So, did you see the Harry Potter movie, and you probably think the game isn't going to be not even close to the movie? Well, you're wrong. The Harry Potter game is a great adventure game, has a great plot, and has brilliant graphics. What you do in the game is walk around as Harry, duel evil foes,go to classes, learn spells, and play Quiditch. This is a great game and I deffinetly recommend this game to gamers who really want to have a great time and a challenge.
WONDERFUL!

She (my daughter) screamed with delight when she opened the package then proceeded to play this brilliantly written game for house. I imagine this game will be playing on our CD for months. Faithful to the book, your kid (and you when they go to bed) will love this game. 100% certain.

Although the game does not follow the book (or the movie) as well as it could, that allows for you to have a unique experience. Even though you know how the end will be (if you've seen the movie or read the book), the story of getting there is unique.
The game is not extremely complicated, allowing amateur gamers as well as experienced ones to equally enjoy the game. During the game, you learn a variety of spells like Flipendo, Lumos, Alohomora, and my personal favorite Wingardium Leviosa! You then use the spells you learn in class to help complete tasks in each level.
In each level, not only do you complete the objective, but you can find Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans for Fred & George. If you collect the right amount of beans, they will give you a wizard card (25 hidden throughout the whole game). Of course, there are other wizard cards hidden throughout the game you have to find. Collect enough beans for Fred & George and you get a special surprise. Collect ALL the wizard cards you get another surprise.
The games graphics are great (kind of boxy in some areas), but this only deters from the game a little bit. All in all, everyone should have a great time playing this wonderful game.
A must have for Potter fans!

Even if you've never heard of Harry Potter, this game will still delight you. It is full of magic (well, duh!) and adventure, and Quidditch. I stay up all night playing again and again. A must have for Potter lovers and a must have for gamers.

I bought this game just out of curiosity also for my wife's birthday present who is into Harry Potter. The game itself is quite challenging for adults as well as for kids. I am still trying to understand how to move around as this is not an easy task
I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a challenging game as well as for good graphics
Not that great for such a great character

I was really hoping that this game would be a lot more involved than it is. It doesn't do justice to a story that's so rich and detailed. You cannot save your games except at the end of levels. This is especially annoying because you have to do levels over and over and over and over again until you finish them, making game play unfun and kind of boring. And there's some really difficult if not impossible levels.
The spell system is fun.
But this game is essentially Tomb Raider without the cool moves.

wow!!! i loved this game. the graphics, levels, characters, voices, music, and esp. quiddich were awesome. i'm not the best gamer, but i beat this in about 6 hours of straight play. people have been complaining about the controls and difficulty, but it really isnt that hard once you get used to it. besides, you can't lose in quidditch, and all the levels are easy once you put some thought into them. i only gave this game 4 stars (i wish it could be 4.9) because i think it was too short(hopefully they'll make a goblet of fire pc game i cant wait), and for all these other reasons. i was disapointed when i found that there was more to do in the PS version, and that it was closer to the movie than the PC version. plus, voldemort and fluffy didnt look right. you barely see hedwig, you see prof. mcgonagall for about 5 seconds when she tells you youre on the quidditch team( i heard she teaches you a spell in the PS version) and snape for only a few minutes. i also wish there were more spells because some, esp. the flippendo, got VERY annoying. if only you could use the spells whenever you felt like it, not in some preset place (i thought a lot of the places were dark, maybe its just me - they needed 'lumos'), and i wish there was an explore mode so you could just have fun looking around the castle and its surroundings. overall, i consider this one of my best games, and i hope they make one for every book/movie. i recommend this for anyone of any age. hey, maybe it could convert a few people to potter fans. hope this helped.:-D
Very Enjoyable :)

I'm an avid fan of the Harry Potter books, so when I recieved the game for Christmas I was really thrilled! The graphics in the game were amazing, and the characters looks and voices were true to the film. Flying on a broomstick and playing Quiddich was a lot of fun and also not too difficult to manage. The different levels were varied and excellent, I got to learn spells, save Hermione from a troll and knock Draco Malfoy off his broomstick (which I must say, was quite an enjoyable thing to do!) The whole game was a lot of fun! The things I didnt like about the game were the fact that the characters mouths didnt move when they spoke, they just tended to flail their arms about when talking. I also found both the beginning and end of the game dissapointing. The start of the game was rushed into, and I was expecting an amazing ending (which I didnt get). Despite that, I still enjoyed the game and would recommend any Harry Potter fan to buy it :)
Hard without a joystick

Bought this for my granddaughter and I to play together. Neither of us have perfect motor control but we aren't slackers either. The broomstick stuff is really difficult unless you have a joystick. And, until you get through the broomstick stuff, you can't go on to the problem solving. I need to rent an adolescent who games a lot to get through this part.
