I could barely get through the first few minutes of the game. Something about the shakey camera work style movement of Spyro made me really sick feeling. And, it was kinda boring.

A poorly made and annoying little game

I bought this game so I could have some entertainment on a car trip. I shouldn't have. This game is pointless and annoying. Parts of it are too easy, and other parts seem impossible. It doesn't make any sense. I mean, all you have to do is collect all the gems, freeze a few fireflies (which happen to be unrealistically big) and complete some mini-games. It is extremely easy to destroy enemies, because most of them go down with one hit. When you play on the Sheila the kangaroo levels, you die a lot because it's hard to jump on enemies. The Agent 9 levels have prehistoric graphics, and also, the music is never the kind that gets your heart pumping. In Metroid Fusion, for example, it has very scary music when the SA-X (the ultimate enemy) goes by. In Spyro, it always has a happy little tune playing. I advise all gamers to buy something else, and avoid Spyro at all costs.

Its ok...

After playing Spyro:Season of Ice I thought this game would be amazing. Since it is a sequel it should be better, am I correct? Well it's not. If you are thinking about looking into getting a Spyro GBA game I highly recommend Spyro:Season of Ice...

Sadly,

I was disapointed when I beat the game in a few hours, but I thought it was a great game when I started. It has nicely done 3D graphics, good re-play ability and good gameplay. It also has several mini-games.(2 I know of) One is a checkers game called Dragon Draughts and the other is called Sprax Panic which I've never played before. You can also play with Sheila (a kangaroo) and Agent 9 the space monkey each with their own UNIQUE levels. There are 19 levels including 4 levels with Sheila and 4 with Agent 9.As well as 3 overworlds (Sunny Plains, Celestial Plains, and Starry Plains with 1 boss in each overworld).

I still play Spyro:Season Of Flame to get all of the gems and fireflies on each level to onlock Sprax Panic and to beat the game again and again.

Almost Five stars

This game is great except for one thing. The screan "jumps." what it is doing is centering Spyro to the middle of the screen. So when you stop the action, the screen keeps moving until Spyro is centered. Makes me a little sick after awhile....

Some improvements, some not so improvements...

This game is good. They added back some variety in that you have other characters to play again not just Spyro and Sparx. Sparx seems to have enlarged himself a bit in this one, making him easier to see. The graphics look excellent and the game is fun. I really liked the new atlas, it helps to show exactly what you are missing. Why did I only give it 4 stars? There is one annoying thing that bugs me. The screen seems "jumpy". It is almost as if it is anticipating where you are going to go, so when you stop the world stops moving and goes backwards to where you are. I found this to be my main complaint, after a bit, it kind of made me feel ill :)

Fun Game!

This was my first Spyro game to play on a GameBoy, and I was very suprised at the amazing color and detail of the game! This game has great graphics and color and music. The 3-D world also makes Spyro: Season of Flame more challenging. The only thing that disappointed me was the incredibly short amount of time it took me to complete the game. In this game, you have to save all of the fireflies and stop Ripto and company from taking over the Dragon Realms. There are 3 bosses in all. And, when you get tired of playing Spyro, you can takes a break and play Shelia the Kangaroo or Agent 9 the monkey in their own levels! This game has two mini-games: Dragon Draughts, or checkers with dragons as the pieces, and Sparx Panic. Sparx Panic can only be unlocked when the game is 100% complete and you have collected ALL 100 fireflies and ALL 8000 gems. The secret game is a great way to push you to actually COMPLETE the game instead of just winning. I'm not going to spoil the suprise, but I will tell you that it is a lot of fun and worth completing the game for. Actually, Sparx Panic is harder than the Spyro game itself. This game is a lot of fun and is definately worth trying!

It's good...

It's a good game. The only hassle is fireflies don't come that often, and for alot of zones you need alot of fireflies to open them. Also, those zones lead to Rhynoc hideouts, and you have to stop the Rhynocs from taking ALL of the FIREFLIES. Therefore, you wouldn't beat the game, which is a big hassle!!! Other than that, it has some great graphics, making the game look like a one-screen Nintendo DS game. Plus, there are some nice challenges, which leads you to crazy things! Also, it has some good music, the kind of music you would hear in Zelda. If you don't have this game and wan't a challenge out of Spyro, you should get this game.
