?) If you like this Harvest Moon or any other HM I reccomened Animal Crossing on GC you dont get to farm or that kind of stuff but well its kind of like The Sims meets Harvest Moon but its still fun if you like HM!!

This game is awsome!!! Although at the beggining I did have some trouble. When I started, don't laugh, I thought the weed where plants and I used to water them and everything! That was stupid. After that I learned how to run a succesful farm, I am doing preety good. This game lets you plant seeds, water them, buy cows and chicken, let them have calves and chick (which grow up), milk the cow and get eggs from the chicken. Here are some of the things you do int he farm:

plant seeds
water them
buy cows and chicken
let them have calves and chick (which grow up)
milk the cow and get eggs from the chicken
You can have a horse, which after it's big enough you can ride
You can have a dog or cat
You feed the animals
You plant grass to feed the animal
Once the plants are ready, you pick them and get ca$h

Almot the only bad part would be that you have to do the same thing again every day. One of my friends has this gme and she's been playing it a longer time then me and once her cow was missing and she says she found it ont he roof!!! So maybe you do do the same things every day, but once in a while you might get a suprise!!!

my friend was always talking about how awesome harvest moon was, and i didn't really belive her. a farming game??! i mean, come on. that must stink as much as the cow poop.
i was SO wrong!
she let me play her old GBC version, and i loved it! it was one of the best games i'd played! since i love RPGs, it went in my gameboy...and stayed there. she gave the game to me ^_^
about the game:
you get to be a boy, or girl (unlike most other harvest moon games, where you must play a guy), and both have advantages: the guy is stronger and tires slower, but the girl gets extra seeds (i would recomend being the girl, since being stronger doesn't really do much). You get to plant and harvest seeds, and buy cows and chickens. making money at first is hard, so don't go out and buy a bunch of building materials, or a house esxpainsion, until you can really afford it!
i would recomend playing this version before any other harvest moon games, so you can get the basics down. for me, being thrown into HM-mineral town with only a days experiance at the game was very confusing. also, this could be the best bet for you if you don't want to spend time with relationships (like in other HM games).

My friend Had harvest moon on her gameboy. When She described it, I thought *yawn* big whoop. But when I tried it, I LOVED it! You get to raise animals, plant seeds, and (I did this by accident) hit elves on the head with a hammer. you can also ride horses, milk cows, and lots of other stuff I'm not going to go into detail about. Itt gets kinda boring after while, but it always hits you with a Xmas party sometimes. In short-This game rules.

You really should NOT buy this item.

It is terrible! I saved a lot of money and wasted it on this game! You are always losing things, the controls are confusing, and it is no match for any other GB color game. I highly reccomend it on the playstation though, it is really quite fun. My favorite is the back to nature addition, but they are all addictive!!!

DEAR, SUSAN FORM COLLORADO THAEY HAVE A GAMBOY VERSION WITH MALE/FEMALE FARMER CHOICE MODE BUT IT OIS ABIT DIFERNT FROM N64
BUT IT'S FINE JUST THE SAME MAINLY IF YOU WANT THE GENDER THAT YOU ARE. BUT, I DO WISH THEY WOULD APPLY THAT LOGIC TO THE BIGGER GAMES TOO. AND MY BEEF IS THAT IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER
