This caused me D.amage O.ver T.ime to play this game. The graphics are incredibly horrible seeing that we are in a new age. The gameplay is ok, but not even worth writing three reviews about. All praise should be deleted from this. There is no fun involved. There is limited interactive environment and the economy makes it WAY to easy to build a roller coaster. Must be more complicated, and much more detailed.

This game is average. It is a pretty fun sim. I played it for about a month straight. You get to make your dream theme park. One problem i didnt really like is there isnt enough room in the parks. It gets pretty boring when there isnt enough room to build a really cool roller coaster you want to build. But all and all this game is fun.

You get to run your own amusement park. Keep the guests happy, offer the newest rides available and keep all rides running safely will keep the guests coming and thus give you the cash to continue expanding.
My first time I played it I played for four hours. Graphics and sound are awesome and very realistic.
After playing RCT, your real life visits to Six Flags will have a new perspective.
If you are a roller coaster nut and love playing SimCity, you'll love RCT.
Having fun with Roller Coaster Tycoon!

This game lets you pick a scenario and lets you build a whole bunch of rides like roller coasters, merry-go-rounds, and log rides. But beware. You have a limited amount of money and you have to price everything. Make your park fun and exciting so people will come. Follow the objectives so you can get a new level.EXAMPLE: Your objective is to have 650 guests in your park by the end of October Year 3 and a park rating of 600. This game is so much fun that if you get it, you will have so much fun!

Well, I don't really see what the big deal is. It's one of those games that completely addicts you in the beginning, but after a while you start to get sick of watching the roller coaster you spent an hour on just go crashing to the ground.
Once you meet the first challenge, the rest are basically the same, just a little harder. All of the people I know who got the game got too tired of it before they could finish it.
Even though I don't like it now, there was a short period when I stayed up past 2AM playing it. I guess it's an average game, at first you are totally into it, but shortly after you loose interest. I recommend this game to gamers who don't really have anything to do, and are just looking for a cute game to waste their time playing. Rollercoaster Tycoon probably won't be as popular with some of the older kids, a little too young. Also, it's a little too tedious for REALLY little kids. I give it 3 stars.
NOT WORTH IT

Great game but it gets so Frusterating when all your guest get so mad. I have this game, and at first i liked it but it is a mission impossible to win or inprove your park. If you ever make a cool ride all your guest's hate it and start to get mad and then leave.
Fun, but gets boring after a while

When you first purchase it, this game is really fun. My friend had it and I loved it so much, I bought it with my own money. I shouldn't have, becuase there was another game I wanted, and now I'm sick of this one. Being twelve years old, my attention span is very short. This game would be more fun if you didn't have to beat the first (most boring) levels to move on to more exciting levels. Another thing that bugs me is that- It seems so long to get through one year. It takes forever to accomplish your "Object of the Game" thingy. Though this game is really fun the first few times you play it, It gets really boring just staring at the little men with brown hair and clothes in really messed up color combonations. Overall, this game could use a little more fun. I think that one thing would make this game better. The ability to ride your rollercoasters and go to other attractions. But, for now, this game is just boring.

Roller Coaster Tycoon is sort of reminiscent of the Sims. Why? because after a month of playing, it gets about as boring as possible. I beat about five of the levels but it took forever. Why? Because the game makes you wait for a real long time to reach the objective. By the third month I have already reached the objective and need to go do other things for three hours while the days pass onscreen. and then, a the end of the second year my computer goes to sleep and I can't get it back up again. Great. Now what? A wasted five hours? I bought the second expansion big deal, a few more Rollercoasters and themes and new levels. But I can't understand how anyone can beat this game. It's impossible unless you suddenly live in a Starbucks and have a month off to do whatever you want. My advice? Don't buy unless tyou've got some time to urn on something that's not even worth the time spending looking for it Online, much less the money you're paying on it.
