Disappointed

This was the easiest and most disappointing Nancy Drew game. I have all of the others and very much enjoyed them. This, however, was not up to par with the others. I was expecting a lot more considering the location and the addition of the Hardy Boys. Didn't get my money's worth out of this one. Less to do and not as much dialogue. They could have really worked it. Talked about the Hardy Boys learning to surf, but never incorporated that into the story. Not a lot of game play hours. I never finished any game this fast.

This game was fairly simple and was fairly short. There were a lot of situations that could have been developed further, as though the story just hung on bits and pieces. Overall, however, it was fun, as all ND games are, and I think any ND fan will enjoy it--as long as you aren't expecting a huge challenge and a really long game!

Wonderful!

I loved the new technology incorporated into this fun game. The only complaint I have is that it ended to soon; I wanted it to go on forever!

Great Fun (While It Lasted)

This was one of the most enjoyable Nancy Drew games we've played in a long while. The graphics are the best ever, the voice acting, as usual, is very good (Frank Hardy excepted), and the puzzles are fun and fit nicely into the story line. It was also very cool to be able to switch between playing as Nancy or one of the boys. Very cleverly done. But for 20 bucks, you absolutely do not get your money's worth in playing time. I would suggest that Heractive either start making these games twice as long or start charging half as much if they want to maintain their fan base.

hike and snorkel in Hawaii

I am a lover of all the Nancy drew games, some more than others. This latest of the series is a fresh assignment with fresh scenery and the nice twist is meeting Joe and Frank Hardy and being able to play as them as well as Nancy. As you progress in the game and call the boys at one point your phone will turn purple and you will be on the beach and suddenly you will be Joe instead of Nancy, whenever you need to swap back, call the other person up. If there is something you must complete before doing so, you will get a voice mail. This game was lots of fun, with the mini games and the snorkeling, fishing and jewelry making for cash. But I felt the game was a little shorter than most and the Hiking and snorkeling too repetitive. But luckily not quite as bad as the swimming in Danger by Design. I felt the culprit was not a surprise this time and the ending wasn't as challenging as the past puzzles, but perhaps I am just getting to used to the games. It is still lots of fun and a worthy buy though. And you get a sneak preview of 2007's White Wolf at Icicle Creek, the next of the series, can't wait! Already got my Canadian passport and faux fur coat and boots packed! Happy Sleuthing!!!

Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave is the fifteenth game in the Nancy Drew Computer Game series. Based on #143 Mysteri of Maui, Nancy goes on a trip to Hawaii to assist a bug scientist and her findings.

(You) As Nancy Drew go to Hawaii to see and entomologist. However, upon arrival she discovers somone has trashed the camp and Kim Quigley (the entomologist) is missing! Now, it's up to you as Nancy Drew to find out where Kim QUigley went and what happened to the camp.

Some other features in this game are you can play and switch between playing as Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys at any time during the game. This is veyr fun indeed. You also get a sneak preview of the next Nancy Drew game (The White Wolf of Icicle Creek), which (if following the pattern of the release dates of the previous Nancy Drew games) should be released sometime next year around mid-July.

This is one of the shorter Nancy Drew games and an easier one. If your buying your first Nancy Drew game- I highly reccomend you start out with this one. It is not as difficult as some of the past games (Curse of Blackmoor Manor and the Secret of SHadow Ranch are VERY difficult and quite frustrating) but still has a complete feeling you get your money's worth when you complete the game.

My only criticism about the game is it's length, being longer certainly wouldn't hurt, but it was not too short. Definitly a game worth buying though!

Too short for the money......VERY disappointed!!!!!!!

I have played every Nancy Drew game that has come out, and I have never been this disappointed!! This was too short, and you didn't even know what the people had done who were arrested in the end!! The story line was good. Seems like it should have really went somewhere, but no, it didn't. The puzzles were too simple (and believe you me, I have the most trouble with puzzles). Very disappointed in HER Interactive! Don't rush it next time...it's better to wait for a great one, than to get it fast and beat it too fast.

Disappointingly Brief - but the Hardy Boys Were Fun

I admit it... I'm a 40 year old addict to the Nancy Drew games. It s a great "retro" escape from work related woes and I special ordered this game to occupy my whole weekend and distract me. To my dismay, the whole game was completed by 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. And that included a lot of extra fishing and bead stringing that was not relevant to the game progress. I loved the addition of the Hardy Boys (always had a crush on them) but that did not make up for the utter lack of puzzling puzzles. I didn't even have to web surf to a cheat to get past the ONE major task. On the whole the game was not up to the standards of the previous ones.

disappointment again for Nancy Drew fans

Her Interactive started the Nancy Drew computer game series with wonderful, complicated, and fun games such as "Treasure in the Royal Tower" and "Secret of the Scarlet Hand" and "Danger on Deception Island". Now the games are too easy, too short, and the characters completely forgetable. This game has a promising start, but there are virtually no puzzles to solve--- only repetitive tasks. The ending is one of the worst. Her Interactive needs to remember that it is the story, characters, and puzzles that will keep fans purchasing its games. Like "Danger by Design", this was a waste of my money.
