Great N64 baseball game.

I bought this game just recently and I was instantly stunned at how great the graphics looked for an N64 game. Here's my review:

Graphics: 9/10. For an N64 game, this is some of the best on the system. Sure it was a late N64 game, hell, the PS2 was already out, but this is a great game with well done character animations and plesent stadiums.

Sound: 8/10. It works. The commentary isn't bad, the overall sound is decent quality, but there is nothing that really stands out in this game.

Control: 8.5/10. Great and unique batting/pitching. You line up the batting icon with the pitchers icon to hit; and i wish more games nowadays would have a way of hitting like this.

Fun: 7.5/10. This is a great N64 sports game, the thing is, it's not really too fun unless you have a buddy to play with. The game goes pretty slowly, and there are times when you pitch that the pitch will just rapidly turn towards or away from the batter with no explanation. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour for just one game for me and someone else; on new generation games like the PS2, it takes 20 minutes to 30 minutes. It's still a decent game, but you really can't get a lot of runs in a game unless you are playing against a rookie. This is still a good game; especially with the fact I bought this game for only $1.99. Definitely buy it if you can find it for a price like that. If you do plan on playing a season on this game, you will need a fresh standard N64 memory card, because it takes up all the space.

7.8/10.

Great, but............................................

dear readers. My mother bou8ght me this game used because itvwas sold out. it was great so i asked for it because i played it by my neighbor, that was until i found out the home run trick which made the game dummer. If you press B and put the edge of the yellow on the ball and hit the ball while holding L (you dont always have to)it will surely be a home run.Still this game is great but like i said by All star baseball on color,it doesnt save u need a game pack which costs you an extra 10$.But if you have a game pack buy this game it rocks but dont do the home run trick because then it gets dum

All-Star Baseball 2001 is over all a preety good game. It has its fair share of glitches too. About 1/3 to 1/2 way through the season the stats skyrocket to impossible numbers. For example 169 home runs. Other than that this is a fun game!

cool

Although this game has decent graphics, the overall playability is a little less than average. To make this game more realistic, the manufactuers have to realize what baseball is about. If you are looking for a fun game buy this. Otherwise wait for a different game.

Cool game.

I don't buy many games so it has to be good fo me to get it. Something I can play for hours. This game is. It has all needed features. It's easy to creat players, trade, and all that stuff. After playing the game about three times, you'll know the controls by heart(at least I did). Good game. Good graphics. Good programmers. Good company. If you like baseball and want a game, get this. It even has homerun durby and an all-star game, and you can creat your own.

This game rocks, this game rocks, this game totally rocks!

This is the best game ever. The graphics are great as well as the sound. You can trade, create, and draft players from any team. Choose from season mode, single game, home run derby, or playoffs....

the best baseball game ever!!

Best baseball game i have ever played, but it would be nice if they had some sort of franchise mode. It gets a bit boring after a while cause you have the same exact team for a whole season, and it would be cool to be able to trade for players with potential and stuff. I reccommend it, but let me just say it gets boring after a while! Really great while it lasts though!
