If you are a fan of racing games, then Beetle Adventure Racing is for you. With it's addictive gameplay and fun multiplayer, Beetle Adventure Racing is the way to go. There are plenty of shortcuts to take to speed ahead of you opponent. Make sure you have a memory card for this game so you can save your hard work.
Once you beat a difficulty level in champianship mode, you will get more cars. Ones that go way faster and have better handling and acceleration.
Beetle Adventure Racing is a must have.

This is definetly the best racing game on the N64.It is a mix of Goldeneye(Beetle Battle) And maybe San Francisco Rush. The grphics match up with Gran Turismo for the Playstation. You have to admit, racing 7 other computer players, all driving beautifully colored beetles, it pure fun. The tracks are beautiful, and on "Inferno Isle," when you are in the jungle part, a Tyrannosauros Rex jerks its head out of the trees and roars at you. The first time it happens, some people fall down, because it comes totally unexpected. You even get a beetle that changes color as you race. If you totall beat the game, you get a police beetle, that can make other cars pull over. There is even a cheat menu. Pros:great graphics, gameplay, and cars.Huge world to race in, will take a while to get everything. CONS:Final tracks can be very hard to beat. You have to race a lot to get all the cars. Needs memory card. If you liked Goldeneye, San Francisco Rush, and Star Wars:Episode 1 Racer, then you'll love this game. I have 8 words: STOP READING NOW AND GO GET THIS GAME!
Perfect blend of cartoon and realism racers

Beetle Adventure Racing is a superb game. The gameplay is easy to get used to, and the tracks really transcend the normal idea of a racing track and move more towards being a world. While there are only 6 tracks, the depth of them with all the shortcuts and breakables really eliminate boredom factors.
In addition to that great single player mode, multiplayer mode is a lot of fun too. While blowing up friends a la MarioKart's battle mode is fun, Beetle Adventure Racing really adds a brilliant feature by adding small beetle icons that appear in the arena in pre-determined places. Only one beetle icon is in the arena at any given time, and when it's picked up, a new one appears. The cool part is that the goal is to pick up 6 different colored beetle icons and the beetle changes color every few seconds. This allows for some real strategy in terms of waiting for the beetle to turn to a color you need while balancing it with fending off your opponent from getting the icon.
There are a few drawbacks to this game, however. My primary beef is with the battle mode arenas. In the single player game there are 100 bonus points on each track and if you collect them all, you get a new multi-player track. Unfortunately, this is not a trivial task, and can get rather tedious. In addition, most of the multi-player tracks I've unlocked are pretty simplistic. One multiplayer track, Stadium, is very good, but it would have been nice to see the others live up to the elaborate landscape that this track and the single-player tracks display.
However, this is a minor drawback, as the single player game is still loads of fun, and the multiplayer game is certainly better than most.
Great fun!

This game is a blast. If you race someone who is at the same level as you, then you really have a challenge. You can race alone with the machine and it is alot of fun.It has great graphics and the scenery is beautiful. It has short cuts and different weather conditions and tracks. Place 3rd or better and move to the next track, eventually you will get to do space trucking and earn cars as you win races. Our family really enjoys it. We range from 8 years old to 49! This game is ageless.

This is a really fun game! Except it only has 6 different race tracks. Although each race track is absolutely huge and heaps of fun, it is disappointing that their is only 6. Other racing games have more tracks (Mario Kart, Top Gear) but all of Beetle Adverture Racing's tracks are massive and have many massive shortcuts which will take time to find. The multiplayer section is heaps of fun, I found definately in the top 10 multi-player games on N64! I recommend you hire this game before you buy it. Some will love it, others will hate it!
This game is the BEST game made for the N64!

This is such a cool game! The tracks are way cool and the beetles are so awsome! But the graphics make it look like you are actually in the game. At one point, when you pass someone, you actually turn around to look at it. 3 words, BUY THIS GAME!

When I purchased this game I didn't know what to expect. A friend had recommended the game to me and I took his word on it. When I played the game for the first time, I was amazed! This game is a step ahead of all other racing games and it has kept me entertained for hundreds of hours and counting. Reasons for you to get this game:
1. Exciting course themes- Fly through cources with UFO crashes, T-Rex attacks, haunted houses, abandoned castles, and much, much more!
2. Length of courses- Don't play this game expecting to finish a race in 5 minutes. These courses are 3 laps each and will take over 8 minutes to finish the race.
3. Secret shortcuts- I had this game for 3 months and I was still discovering new shortcuts. These are hidden behind bushes, glass, up jumps, and hidden in tiny gaps. These entertaining shortcuts can take minutes off your race time- if you can find them...
4. The Beetles themselves- You start with 3 cars but as you complete championships you can earn faster cars with designs like racing stripes, lightling bolts, and flowers. The final championships promise prizes such as the alien car and the best car in the game- the police car Beetle. For amusement, beep the horns on these cool VWs.
5. Amusing items- When playing in championship mode, crash through colored boxes for points, turbos, and, if you can find the flower boxes, cheat options. The point boxes can earn you continues and bonuses.
6. Multiplayer action- Break out your other controllers and gather your friends for the muliplayer options. Compare your skills in a simple race or, for the ultimate in multiplayer entertainment- the Beetle Battle. The object of this game is to collect all of the different-colored ladybug boxes. Fans of Mario Cart will love items like rockets, armor, and mines to help you blast your buddies. You can switch to one of the other multiple courses available when tired of one.
I can only hint at the immense entertainment this will give you. To experience it for yourself, you need to get this game. Gamers of all ages will love this zany game. Nobody can resist the fun that this game offers. Buy it yourself to buy hours of wild gaming excitement.

This is a racing game for anyone, and it features only the new version of the best selling car of all time, the Volkswagen Beetle. It is a great game, with different difficulty levels in the championships, challenging opponents, and progressively harder courses. This is also a great game for multiplayer, with the very original and fun "beetle battle"
Courses:
Coventry Cove: A simple course for beginners, not very hard, and many interesting shortcuts
Mount Mayhem: Significantly harder than Coventry Cove, this course takes you on a trip through a decked-out mountain, with many surprises and shortcuts and even a ski jump that you can take your car off of.
Inferno Isle: Self Explanitory. It's a course taking place on an island that is competing with a volcano, and there is also a spot where you can dive into the volcano (not into the lava, of course, but into the volcano for that matter)
Sunset Sands: Egyptian themed course, running through ruins. Unlike the other courses, this one has shortcuts that make a very significant difference in your position.
Metro Madness: also Self-Explanitory. A drive through the city streets at top speed, and an interesting shortcut that literally lets you drive through a hotel.
Wicked Woods: A "scary" drive through a Sleepy Hollow style setting. Rightfully, the hardest course in the game.
Altogether, I think that this is a game for anyone into the Volkswagen Beetle, racing games, or multiplayer. It combines the best interests of all elements of the racing game.
