EARTHBOUND! Thats the best RPG i have ever played the only game that has cool enimies like the popular Starman. Which include Starman, Starman Jr., Starman Super, Starman DX, Ghost of Starman and my personal fav Final Starman. also i like the bosses for the 7 sanctuary locations Titanic Ant, Mondo Mole, Trillionage Sprout, SHROOOOOM!, Plauge Rat of Doom (which looks like a rat that sat on a ...or at least laid on one), Thunder & Storm, Electro Specter, and the final one has 2 forms Carbon Dog and Diamond Dog. Plus the final thing wonderful plot a perfect game that takes quite a while to beat! Took me a month and a couple of days. Buy this game it is really cool and really humorous.

....a awesome classic for RPG lovers!

Of course everyone in Japan refers EB to Mother 2 one of the greatest games there it sold extremely well. That is why Ness is in Smash Bros. and Smash Bros. Melee the reason it sold not poorly but not great here was because of the odd storyline. Sorry just telling details of all of the above now to the game itself. This game has a great plot although it is kind of odd but I would give the plot a 4.75 out of five. The graphics for that time it wasn't that bad ummmm... i would give it a 4. The Sound has some very good music especially the boss battles and towns I'd say a very good 5. It's a little easy to catch on to how to use the controller I'll give it a 4.25.The last and final rating how much fun is it VERY FUN a awesome classic for RPG lovers! The rating for this is 5 stars. And overall a 4.75

Earthbound: Nintendo's Undiscovered Masterpiece

If you had not played Earthbound, stop reading this now and BUY Earthbound. If you have not experienced Earthbound, you have not truly lived. Earthbound IS the best Super Nintendo game in the world. Why; you ask? Let's look at other RPG's. In almost every RPG has swords, shields, what have you. In Earthbound, you get modern items like baseball bats, frying pans, and rocket launchers. It also takes place around present day. Mix evil but humorous 'monsters' like "The New-Age Retro Hippie" and "Shroom" with a very funny story line; and you get a masterpiece. So why do I say 'Undiscovered?' Unfortinatly, Earthbound came out when the Nintendo was jumping to Nitendo 64 projects. Moron kids wanted to sell their Super Nintendo's for Nintendo 64's. The kids who sold their Super Nintendo's missed out on the most underrated game in the history of video games. Also, Nintendo did not promote it enough. While it was a blockbuster hit in Japan, most American gamers overlooked Earthbound. However, if you are checking this review, you either own Earthbound or have an intrest in it. Buy this game! You'll love it! You'll want to replay it over and over! As for me, I'm waiting for a sequel...

Ok... people, this game OWNS!!! Look, you start out in your house and you hear a noise, it's a meteorite and your annoying next door neighbor, Pokey, is on the scene. you find out an evil dude called Gyggas is gonna destroy everything and you hafta stop him. You find 8 .... "Sanctuary" locations (basically, a big area with monsters and a boss, kill boss, get to the spot) You have a "Sound stone" that records part of a song that each location has. when you meet all your friends and find all locations, you beat the gyggas (and their assistant, Pokey) and live happily ever after, in a much less lame way than it sounds.

A great SNES RPG

Unlike many RPGs, Earthbound takes place in a modern-day setting. Instead of traditional RPG enemies like magicans and wizards, they are now replaced by enemies such as the New Age Retro Hippie (my favorite) and Crazed Sign. And it has lots of modern-day stuff such as hotels, department stores, traveling jazz bands, and tall skyscrapers. The story is about Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo who have to save the world from the evil Giygas, while traveling from small towns such as Onett, to strange places like Moonside. The only downside is that you can only name the main characters by using 5 characters. If you can find this game, then you should buy it. If you don't, then you'll be missing out on one of the greatest SNES RPGs ever.

My Favorite Game

This is the greatest game. Dead serious, since the days of the SNES, video game consoles have come along so far and yet nothing since has ever really topped this game. The same infinte replay value as Super Mario Brothers, Sonic the Hedgehog and Tetris. Every few years I bust out the SNES and Earthbound and nobody sees me for a week or so.

Greatest game of all time

Seriously. I'm not even going to go into detail about the millions of ways in which this game is awesome. All I am going to say is, I have played all the way through this game at LEAST seven or eight times, and still manage to keep going back and playing through it again and again, while never getting sick of it. Earthbound is an epic win, as far as I'm concerned, and if you haven't played it, you're stupid. Be smart. Buy a copy of this game. Now.

Before reviewing this, be ready to visit your local import stores to get the Japanese Version of Mother 1+2 (Earthbound for the SNES AND the original NES Earthbound Zero combined in one cartridge)! It's coming soon!

Okay people, I love this game. I just got it from my friend a year ago, and I gotta say the game rules! I like the storyline!

The graphics are the turn-down. The characters are good, and the scenery is swell too. The battles are what I dislike. You can't see your characters; only the people you are fighting. The Backgrounds are what help it survive; they are animated, colorful colors that swish and stuff to help make up for the factt the graphics are lacking. The monsters have seen better too; I mean, who wants to fight a Taxi car or Gas pump? Its more like possessed objects and animals.

I love the music. Earthbound feautres the best of the best, and lots of it. It really brings out the mood, like in Winters or the town of Threed at night. It truly is the gem of the game.

I also like the characters. Ness doesn't talk, but Pokey sure does. He's like your rival, and he always says random stuff. It's funny at times.

If you see this game, you'll want to get it. It isn't Lufia II or FF3, but its a great game to relax with.
