Good for laughs, good for a group

A fun Wii game for a family or group - kids and adults alike will laugh out loud. Short little episodes (less than a minute each) lets you pass the Wiimote from person to person without much waiting for your next turn. Half the fun is watching the other guy fumble through his task.
The idea is to quickly figure out what your task is, and how to maneuver the wiimote to respond. So one minute (seconds, really!) you are holding the wiimote like a steering wheel while you try to balance an elephant on a board on a giant ball, the next minute you are (quick! you only have seconds to figure it out!) holding the Wiimote like a fishing rod, yanking out your catch of the day. Cheezy graphics and dry humor make this a laugh for kids and adults alike.
The only con is the price tag - definitely overpriced. This is a great party game; great for the short term; I think kids would get bored with it quickly though in the long run.

I've played it a few times and it was fun, but the kids love it. It's hilarious to watch them play. The games are challenging enough for my 10 year old to enjoy but most are easy enough for my 5 year old to pass the levels.

I am a mom who just got the Wii (mainly because I wanted it). I also have a 5 year old son who hates writing in school because he is not very good with his hand fine motor skills. This game builds his confidence and his motor control. It's very silly and fun and he loves sautéing and shaving. Great family game. I rented it to try it out and HAVE to buy this one.

WOW! What a game. I am a 37 year old mother of 3, NOT A GAMER and I think this game is awesome. We got a Wii for Christmas and have enjoyed this game almost nightly as a family entertainment. I wholeheartedly approve of the fun and entertainment in this game. No problem letting my children play and my husband and I roar with laughter at each other doing goofy moves on this thing. Take it from a mom who does not like or approve of video games in general, this one is great for the family. I am so pleased we got it. Plus, its just difficult enough to tax my 7 year old BUT he is able to win with perseverance. 5 stars for sure and I hope they come out with another one soon. Thank you Nintendo!
Very fun game! Perfect for the Wii!

This game is perfect for the Nintendo Wii, because it shows off how much fun the groundbreaking Wii remote can be! You have to twist & shake & turn & bend the remote in all sorts of fun ways in order to play this game.
In fact, I feel that this game should be the very first game that all new Nintendo Wii owners should add to their collection. I actually feel that Nintendo should have included this game for free with the Wii instead of the built-in sports package -- it's more fun than the Wii Sports collection.
Fun for kids of all ages, WarioWare Smooth Moves is actually the PERFECT PARTY GAME! This is probably the most fun Wii game you could whip out for a group of drunk or party-minded adults... as well as the most fun game you could whip out for your 6-year-old kid as well! My adult friends are all hooked on this game, and so are their young kids as well! How many games can you honestly say entice both kids & adults? This is one of them. WarioWare Smooth Moves is fun & frantically paced.
There is really no storyline at all, although they do try to squeeze in some ill-placed plot elements which simply don't make any sense at all. Luckily, you can skip through the weird & annoying storylines which add absolutely nothing to this game, and skip straight to the important part: the hundreds of very short, 3-second long MICROGAMES!
Yes, that's right -- MICROGAMES! You don't even have any time to think about the game you just finished, because you're already halfway through the next game and you only have 3 seconds to win each game! THREE SECONDS to win a game! At first, you don't even think your brain can handle information coming at you that quickly, and then as you continue to play the game & get better at it, you actually start speeding up your thinking so much that you actually feel like time is moving in slow motion during those 3 seconds.
Some of the microgames include: save the woman from falling off the skyscraper; shake the flies off the banana; spin the pizza; deflect the balls that are flying at you; reunite the lovers on a desert island; find the missing kid in the dark; close the grocery store for the night; swat the fly; don't fall off the beachball; drink the glass of water; turn off the alarm clock.
The games get more furious & more fast-paced as you play, and it just keeps building up to explosive fun & laughter amongst you & your friends.
If you are a Wii owner and want to add a fun & unique game to your collection, absolutely add WarioWare Smooth Moves to your collection. At the time of this writing, this is currently my favorite party game in my entire Wii collection.

WHAT HAPPENS IS: WARIO HAS COME UPON AN ANCIENT TOOL WHICH EVERYONE IN DIAMOND CITY WANTS. AT SOME POINTS THE GAME CAN BECOME QUITE CHALLENGING. IF YOU WANT PRATICE JUST DO THE MICROGAMES AGAIN AND AGAIN. A GOOD GAME FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
WarioWare Smooth Moves, skip it altogether, or prepare to be disappointed, I'd give it zeros stars if I could

I have no idea who this game is designed for or why it some people are giving it good reviews. If I had purchased this game instead of renting it, I would have immediately been looking for a buyer. Like other reviewers have pointed out, the minigames are extremely simple and pointless. Shake the remote like a salt shaker, wow, you're on to the next game. Flip an imaginary pancake. Wow, next game. Point it like a flashlight...wow... Got it? Don't get it!
If you compare this game to Rayman Raving Rabids, Excite Truck, Zelda Twilight or Tony Hawk Downhill you will see a huge difference in level of design, imagination, ingenuity, graphics, forethought, programming, etc. The only thing this game has going for it is hype and a name people recognize.
Best use of the Wii remote so far

This game is the most creative (and most bizarre) use of the Wii system so far. It requires an absolute lack of shame, since you'll be doing some pretty bizarre things, and a wacky sense of humor.
The only real gripe I have for the game is that its multi-player aspect is a weak. The majority of the games are all "knock out" games. So if your friend makes one mistake, the game is over for him. It makes for extremely short contests unless you have a ton of people playing. Further, it only uses one remote, so you're frantically passing a remote back and forth (which is a pain given the strap).
Fun... for a little while

This game is great if you plan on playing with a group of people. The multiplayer only has 6 different levels, and two of those you can only play with two people. It gets repeative and boring pretty quickly and seems like a group of people can play Wii Sports and have more fun. The single player is fun for a few minutes as well, but as like the multiplayer it too gets extremely boring and repeative pretty quickly. However to play the multiplayer you have to first beat the single player potion of the game.
This game is best suited for young children or people looking for a quick party game to entertain guest. It gets repeative and old quickly and it's not a game you will run back to replay anytime soon.

This game is waaaay overrated. It is fun for about 2 mins. Stupid short mini games over and over again. I can see the appeal for little kids, but anyone over the age of 15......dont waste your time or money on this.
