Best N64 game for holiday season!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 8 / 16

This game is going to be great. I have played the PC version and was instantly hooked. But it is going to be even better for N64. With the expansion pack the graphics are going to be great and the gameplay is going to be much simpler. I am also looking forward to the multiplayer of this game. If you are looking for a fun, realistic action game this winter, this is the one to get!

The PC version reigns supreme

I own the Rainbow 6 PC version and it's an excellent game. Unfortunatly, my computers graphics card, and speed is pure crap. My friend and I then decided to rent it to see how it compared to the PC version. The graphics were very good, and the speed was fast. But the game developers did a very sloppy job creating this game. They just dumped a bunch of levels in the game and all you do is run around, and solve very simple objectives. No storyline whatsoever! No John Brightling or Anne Lang and their evil plot. The sound wasn't half as good as the PC version, it just looped over and over. They had no bio-suits. Only 2 people to a team. You could not go out of 1st person veiw. The graphics were excellent and the speed was exceptional but the cool story that made me like the game in the first place was demolished. The game was just sloppy.

This game is a complete all out as real as you can get game about a strike team. Everything is very real and requires alot of planning and strategy. Some levels can be very hard without planning and a few levels like mission 9: Deep Magic, can get very hard. This game is one of my favorite classics. TRUST ME that you will love this game.

It pulls together great action with intense SWAT tactics. You pick your team of eight (like SWAT), plan the mission on a map with waypoints, then execute your mission. It has a variety of SWAT weapons like entry weapons;MP5, shotguns, Enfields... and sniper weapons;PSG-1, Walther 2000, and M14's... If your looking for a great SWAT-like game this is your best choice!

Sweet!

This game is da bomb there are no possible flaws that I can see and it has great graphics. Other than graphics this game kicks with awesome game play and cool multiplayer mode. The "before the mission" screen is cool too, it tells you everything you want to know about the mission. This game has a lot of options too. This game definantly deserves a five, it is if not the best at least one of the best N64 games on the market.

This is an awesome game.I have never played any other game like it.I heard of this game when it came out for the computer and my friend said get it.I didn't get a chance to.Boy did I miss out.I bought it for the 64 as soon as it came out.I love it.The characters. The way you can pick your team and pick what weapons they use or what area they go to.You can make a layout for your teams to go to and do their mission. This is a top game in its class. The only other game that comes close to this is Golden Eye which I also recomened if you like this game.

this ain't the PC version

Rated on the Nintendo 64 level, a good game. pretty good graphics, and lots of cool levels. it's missing ONE major thing though... the 8 team-members-at-a-time option. I miss it from the original PC version, and other Rainbow Six fans should agree. I did enjoy how included were some Eagle Watch missions, but they didn't include the Taj Mahal, a very good, fun level. If you have a good computer, get the PC version, if not, the 64 version is worth the buy!

One Of The Best Games Ever

I just got the game for N64, it just happened to be sitting on the shelf. Anyway, I took it home and got started on it right away. From the beginning, the music draws you in. I could't stop playing it. I was so much fun, I couldn't put the controller down. The graphics are great, the idea of the game is great, overall the game is great. I suggest, you go out and buy it. Altough it probably won't be on the shelves anymore considering the fact that everyone wants to get their hands on it. My friend bought a N64 because he just wanted to have the game. I know that I am babbling but I just don't want you to miss out on a great game.

Its all in the details

This is not your traditional 3D shooting gallery type game. A great deal of strategy is involved. First, you review your mission. Second, you pick your four members for the mission. Next, you arrange your team, pick their equipment, guns, and even attire. Then comes the part where it can get detailed, you plan out the path of the mission. You can be detailed, or just skip it all together. The interesting thing about plotting out the mission is that you can plot out which way your teammates go when they split into teams of two, or even split up in four ways to take separate routes to eliminate bad guys and save hostages. There are tons missions, a password feature, a gamepack save feature, so that way you will not have to do the mission over and over again. There are three levels of difficulty, different mission types, save hostages, eliminate a leader, prevent a leader from leaving his compound and retake Big Ben!
