This game is a must buy for anyone with a Gamecube. I personnally am not especially into Kirby, I just got it as a Christmas gift. And when I put it into my Gamecube, I was imeadiatly addicted to it. It has cutting edge graphics, exciting levels, and all out fun while playing. My favorite thing to do is the city trial. And also setting it after that to Destruction Derby. As you may or may not know, this is the same team that brought us Super Smash Bros. Meleee, another GC must have. So buy this game, you won't be disapointed.

Buy it or else!!!!!!!!

There are no true flaws in this game. The one button controls make it very simple to learn how to play and the great amount of unlockable stars(racing carts)make the game play more intense. The three modes, air ride,a battle mode (which I have forgotten the name of),and city trial, are all exciting. In air ride mode up to four players, or a lone racer battling the CPUs, can engage in fast and furious racing action! Players can choose from courses like Checker Knights,Celestial Valley,Lava Flows,Machine Passage and many others. In the battle mode players fight using special items that are spread across the extra small course to help them win 1st place. City Trial mode is a large town area where players can ride fast rails, high ferriswheels,and volcanoes where they fight each other or team up to find the parts of the dragoon and hydra. If you wish to get away from classic race and blow-up games, then Kirby Air Ride is your cup of tea.

I put simply love this game. Nice graphics, great gameplay, and plently of unlockable goodies. To all those people out there, im going to teach you how to unlock the best air ride machine in the game!(in my opinion at least) Now first of all, its one of the Ledgendary air ride machines, so it wont be any easy feat.

1.Hydra part X:Go to city trial mode and set the time to 7 minutes, as you will need some time to do this. When in the city, destroy each and every grey structure near that thing with all those layers and boosts up. Best star to use would be bulk star for this task. Difficulty:***/*****

2.Hydra part Y: You must (in total) defeat opponents 150 times in any destruction derby game. It is cumulative, so just play destruction derby alot, and if you have a friend have him use compact star and you should use shadow star. make sure he constantly charges boost in place so that way you can hit him.

3.Hydra part Z:Defeat 1500 enimies in kirby melee. its cumulative, like the top one. Not too tough. Just get a few friends and whoop out the shadow star. difficulty **/*****

Well there ya have it! get all 3 and you can use hydra in free run mode in city trial! *note* you can get these parts in any order.

Nintendo dominates racing with first F-Zero GX now this.

Kirby Air Ride is probably the best racing game there is.The only other racing game that even compares to it is F-Zero GX. The graphics rock and the music is so good I am trying to memorize the tunes. The best part is that there is only one button for the controls. At first I thought this would be annoying, but with just one button even the least skilled gamers can start dominating the competition. The game has 3 modes to play: Air Ride, Top Ride and City Trial. Each with over a hundred things to do. In Air Ride mode you race in awesome courses and unlock cool stars.

Here is a list of them:

Warp Star: first avalible star. Well balanced. Not bad or great at anything.

Shadow Star: strong and powerful. Fairly high top speed and 2nd best (out of all the standard stars) at gliding.

Turbo Star: fast and cool. Great to use once you have mastered its control system.

Winged Star: as you can guess,it can fly really good. Some what poor turning though.

Slick Star: well....slick. Hard to turn with.

Formula Star: highest top speed! Fast on ground but not in air.

Rocket Star: normally slow but has the best boost.

Swerve Star: can only turn when charging. However when fully charged, zoooooooooooom!

Jet Star: just try making this think hit one of the jumps along a course. Otherwise, it has a slow top speed.

Wagon Star: whatever the right word to describe this vehicle is, it isn't star.Well balanced but can't boost. Poor gliding.

Bulk Star: it looks as if it came out of the garbage. Need to charge up before using. High top speed and good defence.

Yup, that is a lot of stars. Plus if that wasn't enough,you can also unlock the 3 Air Ride Motor bikes.And if that was still not enough to satisfy your thirst you can also unlock Meta Knight, King DeDeDe and a brown Kirby.If you are really good at unlocking stars you can unlock the 2 legendary stars Dragoon and Hydra.But just what are legendary stars? Well you will just have to play and find out. When you are tired of Air Ride mode you can try Top Ride mode which is classic 2D racing from a bird's eye view. Top Ride Mode has only two stars to choose from, but you will be to busy picking up power-ups and blasting opponents to notice what star you chose. In City Trial you roam around a city building up a powerful star. At the end of the time limit a random minigame will be chosen. Then all the players compete in that game. City Trial is a good way to try out different stars. There are also some stars you can only play with in City Trial mode like the Flight Warpstar and the Compact Star. Did I mention on top of all this Kirby can use copy abilities to help him in races(Duh). My favorite so far is Wheel Kirby.Beware though, this game has no story line. Overall if your looking for a good multiy player racing game look no farther than Kirby Air Ride. If you want a racing game with a story line get F-Zero.

A total Blitz, as one may call it!

This game ROCKS!
Fast gameplay caused me to go a bit slow on my Sonic Games, but I'm tellin' you, this game RULES! ^^

Many Air Ride machines that fit your groove, and many awesome stages as well. My personal favorite, and current addiction, is the City Trial. But enough about that...

This game includes at LEAST 10 machines, and unlockable characters, colors of Kirbys and more. ((...)

kirby air ride is a pathetic atempt to earn an extra buck! the graphics are ok but the races are waaaaaaaay to easy. stay away from this game or be the victum of KIRBY AIR-IDIS!!! thats the worst ripoff disease ever to hit videogames!!! please heed my warning gamers!!!!!!

There is a reason this game gets bad reviews. Buyer Beware. Make sure you read credited reviews, they all say game is bad.
