I've played and completed all of the Nancy Drew Games, but I was hoping this was a creepy and "involved", but I completed it in a matter of hours. Wish it was a little longer and had more mystery. Really enjoyed the telegram deliveries, but wished there were more places to explore in the inn and in the town.

Characters: 9/10
Locations: 7/10
Plot: 8/10
Graphics: 11/10 They were awesome!
Music: 9/10
Length: 7/10
Overall: 8.5/10
Characters Likes:
-Each Character was different in their own way
-Great script to talk to different characters
-Could talk to more characters than just the 4 suspects
Character Dislikes:
-Occasionally, and I do mean rarely, the script would be a little faster than the characters' mouths
-To talk to Bess and George, and Nancy's father, you would have to pay 5 cents which got a little annoying after a while
-After talking to the other characters, besides the suspects, for a while they kept saying close to the same things
Locations Likes:
-The looks of seperate locations were different
-The locations were very detailed
-You learned where everything was very quickly
Locations Dislikes:
-The locations were not very large, but the details made up for it
-For the places where you couldn't go in all you saw was a picture
-You would sometimes have to go halfway across town, to go halfway across the other way across towns
Plot Likes:
-The plot was fairly origional for a HI script.
-The plot had more than just the main story
-The plot pulled in a few things from other HI games
Plot Dislikes:
-You often had to do one thing to get another to do another
-At the end for me the story line got a little confusing
-I can only think of two for this category
Graphics Likes:
-The graphics looked as though they were real
-You can see different places from the map
-People looked real, and not like a cartoon
Graphics Dislikes:
-None that I can think of!
Music Likes:
-It was a different style than the other ND games
-You had a few reminders of the other ND games from the music
-It was able to match the mood of the game
Music Dislikes:
-The music occasionally got a little repetitive
Length Likkes:
-It did not take forever to figure out the mystery
-You could control the length with delivering telegraphs
Length Dislikes:
-It was a little shorter than some of the other ND games
Overall: Overall I liked this game very much. It was one fo my favorite games that HI has made. The game flowed very solidly which I enjoyed. If it was your first game I would definately reccomend it.
Other little details:
-The mini golf game was very fun, and the graphics were amazing
-Delivering telegrams were fun, and you got to hear different people say funny things
-If you got frustrated you could go and deliver telegrams and then it would probably come to you
IT ENDED ALREADY??

I agree with most of the other reviews regarding the dynamics of this game. The graphics are attractive, expecially in the 1920's setting. However, the games were very easy (even in the Senior Decetive version), and the playing time was disappointingly short. I doubt I invested more than 5 hours on this game...which equates to a waste of money. I always look forward to spending time playing the Nancy Drew games, too bad this game was over in the blink of an eye.
Great Game

I was very disappointed with the game. Apparently you have to buy the strategy guide to follow the game intelligently. That should have been indicated upon the purchase. Also when I attempted to save the game, it failed to do so. Everytime you wanted to stop, when you returned to the game you had to start over from the beginning. Very lengthy and boring. It was bought for my 11 year old granddaughter and she was definitely disappointed.

This game was unbeleivible. From finding a treasure to riding a horse, this game is for all Nancy Drew fans, old or young, adventurous or not. It was long, hard but so fun! There are cool features that make you feel as if you are in the game. There are many puzzles, but all very interesting and fun! I'd say this game was pretty hard, it takes a lot of brains to figure out the puzzles, but alot are just trial and error. Don't forget, you can always go to the Herinteractive website for hints and tips!
I'll start off with the history. It was so incredible! You get to read clues a man hid for his love 2 centuries ago to find his 'treasure'! His tale is sad, but his clues are fun to follow! His clues take you everywhere, from a ghost town, to a rocky cliff, to a simple desert path! You also get to play a few games and do puzzles to get his next clue.
The setting was amazing, I actually thought I was in the desert! You get to snoop in a ghost town, a ranch, a shop, and more! Great graphics, I'd say even better then the ones in Curse Of Blackmoore Manor and Secret Of The Old Clock! (The 2 Nancy Drew games made after this one.)
Overall, this game is a must have! It's definately my favourite! There are many cool things you vcan do, like` ride a horse and hunt for arrowheads. This game is a bit scary, but only at the ghost town. (No, there are no ghosts!) The ending was especially fun! So, in the end, get this game! It's totaly worth the cost and wait.
Love ND Games; this one is just average.

There is some fun stuff in this PC game; but overall it's kind of boring and a little bit annoying. And I am a big fan of the Nancy Drew PC games! I have a feeling the next game (available fall 2005), "Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon", will be longer and more mysterious! My favorite ND games thus far: Danger on Deception Island, Secret of Shadow Ranch, & Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake.

Of all of the Nancy Drew games, I Have to say this was one of the worst. I was expecting better since they have made so many games, but this one was horrible. I didn't really enjoy playing it like I did the others. If you are going to play a Nancy Drew game, don't chose this one!
