I am getting this game soon and have very high hopes. I played Xenogears and the ideas and the detail of the plot represented in that game are just amazing (the whole pan-spermia theory)! Can't wait to get it!

This game is simply excellent. It's story rivals that of final fantasy VII. however certain parts were cheesy so I gave it four stars instead of five.

My thoughts of this game...

I got this game yesterday. I am only 4 hours into it so I can't really judge it completely. But seeing as I'm writting a review this early in the game you might ask, why? Well to be honest I am really enjoying this game. I've beaten Xenogears (Which so far is still the best RPG, in my opinion) and now I've decided to go into the world of Xenosaga. For those that have played Xenogears will find themselves in familiar territory with this game. So far decent RPG but something seems to be lacking (That's why 4 stars instead of 5) But who knows perhaps it will get a whole lot better and blow Xenogears out of the water (doubt it) Well have fun everyone on this epic space opera. I know I will. See ya!

It's a very good game, if you are a true RPG gamer.
Very good graphics & Sound. Very long game play too (80+hrs) Lots of CG movie.
It has a very good battle system.
Namco did a very good job on this one.

Alot of games come out that fail to be an equal to its predacesor. This game is an exception. This game has great graphics thanks to the "Playstation 2"'s hardare capabilities. The acting, for the first time ever in a video game, is actually acted out pretty well. Soul Reaver is probably the only other game that had good acting. And the long cut scenes aren't as bad as everyone says they are. Back on Playstation, every RPG used text boxes, which to understand the story, you would have to read for about twenty minutes every time you talked to anybody. Do you know what I'm talking about. The scenes on those games weren't even nice to look at. Just a whole lot of words that you had to put your own acting skills in, while reading to yourself. This game is just like those reading scenes, except you can hear your character acting it out instead of having to act it out yourself. And the best part, you don't have to read. So they aren't that bad. They are just like those long scenes in old games that involve long reading sessions, so people, stop whining about it, and be glad you don't have to read it.

I was waiting for it

ok, there it is :) A long wait but it was worth it. What a game. The story is very interesting but takes a little bit of time to start. The cut scenes are great and one good point, you can skip them.
The graphics are amazing, very detailed. The combat system is really easy to understand and I really enjoy the combos system.

so, if you are looking for a great adventure game after FFX, this is the game you need.

have fun

A game to consider...

I admit that I really loved this game. Once you got new characters in the game, you were able to switch your lead character and walk around as them. Not that it makes a difference in the gameplay other than you use them in battle.

Above anything in the game, I believed the graphics was the best part of the game. Secondly, I would say the story and then finally the battle system. The cutscenes were sometimes very lengthy. Sometimes they were rewarding and interesting, and a few times I found myself falling asleep from the yacking that continued for about an hour. I bought this game mainly because it looked to be so dang awesome, and it really was. Sadly, I feel a little empty. The game really didn't have a complete ending, hense why a sequel is to follow. Some of the features were hardly needed like the robots, "AGWS" I actually thought I was able to send replies to e-mails that I received on the game as well. I wasn't able to do that either. I also had the impression the game was going to have a very deep story...well I didn't think it had as deep of a story as it could have. Nonetheless, I think this is because of the sequel to follow, because I'm guessing the second will make it feel more complete as the story and features go. Overall the game was excellent and I would recommend it to any RPG fan, or just anyone looking into a game with lots of story and pleasing to the eyes.

Very good game has extremly good graphics, fun, great storyline, helpful on most parts, now for a proper critique the negatives maybe a little to long on the movies (i wish it told me i could pause the movies, i had to go to the bathroom and hold it for what seemed like forever)it didn't take me that much time to beat around thirty hours and i leaft it on for a while and also speant an hour equiping for an easy last battle, it seemed incompleat expecialy if you played xenogears, a bit leaner and predictable at times ( i could always tell when a boss was going to attack. worst thing about it my characters where low to mid thirties in level when the game was over it should be like ff7 im about 80-100 when i win.

worth buying and if you have lots of time you can beat it and not miss anything.
