An Excellent Game

I would have to say that I extreamly enjoyed this game. My boyfriend gave me an N64 for my birthday last year (my poor little sega genesis died :o( and I was trying to get used to the new controler and such, well he first put me on 007 the James Bond game... Lets just say that was a mess. But then he bought me Yoshi's story and it was incredibly cute, colorful, and offered me a fun chance to get to know my system. I love games like this just because I think that they appeal to younger kids as well as older. It wasn't as challenging as some other games, but I wouldn't trade it in, it's really a great buy. I love it!

Perfect for young and old gamers alike!

This game is aimed towards a younger audience. That much is a given. What you probably don't know however is that older people such as myself love this game! Yoshis story succeeded in bringing the world an original fun game with amazing graphics. Yes you do eat your enemies, but hey if they're tasty..........anyway yea. Get this game for your own good and find out for yourself how much fun it is! You wont regret it!

Better for young kids

I was a huge fan of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, so I couldn't wait to play this game when it first came out for the Nintendo 64. It wasn't anything like Yoshi's Island in any way. You pass the levels by eating fruit. I think Yoshi's Story is the easiest video game I've ever played. My little brother and sister liked it though. It's sort of fun and it has great graphics, but it's a lot better for younger kids.

Yoshie's Story !!!!

In this game you have 7 lifes, and each life is a different color. You go through levels, story pages, and you try and defeat the level. If you use a life then you dont get that life back until the next storypage. Eventually you come to the last level and you have to defeat the master of the game to beat the game. Overall this game is SOOO much fun and you get to really test your skills.

Good Game, needs work

The game has great graphics. The funny sounds are good too. This game is only fun for little kids. The game is good for a laugh once in a while, but this game becomes boring fast. The plot is quite (no offense to the creators) well...kinda lousy. I got it a few months after it came out and have only played it twice since then.

That's IT! There are too many crooked comments about this king of Yoshi games. Unlike many people, I say this game is the best one. The heroes, villains and other characteristics are too cool. Remember Super Mario World? Back in those days when that was the major talk, we didn't care about how long it was or how good the graphics were or how difficult it was! It was the game play that mattered! Those of you who nag about this game, you should be ashamed!

Colorful

Yoshi's Story is a bright and cheerful game.
This is more for the lil kids,
However I found it quite fun.
The music isn't horrible as many reviewers suggested.
It's just the kind of music that grows on you.
The game itself is fairly long, and the levels are
somewhat unique.

Hurray! Yoshi!

I rented this game and loved it. I missed all the side-scrolling mario games from the old Nintendos, but there aren't many for 64. This one was what I was looking for, but way too easy. It only took me a few hours to beat the whole game. I don't remember if I had it on "easy" or if there were settings or not, but it was easy. I also liked how I could switch the text over to Japanese.

This game is a lot of fun. I have been playing Nintendo since I was a kid when it first came out and this one is equally enjoyable as the classics. I am not one of those to analyze graphics, ect. I just try to sit down and have fun and this game satisfies that. It was a 1,000,000 seller so that should tell you, too what a fun game it is!
