Saddam was too nice

In this game, Saddam never used biological or chemical warfare on his own people. He never shot wild SCUD missiles at neighboring countries. He never kidnapped families of dignitaries to try and end embargoes. He was never seen contributing money and equipment to al-Queda. The enslavement of women was not portrayed in the game.
The portrayal of Saddam was just too kind to be realistic...

Not a bad game at all, but with SOCOM already out, this game has no chance. SOCOM implements the headset well, making it effortless to command teammates, while you have to do it manually here. The graphics are done well in both, but the sound is slightly better in SOCOM. This is not a bad game, but SOCOM is a better buy without a doubt.

Alot of war games try to make it on console systems, but somehow, they lack the fine-tuning needed to be a great game. But conflict desert storm breaks the mold when it comes to having a good war game for a console system. First of all, the experience system, which allows you to advance in rank and earn medals is a big plus for someone who likes the military (like myself). The graphics are very good, and the arsenal of weapons will make you happy as well. You also get to command you squad of Delta Force soldiers who will do anything you say. All in all, this game is very good, and i would recommend it to anyone who likes action games and appreciates the military.

This is THE funnest war game I have ever played. It has pretty good graphics but they could be better. It has pretty challenging missions that take you a little while to complete and their really fun. Another good point is the fact where you can play your own soundtrack during the game, so while your blowin the Iraqi's heads off you can jam on to LinkinPark! But it does have few bad points, the controls are a little confusing and it takes a while to get used to it. But besides that it is so cool!!
conflict on the system,big time!

OK i might be the only one here but I really do think this game sucks Iv tried to deny it for so long but I cant hold it in any longer!#1 This is probably the worst game I have ever played graphicly(belive me Iv played alot of those). Its like "why does everyone look the same?".Although I must say there is a pretty nice array of weapons but they feel so repetetive, I think one weapon in the entire game is silenced! Also I think this game could be pretty good if your squdmates werent such idiots, they dont even follow your commands!but 2 player is good.

Just pre-ordered this today and am anxiously awaiting it's release. The screen-shots look great and I love the idea of having friendly shooters(us forces) going into battle like certain battle sequences in halo. Should be a great game.
****4 stars because i've only played the computer demo and don't know exactly how it's transition to x-box will be****

This game is alright...I don't necessarily like 3rd person shooters, but some must or they wouldn't make them. After playing Ghost Recon and Halo, I thought the graphics [were unacceptable].
That was really a big thing for me and a big let down. I waited and waited to find one on sale and I finally did, but I should have waited a little longer. The game is about the same as most other shooters except for (you guessed it) the graphics. I was just so disappointed in them it made it hard to get past that.
... If you like shooters then add this one, but do it cheaply. 3 to 3.5 rating just because of the graphics.
Don't bother even renting it

If you are looking for this type of game (first person shooter, having alliance accompanying you), buy/rent either Medal of Honor or Ghost Reacon. This game's control is a bit sensitive and especially with sniper rifle, pin-pointing is not possible without constantly adjusting your control, because it just does not stay in one place. It is not as bad as Time Splitter 2 as far as control is concerned. But still, I quit playing after 30 minutes... gave me a headache!. Oh, btw, one time me and several other guys (like 7 others with 2 x-box) trying to play Time Splitter 2 on battle mode and we quit after 10 minutes! It just didn't meet our expectation!
I don't want to criticize other reviewers, but I don't think those who gave 5 stars had played other more fun x-box games prior to this game. If this is the game you play before those two games I mentioned above, you may think it's great. But since I played others already prior to playing this game, I was not impressed with it at all. I regret renting it. I want my money back!

This game really got trashed by Xbox magazine who said that the controls sucked and there was a problematic frame rate. The controls are hard to master but you get used to them and I dont notice anythung about the frame rate. In training mode, you can zoom in on your instructor's face while he is talking but his lips dont move. It is pretty funny. This game is easy at first but gets hard by the third level. There are 15 levels. A hint: To defeat tanks with no rockets left you have to have two smoke greanades and a C4 explosive. Throw a smoke grenade at the tank. This wont do any harm to it but make a smoky atmosphere so you can creep up to it, undetected. Get as close to tank as possible so its wild shots cant hit you. Plant the C4 next to the tank. If the smoke starts clearing throw another smoke grenade. Run away from the tank and detonate the explosive. Good bye tank!
Note: If the tank is moving, plant a tank mine in the road.
I find that Foley seems to die before the others but dont let him die! He is your only sniper. Dont be him because i find it hard to control the sniper rifle. In multiplayer, which is only co-operative play which is fine with me because my sister would never want to play me, one person is connors and bradley and the other is foley and jones. I usually am foley and jones but I use jones even though he has horrible guns. He is tough and is the only one who can plant C4's. Hint: To kill someone and not raise an alarm, woud them with a silent pistol, dont kill because you will need as much ammo as you can get. Then walk up to the wounded guy with a knife and finish him off. I hope you find my hints useful.

Your first clue as to how bad this game will prove is when you begin a 2 player multiplayer game and one of the players sits able to do nothing in a prison cell until you spend 15 minutes finding the prison. The graphics are horrid and the game play is lame with mindless searching in circa-1990 graphics representing a sand storm.
