This is a really good game,it has better graphics then 2000,but the gameplay is not,2001 feels like your playing the game on Nintendo, but besides that, please get this game if your a baseball fan.

Better Than Playstation 2 Triple Play

I bought Triple Play Baseball for the PS2 and it was so bad that I sold it and bought Triple Play 2001 for PS. It's better in just about every way (except for stadium graphics).

Room for improvement

This series has the best batter-pitcher interface, and graphics, but that's about all. The defense and base-running are terrible! It's pretty easy to use a conservative swing and go the other way, but the way the ball reacts after being hit is not good. These guys should team up with High Heat Baseball and make a game together. High Heat has a similar interface for the pitcher and batter, but playing against the computer is no fun. I've been playing baseball games since the original RBI, which is still the best American released baseball game ever. I've owned and played at least 25 different bsaeball games. I own a Japanese game called World Stadium 4, which is by far the best I've played. The graphics are cartoon like, but the gameplay is awesome. If the American makers want to improve their games rather than just adding new rosters, the should check out the World Stadium series which I think evolved from RBI baseball.

This game is on the edge of fake, or real

This game does have quite good graphics, and does have easy gameplay. But what it does'nt have, is the realeness of real baseball. Like hitting a homerun often results in a rocket sound. And sliding sounds like a gun shot. Most people will enjoy this game. But if your looking for a game to have fun keeping stats, and playing a season, I recomend waiting for wsb2k for dc, or all-star baseball for 64

Extreme challenge good but, stadiums and sound are the same

The extreme big league challenge is a lot of fun but the stadiums haven't changed. The fielding is easier and more realistic. The pitching meter is a good improvement. I agree with another reviewer that the arguing with the umpires is useless. Too bad they could not use that idea for rain or a realistic looking crowd. If Madden 2000 could have weather why not Triple Play 2001.

EA Sports has did it again

This has to be the best baseball game for the Playstation today! With new games like the Extreme Home Run Challenge and great gameplay make this game in a whole new league. I recommend this game for everyone who loves EA Sports.

This game is much better than last years.I feel that last year's game sucked and was cheaply done. One of the few things I hate about this year's game is you must have a memory card to play a game in season play which sucks if you do not have one.I also do not like the way this game portrays the throws of the players.I do like the Major League Baseball Challenge because it adds something to the game. However I feel that it lacks the realism of games like All-Star Baseball.

The BEST baseball game yet.

This is an awesome game! it really has everything! all the teams, stadiums, players- along with create a player, a target style home durby, and un-lockable legends of the pastime! i recommend this game to ANYONE who is a baseball fan.

Pretty good game, but still kinda sucks.

The best part is that you can "earn" legends such as Babe Ruth, Gehrig, Aaron, Mays, Satchel Paige, Cy Young, etc. Other than that, there isn't anything special. HEY ELECTRONIC ARTS, HOW ABOUT SOME "ALL TIME" TEAMS?

A hello ?

Not a good game at all. Please I don't need to smack a home run everytime at bat! Not for a true fan, but if your into the arcade end of sports games, then check it out.
