Be Prepared To Make A Fool of Yourself and Enjoy it!

Our Wii is less than two weeks old, and we've been sort of grasping at straws to find good games. We rented Smooth Mooves and went out and bought it the next day before having company over. It's filled with fun mini games that really take advantage of the interactive remote. It's great for me, especially, since I have a very short attention span when it comes to sitting in front of a tv screen. You're not doing anything repetitive, but constantly holding the remote in different ways and moving all over the place! Our family is thrilled with the fact that we're actually getting exercise with many of these moves! There are some challenging one player games, but this is mostly for group play, and for all ages.

This game is fun

This is a fun game. It has many interesting mini-games perfected by Wii sensor controller. I play this game with my 6 years old niece and 10 years old nephew, we have a lot of fun together. They all love it and learn how to play quickly.

The multi-player mode can be done little better.
I would like to see more multi-player games and players are allowed to use more than one controller.

One of the Best Games For Wii

This game is full of minigames that you could use in a party. There is over 200 minigames that you can unlock and play. The only bad part about it is that the story mode is really easy to beat. This is one of the best games for the Wii because of everything that you can do in this game.

Awesome Party Game

I like to play this game by myself or with my husband where we just take turns going through the levels.

I LOVE to play this game when we have a ton of people over. We recently played the game with 12 players and the fun lasted a few hours! It is a great game for people that insist that they are no good at video games.

I can see it being boring for hardcore gamers - but it is exactly what I wanted and expected from warioware.

Apparently some people just don't get it.

This isn't a typical game, that's for sure... And I agree it's not for everyone, but the people giving this 1-star reviews are wrong. The game is loads of fun, but it should be understood that the game makes more sense as a party/multi-player game. I've been playing by myself though and have been having lots of fun. The games are quick, but the point of the game is to make you do silly things -- especially to make you and your friends do silly things in front of each other.

This game is crazy

If you're looking for your everyday average video game this isn't for you. There is a loosely constructed story mode, but in order to progress you have to complete multiple minigames per level. Since each game only lasts about 5 to 10 seconds you can find yourself doing everything from shaving to playing ping-pong to driving to directing traffic in a playing session.
This is all about taking advantage of the Wii remote and the versatility it offers. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who just got a Wii and who wants to see what it can do.

A Seisure in Game Form

If you're looking for a game for the Wii that REALLY shows what the Wii controller can do, look no further - This is it and then some. It's fun, addicting, fast, simple, and is as difficult as you want to take it. You can easily beat the game in an hour or two, but it doesn't end there, that simply unlocks multi-player mode, which is the highlight of the game anyway.

There's a few different multi-player modes, which will have everyone in the room waving their arms around like idiots (but in a good way of course) and each one is unique and exciting.

Another highlight of this game, which I didn't hear anything about prior to playing it myself, is the way each "form" is taught. A "form" is the way of holding the controller for a particular micro game. A very serious-toned voice explains how to hold the controller, while the screen turns gray and soft dramatic music plays. Of course what the voice is actually saying is ridiculous, which goes perfectly with the theme of the game.

One more thing that adds an edge to this game is the use of the Mii feature, which is very well integrated and gives you a chance to see your Miis in something besides Wii Sports.

If you want to have fun with your Wii, or you're looking for a great multi-player game, here you go. Shopping doesn't get any easier than that.

Fun but lacking depth

Having played the Wario Ware on Gamecube, I didn't hesitate at all to pick up Smooth Moves without reading any reviews or checking out the game. The puzzles are just as fun as always and very fun to play.

However, there is a huge lack of multiplayer options. I first opened the game with some friends expecting to play some multiplayer, only to find that you have to first unlock the multiplayer. So after about 1 hour we were finally able to play against each other. Also, minus the Darts and Nose Racing, and Buddy Jumping games, there are really only 4 multiplayer games you can play, and 2 of them are Sudden Death, meaning you only get one shot to get a puzzle right and then you are out or the whole game is over, which doesn't make the multiplayer experience fun at all. With only 2 long multiplayer games, it can get boring after a while since you keep doing the same puzzles over and over. Perhaps if the multiplayer had all the puzzles in the single player, it would be more fun, but it quickly lost it's replay value for me and personally I don't think it's worth the $50.00.

I'd recommend at least renting it first to see if you think it's worth the price.

Good game, but not great

Some of the minigames are a lot of fun, some are really difficult. The controls can be really sensitive sometimes and sluggish others.
My biggest complaint is you have to complete the single player game to unlock multiplayer. Was a bit of a bummer when we had a few people over and couldn't do multiplayer yet. And once you do unlock it, it's not head to head multiplayer.
I enjoyed Cooking Mama Cook-off a lot more.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves is the latest in the line of WarioWare games, which involve microames that only last 2-10 seconds. These games are played one after another and require the player to quickly do what the game says. Smooth Moves features some very innovative ways to play it thanks to the Nintendo Wii's Remote. I felt that Smooth Moves did a great job with the hardware and used it successfully. All of the microgames are very fun and require you to do some very odd things with the Wii Remote. There are over 200 different microgames, which means you'll never get bored. I've played this game a ton and I still pull it out from time to time to play for 30 minutes or so. Overall, if you've never played WarioWare and you're looking for something that is fun for the whole family, check out WarioWare: Smooth Moves!
