This game is so much fun. i am obsessed with it! there are so many things to do in your town. i thought it was even better than the gamecube version!
You can fish in the river, ocean, and ponds, and catch bugs. You can donate fish and bugs to the Museum. You can also dig up fossils and buy paintings from Redd's store to donate to the museum, and once you have everything in the museum, there is a HUGE prize! The museum has a place where you can create constellations in the sky and it has a coffee shop where you can learn about the mysterious Brewster's life. A dog musician named K.K. Slider plays songs at the coffee shop every Saturday night. In your town, you can also plant trees and flowers, and shake the fruit off the trees and sell it or eat it.You can shop in the Nooks shop which upgrades once in a while, or buy clother at the Able's store. Best of all, you can talk to your animal friends. You can invite them to your house (which also upgrades as you pay off your mortgage). Your animal friends might want to move away, but you can stop them if u want them to stay.
There are some secrets in A.C...like if you give that hungry walrus a red turnip to eat, he'll give you something which you give to someone else, and it continues on. You can use your singshot, which u use to shoot presents in the sky, to shoot a flying spaceship, and an alien will drop into your town! If you hit Pate the pelican mailman, he'll tell you things and stay in your town for a while. theres also a mysterious red "thing" that jumps out of the ocean rarely. if you're lucky, you can talk to him. theres also fishing tourneys, bug catching contests, the flower fest, and many events. There are so many things to do in your town!

I bought it only because of the high ratings on Amazon, praying that it would be good. She had never heard of it - but within 10 minutes of playing it, she was hooked & hasn't put it down! She absolutely LOVES the game and her sister is fighting for play time on it too. :)

Animal Crossing is an awesome game! There are limited activities, but there is so much you can discover. And there is always the ongoing drive to make your house humungo!

My 7-year-old daughter and I (36) are loving this game! I even went to the extent of buying another DS and a 2nd copy so that we wouldn't fight over it (and so her little sister could play her own game, too) AND use the DS-to-DS feature to visit each other's towns. She's loving writing me notes and leaving "surprises" buried around town for me to find... I'm enjoying the deeper-level "feng shui" and collecting aspects of arranging furniture and the sense of accomplishment when I pay off my mortgage (only in a game, folks!!) or take a new bug to the museum. Has a great resale/replay value (also makes a great game to buy used) because you can completely wipe old games off the card and start from scratch! I've also used the WFC cross-country, and that's a blast, too!
If you've got a DS, this is a must-have game, period.
Great game; Great people

This game is so much fun, and I have gone online and swapped codes with other players and everyone who plays is so nice and friendly...definetly opens the world up.

The interesting thing about "Animal Crossing: Wild World" is that it teaches responsibilty. In order to maintain a pleasant town and attract new neighbors, one has to water flowers, talk to neighbors, send mail, etc. daily, sort of like chores. Only funner. Earning money, too, and buying things one wants, or paying off ones mortgage, both take effort but are well worth it. "Animal Crossing: Wild World" can be a handful, but it teaches responsibility and is very fun to play.

I bought this game after I seen all the amazing reviews this game had.I was slightly disappointed,as I found it more like Sims then what I expected.
My 12 year old daughter is hooked on it and has helped me learn to play a lil bit,but she's already buying clothes ,designing clothes, and all kinds of other things with the game.
It's just too time consuming for me and I don't see where the incredible fun ev eryone finds in it comes from, that being said I have only owned it 3 days so I don't want to be unfair.Maybe I'm missing something.
I want to experience that highly addictive fun play everyon e speaks of so I can get the best outta my Wild World Game.
