This is the best baseball game that I have ever played! When I first got All-Star Baseball '99. I thought that no other game would come close to it! Then cam All-Star Baseball 2000 which was the greatest baseball game ever at that time. I thought that Acclaim could not do anything better because of the awesome graphics from 2000 graphics. But now, there is the greatest baseball videogame (at this time), All-Star Baseball 2001! I can't wait untill 2002!

All-Star baseball 2001 is an overall good game. For those of you die-hard baseball fans like me, this game will satisfy you. Although it it has some glitches,it is the best baseball game. Some of the glitches are that you can run through players, sometimes your opponent will slide and your player willn't put the tag down, and some calles that are truly out are called safe. The views of this game are pretty good. Batting practice is a major plus, especially if you are a beginner. I have bought this game for the past three years and one of the major things that you will find, is that after you catch on to the batting, you will beat teams real badly. The pitching isn't totally realistic but the game is real fun. If you have never played this game or if you have, you will like it.

Better than 2000!

This game has incredible graphics, first of all, and second of all, it is the best baseball game that is available! The only low sides to the game is the lack of clear sound, but who needs jabbering announcers? The game is here! You can also use a Cooperstown Legends team which is packed with Hall of Famers like Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, and Nolan Ryan! All the rosters are current, even the Reds have Griffey, (Thank God!)You won't get bored with this overall incredible baseball game, buy it now!

Pretty good, but it could be better.

I have to admit, as baseball games go this one is pretty slick. I like the straightforward controls, and the game options that can make it easier or harder depending on your skill level. I like the roster transactions and how you are not allowed to exceed 25 active players. The "Home Run Derby" option is fun if you are not into playing a full season, and even playing a one game exhibition is enjoyable. I was disappointed in the difficulty I had in initiating a double switch during a game, and I don't like the fact that every pitcher has an eight-pitch arsenal. I realize that this is a game and that the programmers can't program every big league pitchers pitch selection, but eight pitches? I mean not every MLB pitchers throws a Knuckle ball and a Screw ball. I would also like to see a starting pitcher unavailable to pitch for at least four days (season mode only) after a six inning start. I hate it when the computer brings in a starter in the middle of a game, and then marches him right back out the next day. Maybe it seems like I'm nitpicking, but if they claim to have a "realistic" game then lets make it realistic. I have seen older Nintendo games that have had these features. I was a bit disappointed that 2001 didn't have tons more options than the previous 2000 version. Overall, I have been very pleased with "All-Star 2001" and I will probably keep playing until they come out with 2002. If you're looking for a fun baseball game for N64 then this is it. If you're looking for something totally realistic, keep waiting.

Wonderful game!

Best baseball game i have ever played, but it would be nice if they had some sort of franchise mode. It gets a bit boring after a while cause you have the same exact team for a whole season, and it would be cool to be able to trade for players with potential and stuff. I reccommend it, but let me just say it gets boring after a while! Really great while it lasts though!

The game I've been waiting for

This is the best game ever. The graphics are great as well as the sound. You can trade, create, and draft players from any team. Choose from season mode, single game, home run derby, or playoffs....

This game rocks, this game rocks, this game totally rocks!

This is a great game with incredable graphics and I recomend this game for anyone who likes baseball. All Star Baseball blows all other baseball games out of the water with its life like action, player movement, and sound. This truly is a great game.

Great!

Almost the same as ASB 2000, but that was such a great game! I accidentally lost my copy of that game, and was going to buy another one when I saw ASB 2001! I knew I had to get it. I was right! I recommend this game to any hardcore N64 or baseball fans out there!
