Greatest Kirby Game Ever!

This game is not only addicting like any Kirby game, but this game takes MUCH longer to play. This is probably the best one because of the depthness of the game. Nintendo and HAL Labs did a GREAT job on creating everything that no one can notice so well. Not only that, but there are more options of what to do then most. Other than the fact that this game is missing story all together (not that the story of ANY Kirby is that great other than Canvas Curse), its got all the Kirby everyone wants! It IS fast paced, but even little ones and older ones can enjoy it once they get past that. It is almost difficult to beat. The checklist of random things to do is pretty hard to totally check off. Some are trying to get a best time on racing, others are just having you destroy one machine while on another machine. The graphics are amazing for a GCN game. Enough said on that.
One thing that puzzles me is the genre of this game. It's a racing game. Sure, but that's hardly ANYTHING!! It's more of the genre of, well, Kirby! No other way to explain it! There is a mode on this game that gives the harder core gamers what they want. City Trial. This requires you to-within in the time limit-get as many power ups as you can before the stadium event to come afterwords. This is random. Could be anything from a race, to an all out battle with your opponents!
This is a game that should be on every gamers shelf. The greatness of Kirby, plus something else that has never been there before (I don't know what) makes this the GREATEST Kirby game that has been created to date!

this game is very fun! When I first played it I thought it would be dumb but its a really cool game!!! It is hard to get use to the controls but after you play a while you will get use to them. If I was trying to get someone to try a game with Kirby in it I would tell them about this one.

I dont exactly like the airide part of this game, but I really enjoy the city trial part where you have a time limit and have to collect powerups in minigames. It is quite an addictive game, butthey could have had more in it. The graphics are abstract almost like Thw legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and the controls are really easy, all you use is A and the control stick. This is a really fun game for people who like racing games.
Add this game to your collection...but only if you have friends

We get another game from the makers of the best game ever, Super Smash Bros. Melee. There are three modes to Kirby Air Ride: Air Ride(a classic race), Top Ride(a top-down race that's kind of like a minigame), and City Trial(by far the best of the three). City Trial is all about getting powerups for your star in a city until time runs out, then you play a minigame to determine who wins the game. You can also play the city map and minigames seperately. You'll find yourself playing this one mode over and over and over... Anyway, you should this game if you have a Gamecube. It's cheap, and it's fun.

Kirby Air ride. This game is awesome!! But the only thing bad about it is there is only 1 place to be at in free mode. There should be 2 or maybe 4 to pick that place to go to it then just one. But, its still the best game I know of so if you like Kirby than get this game. Flying is hard unless you get the Purple Falcon it flies high in the sky. Or when you beat part of the game then play as the Dragon it's the best flying machine IN THE GAME!!
Pretty Good...

This is a pretty fun game. All of the modes load quickly and have pretty good graphics. In City Trial free run, there are literally an endless amount of random games that you can come up with. This is definatly a better multi- than single player game. My only complaint is that there are only nine racetracks to choose from in Air Ride mode. Other than this, I can only say that a sequel would be a perfect use of the Wii-mote
Worth the money.............but doesn't catch my eye

Kirby air ride hmmmmm. Well The game itself is pretty hard to explain but I can manage it. First off the graphics. Kirby always has been a very colorful well... um how should I say this uh puffball. And his series has been also pretty colorful. Well Nintendo did a good job of showcasing this and the graphics are pretty smooth so I'll give this one to the game graphics- 7/10. Now the gameplay is decent depending on what you like. Air ride is for people who like regular 3-d racing, top ride is for 2-d old school gamers, and city trial is for people who like to collect items and unlockables. The only reason kirby airride lost 2 stars is because the gameplay can get boring after a while , gameplay- 7/10. But believe me I've written worse reviews.
Don't play it alone...

Like another game I reviewed recently (SUPER SMASH BROS.MELEE) this is mildly entertaining on single player but is twice as much fun on multiplayer. But unlike MELEE, the graphics here are fairly bland. There are three different ''modes'' to choose from, ''City Trial'', ''Top Ride'', and ''Airide'', all of which are pretty much the same. There are ''mini games'' after you finish each of these courses, such as ''Beat King Deedde''. Like I said in my title, don't play this one alone.
Fun for a While, but Don't Overplay it.

I recently bought this game a few days ago and I think it was worth how much I paid for it ($20).
I started off watching the tutorial videos. They explain the game fairly well.
After that, I immediately started playing on Air Ride mode (normal racing mode, sorta like Mario Kart and F-Zero mixed together). I played a few races with my two older sisters. On my monitor, it was kinda smooshed and I think my sisters got the wrong impression, but they said it was too easy and left. They aren't really gamers and just play games whenever I get a new one so don't assume it's a bad game.
I kept racing a while, and realised it was sort of limited. The few levels were nice and the music was cool too, but there wasn't much variety of levels. The unlockable level is short and simple too. There is a good variety of vehicles however (And I still haven't unlocked them all considering how many that I saw in City Trial).
I decided to play Top Ride (A mini-racing game) as well. One of my sisters was waiting for something and decided to try again. She played one round and said bluntly that it was horrible (in different words). I then again played by myself and had some fun. This mode was a bit short, but I still play it sometimes for fun.
Now of course, City Trial. This mode was able to keep my sister playing for a bit longer. We had fun looking at all the vehicles and all of the [somewhat bland] sights. Its a fairly big area that contains lots of stuff, but it gets a little tedious going in the same area a bunch of times. Unfortunately, all of the powerups that supposedly boost your vehicle don't make too much of a difference, except in numbers (people that like comparing high-scores and numbers would notice the difference better than me). The different random events and stadium events (which are what you are mainly powering up for) are nice though.
My sister's opinion? "The only good part about the game."
Later, racing my little brother on Air Ride mode he had to go use the restroom. He was going to stop playing afterwards, but decided to leave the game running while he was away. The bad part is, his character was keeping up pretty well and even almost beat me while I was actually trying to win. I can see why a lot of people say that the game plays for you.
Overall, the game is fun if you are a light/medium gamer, with a bunch of goals to reach, but if you just play occasionally, you will get bored fast. I would recommend not getting it if it costs more than $20. It is definitely worth renting if you don't want to buy it.
Fun but a little too easy to play

Like the title says I enjoyed playing the game but I found it just a little too easy to play.
