I loved the new technology incorporated into this fun game. The only complaint I have is that it ended to soon; I wanted it to go on forever!

Great Series...Quick Fun...Bad Game

I am one of the biggest fans of the Nancy Drew gaming franchise...i own and have solved every one...but this one threw me a curve...

It was boring.

At the beginning, as in most of these games, your really excited about trying to solve it and at how the mystery unfolds. The odd thing in this one is that there is no mystery really. A bunch of bugs are overpopulating...why? Ok...great. You don't even know what your looking for until the end pops out of left field and every thing is explained for you...oh yah the other thing...the end...

In most of these games the ends are really puzzling (how do i defeat this guy?) and gets your heart pumping and gets you thinking. This one? There are no bad guys. I won't give anything away for you but just trust me when i say the ending is horrible and comes way too fast (for avid fans of the franchise like myself, this ending is worse than Blackmoor Manor's).

The only thing about this game that kept me interested was switching from Frank to Nancy. That was a great new feature i thoroughly enjoyed.

One more thing i want to rant about...the puzzles...what puzzles? Every puzzle was either incredibly easy (and horribly boring) or just plain guesswork. I hate the guessing puzzles...

All in all...i give this game a 2 out of 5...i might've been more forgiving if i didn't expect so much more out of a Nancy Drew game. If your over the age of 10...i don't suggest buying this one.

Another Great Nancy Drew Game!

I just finished playing #15 in the Nancy Drew series. I was unsure at first whether to buy it, but since I got it for Christmas, it didn't matter!

I had read reviews on here that made it seem like less fun than the others, but don't listen to them, I loved this installment!

I enjoyed getting to play both Nancy and Frank/Joe Hardy! The puzzles weren't too hard, but not too easy either. I did get stuck twice and had to ask for small hints (senior level). The storyline was fun, although perhaps not as in depth as some of the other games and the activities to earn "Big Island Bucks" were fun and not as tedious as some of the previous games. The graphics, superb as always, and the jungle/beach was very relaxing!

The cons (very minor ones):
1. Storyline was a little weak, as compared to past games, but still fun!
2. It wasn't long enough! Granted, a PC game can't last forever but...
3. While I never have a problem w/voices, I did have to ask myself why Big Island Mike and his daughter, who are from Hawai'i, did not have Hawaiian accents?
4. The tasks are either easier than the other games or I'm just getting so used to playing these games that I figure them out quicker!

Like I said, minor details for a fun, enjoying Nancy Drew game overall!

I certainly enjoyed this game, and while I did like Danger By Design a little better, I preferred the slightly lower level of difficulty for Creature of Kapu Cave. I was slightly disappointed--I had high hopes for this game and was slightly let down. Only one Hardy Boy was really available and some parts of the game were very unclear, such as examining everything around Island Mike's desk--I assumed this meant look ON the desk, and in gameplay you are unable to do so.

But all in all it was a grand effort carried out well. I liked the expansion of locations and of course applaud the graphics--the ocean coming in waves was beautifully done.

Disappointing!

My favorites are still Scarlet Hand and Deception Island- and I also loved most of the others- but these last few in the series have just gone so far downhill that I doubt I will by the newest one. Hard to believe, because I have been a diehard fan of the games...

This was one of the most enjoyable Nancy Drew games we've played in a long while. The graphics are the best ever, the voice acting, as usual, is very good (Frank Hardy excepted), and the puzzles are fun and fit nicely into the story line. It was also very cool to be able to switch between playing as Nancy or one of the boys. Very cleverly done. But for 20 bucks, you absolutely do not get your money's worth in playing time. I would suggest that Heractive either start making these games twice as long or start charging half as much if they want to maintain their fan base.

EXCELLENT GAME!!!

Hi, I love Nancy Drew, and I think this is Herinteractive's best game since Danger on Deception Island! I highly, not to mention strongly, recommend this game! In this game, you get to snorkle for shells to make hawaiin neclaces, fish for ulua (hawaiin shore fish) and more! Most people think The creature of Kapu cave is the worst Nancy Drew. Don't believe them! People who complain that it's a short game actually print a walkthrough, zip through the game and then, start complaining!

Herinteractive has even created new features!

1. You can switch from Joe Hardy, to Frank Hardy and to Nancy Drew by calling each character on their cellphone!

2. You can change the design of the control panel on the bottom of the screen!

3. Go snorkeling for shells to make beautiful necklaces to trade for Big Island Bucks!

4. Program your GPS (Global Postitioning System) to navigate from rainforests to even Kapu cave!

5. Explore the Hilihili research facility!

6. Look through the boss of Hilihili's stuff while he is in the same room, snoozin'!

**********I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME!!!**********

I found this game a lot of fun to play and the part about switching from Nancy's POV to that of Frank or Joe Hardy added another level of adventure. Sadly, I think it was a bit too easy to solve and didn't take me as long as usual. However, I was playing at the Junior Detective level and still have the Senior level to work on!

I was anticipating this game very much. I've played all of the ND games, but this didn't seem as good as the rest. Normally it takes me at least 3 days to beat a game, I beat this one in only a little over 5 hour. I was excited to get to see the Hardy boys again, especially Joe, but he's barely in the game. You only get to play as hime for about ten minutes. The mystery was rather confusing, I still don't even really understand what Nancy was trying to figure out. And the game was pretty easy, I only had trouble on one puzzle and I quickly solved it. There were only about to major puzzles to do in this game. I like the part where you get to snoop around the research center. I'm glad Her Interactive let Nancy snoop around again. All in all Kapu Cave was a really short and easy game. I hope the next one will be a bit longer and harder.
