I am a HUGE Nancy Drew game fan. I've played all the games, and was really escited to get this one. I had sooo much fun playing it...for two hours. And then the game was over. I was shell-shocked. All of the other Nancy Drew games took me 1-5 days and a big headache they were so difficult. But this one was so easy! This did not live up to my expectations at all. It was fun, yes. But if you are prepared to spend $20.00 on a game that will take you two hours to finish, then buy it. If you dont, save your self ten bucks and go see a movie that will entertain more than this game. Which is just about anything.

I really enjoyed this one. It wasn't so difficult that I had to go on-line to the forum to get spoilers in order to figure out the riddles or problems. At the same time, it wasn't too easy so I still had to use my brain. Since I didn't have too many problems I wished it had lasted longer. I like games that last long, but not because a particular problem or riddle takes hours to solve. I highly recommend this game.
Great fun for all ages! Perfect for ND First-Timers

I am an adult and love playing the Nancy Drew games; my teenage daughter likes them; and 86-year old "gramma" even played this one. We all enjoyed this one.
It didn't take as long to solve it and it was a bit easier than the others, so it is a perfect choice for someone who hasn't played ND games yet.
For those of us who are avid ND gamers, it's an interesting change. You actually have to drive her car; but the video switches to an aerial view and it works like manipulating a simple video game until you park the car. Then it switches back to normal mode. This really takes some skill to stay out of the mud puddles and potholes.
I wouldn't say that this one was my favorite of all the ND games; but it was FUN.

Arson, theft, noises from nowhere: it's 1930 and weird things are happening at a sleepy roadside inn. Nancy Drew must find out why. But it won't be easy-some of the townsfolk won't give you the time of day, and others seem downright dangerous. Will a dead man's clues lead to a moment of truth... or to your final hour? You can take your roadster for a spin whenever you want. But when it comes to twists and turns, all roads lead to the Lilac Inn. Are the strange clocks Josiah Crowley left behind just pointless playthings? Or was there a method to the old actor's madness? In the Depression, and the Lilac Inn faces tough times. If you don't work fast, the secrets within its walls will be lost forever. A teenager who lost her mother and may be losing her mind; a creepy neighbor with paraanormal powers-do they know more than they're saying? It's obvious that someone besides you has been prowling around in this old tumbledown passageway, but who? And why?:)
Lots of fun and a good challenge

I bought this game for my 14-year-old daughter, who loves the Nancy Drew series. I found that I also enjoyed it myself. I'm a pretty smart cookie, and I can usually figure out the end to mystery movies before the end of the film, but even I was challenged by this game! I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves detective mysteries, especially the Nancy Drew series.

I am 13 and I love the Nancy Drew games. I have played Message in a Haunted Mansion, Treasure in a Royal Tower, The Final Scene, and this one, The Secret of the Old Clock. This is one of the more recent games, and also one of the most fun. It has great graphics, a challenging and intriguing plot, and a surprise ending. You are allowed to actually take your car and drive around town to run errands, a new feature, which was probably one of the most enjoyable attributes of the game.
Overall, in my opinion this is not the very best Nancy Drew game I've ever played, (that honor probably goes to Treasure in a Royal Tower), but a lot of fun all the same. Don't hesitate to buy this game. Like my title says, this game will not disappoint you.

First, let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of the Nancy Drew game series. Now for the disappointing news - Secret of the Old Clock just isn't "up to par". Those of you that have already played will know exactly what I mean by that. After months of waiting and the fact that this is Nancy Drew's 75th anniversary, I really did expect a better game to come from the programmers. Come on guys you know you could have done better!
Her Interactive has tried to freshen things up a bit by having SOTOC take place during the Depression era, but unfortunately they forgot to do the same with the puzzles and the interface. With the exception of the Mini-Golf Course in this game(a good idea in theory), all we get in this installment is more of the same, old, non-interesting puzzles that all of us adventure gamers have seen a thousand times before. And while we are on the subject of the Mini Golf Game, I think the programmers
need to do a lot of retooling of the putting element, as there isn't even enough room to make a decent attempt. And don't even get me started on the Roadster and the endless driving about town nonsense.
Where are the interesting characters, storylines, intrigue, plots, and intuitive puzzles? I suggest that Her Interactive and Atari think about making a much longer game for those loyal fans out there that love the Nancy Drew concept. How about a 40 hour game next time - huh? Maybe then we'll get at least a few more hours of play. Please stay away from just rushing to get the next
game to market, I prefer quality in my purchases. Better luck next time - I hope.
It's one of the best iv'e played!!!!!!

I love Nancy Drew so when I got this game I was sooo happy! This game is one of the best because it based in the first book "The secret of the old clock" I like how it looked like that actual time! it's very adventurous and unless you've been able to solove hard puzzles and have finished all the rest of the games without a hard time then you really shouldn't buy it. This game takes alot of time, [for me it took a month] because you have to solve a case. unless you have help it is probably going to take a long time for you to. It is very pleasing when you finish the game so I defenetly give it the best grade ever! Nancy Drew rocks!!!!!!!!!!

I was sooooooooo looking foward to this game i was really excited and bought it the day it came out. Turned out it took me only 2 houres to finish it. It didn't have the clues leading up to the ending like the other ones did. I loved all the other games but this one was a stinker.
