I recently purchased a DS instead of a PSP specifically for the games. (I can play both movies and music on my iPod, i don't see any other reason to get a PSP)
I was so glad i bought this game, and i wish i would have left Resident Evil DS behind! I'm not even done with the game but i do admit the graphics are amazing, for the DS. The game so far is very intriguing, especially with other characters.
5/5!
Best Metroid game EVER!

This game is without a doubt the best Metroid game ever. Besides the disgusting aliens you have to deal with in every Metroid game you must also deal with six other bounty hunters who can be tricky to defeat.
On the plus side: New bounty hunters that are way cooler then Samus, A interesting story, Nice music, killer graphics, different weapons to help mix things up.
On the down side: After beating the story from start to finish two or three times it starts to get boring, lack of diversity in the bosses, enemies pop up at inconveniant times, one or two slight loop holes in the plot, some reguler bosses are harder then the final boss.
This game is very fun. The controls take a little getting used to and the game can get boring in some places. However the mysterious plot and awsome bounty hunters make up for it. I hope Sylux and Trace are in Metroid Prime 3
Great Metroid, but not the game advancement we are used to.

The first thing one should be ready for is that you do not upgrade Samus' suit the usual way. Her suit comes fully powered, save the gravity suit abilities, but all you add to it are new weapons. The new beams however are very fun. You must think, somewhat about the enemies you are fighting to choose the fastest gun with which to destroy them with.
Campaign, 4 Stars
It is a relatively long campaign as most DS Games go, yet they still pack a mean multiplayer. Traveling from planet to planet to gain Octoliths in order to gain, the Ultimate Power. The Ultimate Power may not be achieved at all, or not until the end of the game, how much does that suck? Overall, the campaign is fun, full of great puzzles and strategies, and long.
Multiplayer (Wi-Fi), 4 Stars
I can't get enough of my "NIntendo DS Live" as I call it. The multiplayer is so well planned out. The ability to become any bounty hunter in the game that you have defeated, actually voting on the maps you fight at, and all the friends and rivals you will meet. It has provided endless fun for me and my friends.
Overall, get it, because the Metroid series ends with M3 Corruption. Don't you wanna say you at least tried all the games?

There's nothing like getting on to some sweet multiplayer right before bed, and staying up all night playing it. The game gives a kickstart in the single player mode with the levels being much longer than I expected (I'm not sure if it's like that in the other games since I've never played those before). I still wish that for the Wi-fi that they set up more of a lobby-like thing with servers or something, instead of having to wait forever for Nintendo to find you 3 other guys.
I really like all the bounty hunters and there sweet moves. The levels have a beautiful design and they have a wide variety of them, and the graphics are PHENOMINAL. If you got the DS early on and played the demo, you would've saw how good the graphics are. These seem even better. They don't exactly explain somethings well enough, like I'm still clueless on how to check your Wi-Fi ratings in game. And it says you can use a mic, but i have no idea how to do it, since I can't find a single thing in the booklet.
Overall, this is an excellent game, much better than I expected. If you are in the mood for a good shooter with excellent multiplayer (other than the few complaints that I listed), this game is a MUST BUY. Have fun!
Great Game

If you are tired of playing mario kart on wifi and want a new game to play for the ds, this is the one for you. METRIOD PRIME HUNTERS!! YEAH!. this game rocks. the single player is kind of hard and i only beat the first level and im not motivated to play any more. The online mode in this game is unbelieveable. Its like Halo for the ds. The graphics are really good for the ds. I dont get why gamespot.com gave it an 8. the sound is ok, but i usally keep it down. Its kind of hard to get used to but it only takes awhile. If you are looking for a new game for your ds collection, get MPH! My last word, get this game!
Breakdown:
Graphics: 5/5
Sound 5/5
Controls 4.5/5

Pros:
It's the best FPS for the DS, so if you like FPSes and own a DS, you should probably buy this game. The multiplayer, whether wireless with friends or NiWifi is fun. Multiplayer with bots works great when you're out of Wifi range or not with friends. Controls work well once you get used to it.
Cons:
Best FPS on the DS doesn't say much. Horrible gameplay/graphics/sound/replay compared to console/PC FPSes. Terrible level design with few brightspots peppered in places. Not fun playing against people who've had this game for a long time.
so good,so good

After playing through half of the single player mode and obtaining a Rank 3/5 on the online component of the game, I have decided to warn everybody about this game.
#1. The single player mode is BORING. It is REPETITIVE.
#2. The bosses are RECYCLED. Hooray for fighting the same boss 3 times with another cheap gimmick added in to make it more difficult.
#3. Weapons: they are TERRIBLE. To be blunt, there are THREE useful weapons in the game (Imperialist, Missiles, and that freeze gun).
#4. Out of most of the people I play online, I gathered some data of different players and found that approximately 67/104 players (~65%) would rather chase people around in their alt-form (morph ball, etc.) rather than have a firefight.
#5. Balance: the other weapons (with the exception of the 3 weapons I mentioned above) are peashooters compared to those three. I will explain this is detail later.
#6. Glitches: I have counted over 20 different glitches that can be used to give an unfair advantage of the glitcher. For example you can fire a missile at the floor and launch yourself through a wall. From there, you can safely 1-shot everybody without having to worry about getting hit by gunfire because they cant hit you when you are behind a wall.
#7. Matchmaking: Frequently I find myself being matched with rank 5s (highest rank), which basically means good game for you (loss). You are either matched with a) completely new players or b) top ranked players.
#8. Communication: The 'friend-code' system is completely unnecessary, and not being able to do anything but a 4 player Free-For-All on Wi-Fi just gets plain repetitive.
#9. Exploiting: Using the freezing gun I mentioned earlier (forget the name), and the hunter 'Noxus,' you can use his affinity weapon to freeze people who are nowhere near you, and three shot them with the freeze gun to their head.
#10. Levels: There are 3 levels that are nearly identical to 3 other levels, but just have an extra room or have the weapons relocated for further frustration.
#11. Hunters: Two of the hunters COMPLETELY SUCK.
#12. No variety. I have once gotten into 3 separate games in-a-row that everyone picked the trigger-happy hunter, Trace.
#13. Level Design: absolutely HORRIBLE. Levels like Head Shot or Weapons Complex just make me want to drill a hole in my game. It's almost as if Nintendo never thought of designing levels SPECIFICALLY for capture or survival.
In conclusion: I find this game extremely frustrating, and nowhere near rewarding for completing goals within the game. If Nintendo had thought more and looked at other FPS games for inspiration and ideas, I think this game would have been five times better. Not impressed.
Spend your money on something else, this game is not worth purchasing.
