This game is not the best. i'm glad it's out. I just ordered one. It has lots of different classes of ships, and lots of warping your ships around. Also there is a really cool Borg campaign. Besides that everything suxs.
Way to many bugs. . .

I was exited about the game, but could not get it to run long enough to enjoy it.
Activision was unwilling to assist in troubleshooting, but Best Buy was nice enough to take the bug ridden game back.
To bad because it started out good till it kept crashing.

This game is full of bugs, even after the latest patch. Gameplay is simply ruined by all of progamming flaws, such as lock-ups. Even some game objectives are dead ends. Some missions on this game are unconquerable thanks to the poor programming. [its not worth the price that i paid and is not worth considerably less]
how the mighty have fallen...short.

the first Elite Force was ground breaking and a good FPS for its time (2000 a.d.) but this game just stinks. it fell short of every expactation i had. first off the game is too short. only 10-11 missions, i finished in 2 days. second, this game IS NOT Star Trek, its just another monster fighting FPS...soooooo dissapointing. i wanna fight Borg, Romulans, cardassians and other Alpha quadrent foes...not monsters...if i wanted monsters id pick up Doom. the one thing that was okay in the game were the weapon choices and the fact it takes place in the alpha quadrent on the Enterprise. dont waste your money like i did, im 50$ out.
Could have been a fantastic game

I have only a few words to say. Excellent try, but falls short in three categories: #1 Missions needs to be patched, or edited for better playability, especially mission c-e5m2: #2 The ships are not powerful enough, for example I never heard of Picard's Enterprise, running out of torpedoes of any kind, especially the more powerful and accurate quantum torpedoes, that is desparately needed, in the mission, pertaining to the alioth system..c-e5m2, with many cardassians, and 8 planets to deal with. Last ..#3 Most important.....The interface modes, should have been a combination of klingon acadamy, and dominion wars. My, personal perference, the klingon acadamy mode, whereby you could use a joystick to maneuver your ship, and the dominion wars mode, whereas you can target any celestial object, inorder to warp out of harms way, inorder to make some repairs. The problem is, and you trek gamers know this as well as I do, in order to finish a mission you have to follow program scripts. These marks goes against the grain, when compared to the televised trek series. If these attributes could be patched, or added in some way to bridge commander, then we will have a fantastic star trek, one of a kind game to enjoy for years, THANK YOU!

For starters, for those of you who want to try, this game does not install on Intel Celeron processors. Secondly, this game is fun for about two hours and then becomes tedious and boring. If the Taldren/Activison alliance wanted to put out a "good" game, then they should have spent more time beta testing ( gee, other software companies do it so why shouldn't they ).

A great game with more features than I was expecting. You don't have to play the pirates, you can join any other original empires in the game. There are dozens (hundreds?) of ships available so the game never gets dull - there is always something new to try.
