The best 360 game to date

Rainbow Six Vegas is, by far, the best and most realistic military shooter available on the Xbox 360. The realism is a hallmark of Tom Clancy games and it in top form in this title. The gear you are allowed to use is all current or based on what may be actually used in the near future. The weapons are all very good representations of their real world counterparts. And despite the great selection all of them seem to have their own feel and style to them. The reloading drill animations are spot on and you learn early in a tactical reload will save you a good amount of time over an empty reload.

The story can be a bit cliche and predictable, but is very serviceable. And it is unlikely you are looking for a Clancy RPG anyway. But the ability you are given to customize your character and gear online has a very RPG approach to it. The online play is amazing and the different modes keeps it exciting and fresh. You are able to play through against the enemy AI with your buddies or go head on head against real players. I don't understand why all current shooter's don't have a coop mode. Even then few have one as good and as well thought out as RSV's. This game also has healthy Xbox Live support with several map packs and game modes being released for it.

The graphics are great and the environments amazing. The environments are not completely destructible but you can cause enough damage to make it very believable. The computer AI is spot on and very tough at times, as is the dialog they use. It is also wonderful to find the AI for your squad members is also very good. I have been playing this game since its release date and it is still extremely fun. There have been a few FPS games released since then that are as good but none are better.

Even though Vegas 2 is about to be released, I would still buy this game. I even went and bought the 3 Rainbow games from the first xBox that play on the 360 after playing this game. There are still tons of people playing Vegas and its easy to find a great game. This game has a greater realism and replay value than the 2 other most popular FPS's Halo 3 and COD 4. 5 Stars.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas is a must play game. in the game you play as the leader Logan, who is fighting Mexicans who have taken over las Vegas. you and your team have to stop the Mexican army,deactivate their bombs they have in the casinos and save innocent civilians. but they have a traitor on their team leading you straight into a trap. play and find out how the story ends this action packed game is one you must play.

This game is a must buy. I bought this game for $[...] it was a steal. If this game isnt already sold out you need to buy it what ever the price. The graphics on hd tv are unreal. Regular tv is just fine though.

I beat the game in a few days on normal difficulty, then went onto online play, which completely got me addicted to the game. Can't imagine another game being better than this. Most definitely the best shooter i've ever played.

Great game. Graphics are superb, gameplay is awesome, enemies are smart, it's very realistic. This is one of my favorite games, as well as Gears of War. Good job Ubisoft.

Definatly not what I expected

This game is decent. Its fun to play and its definatly pretty cool shooting your way into and out of casinos. I also like the fact that I can customize my character and will expect this from more shooters in the future. Now I will explain why I only gave this game 3 stars. First I had to knock one star off simply for the amount of bugs in the game and the fact that many enimies spawned in rooms that I already cleared. Sometimes simply walking past a certain point magically generates enemies which made me feel the gameplay was too scripted. The more serious issue for me however was the online multiplayer. Everone was talking about how this was a tactical shooter like GRAW, but instead of fighting outdoors you fight through building hallways. THIS GAME IS NOT ANYTHING LIKE GRAW in terms of how the multiplayer is played. This game is an arcade shooter more like Halo than GRAW. In GRAW the objective is to move one area to another and go unseen because one shoot kills. The objective in this game isnt to move through the map without being seen, it is simply to overpower your enemy in a shootout. Its fun, but in GRAW when I killed someone I felt like I had to work and outsmart the person, flank them, or get off a better shot. In this game however I feel somewhat lucky when I get a kill cause we were standing directly in front of each other shooting rambo style and I happened to get a headshot in. There are even times in this game where I will see someone running, hit them directly in their back a couple times, and they just keep running unphased into cover. Shooting them doesnt even knock them back or slow them down, then once in cover they regenerate health. Also I dont like the fact in this game that there arent enough paths that mass shootouts take place. In GRAW, there was so many wide open places I could take shots from. In this game (especially calipso casino multiplayer map), there is really only two hallways where shootouts take place. There are plenty of rooms and hallways in this game, but the maps were designed for the teams to meet in certain areas over and over again. Also, gernades in this game are overpowerful and used wayyyy too much. Seeing gernades flying in and out of rooms was cool the first game, but now its just making me feel like this game is too arcade-ish. Overall this game is fun but flawed, and not what I was looking for. Its NOT a tactical shooter like graw, its an arcade halo-ish shooter, except this game takes place in real world style places with real world style people and guns. Other than that, this game is too much halo rambo gernade fest gaming for me.

The game is so far been pretty good.... I have played this game in the past and so far this has been the best. The Multi-player games are the sh**t! I have not tried the online play, yet. Do note that there are problems... a) unable to unlock any new weapons, due to no online access. b)unable to custom character, again no online access. c)game has a habit of not loading all players, or at times kicks players out of games on own. d) sniper rifle is useless!!! e) can't system link with split screen like halo... f) can't just join in a game, you have to wait for game to accecpt you, even if your waiting.... g)gots its ups and downs, best damn multi-player game in a long time........

This is the most addictive video game I have ever played, being able to play on xbox live is a real plus.
