I have all the Nancy Drew computer games and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Danger on Deception Island. I was not disappointed! There are lots of tricky, but not too tricky, puzzles and lots of secret passages and tunnels (my favorite part). After playing all previous eight games I was concerned I'd tire of the Nancy Drew format but there are enough clever new twists in this game to keep it fresh.

The Final Scene is another Nancy Drew game I beat. Your friend Maya Nguyen is kidnapped, and you have a deadline of 3 days to find her, before the Royal Palladium theater gets knocked down! But don't worry, the days only change when you get to a certain part in the game! I give this game 5 stars, it is awsome!
Amazing Games!!

All of the Nancy Drew games are worth getting, but especially the newer ones! My most favorite ones are Treasure in a Royal Tower where you look for missing jewels in a castle, Secret of Shadow Ranch because if you are a horse lover (or even if you are not), it is great to have the interactive horses and wild west mystery, and Danger on Deception Island because the graphics are fantastic and it has a great plot line. Overall, these games are definitely worth buying.
Very good I highly Reccomend it

I really liked this game.I thought that because it was hard, it made the game better to play.Though some parts were hard,it was a very amusing game.Clues lead you to suspect one person, but you think it's another.By far the best plot!!!!I liked how you got to travel to several other spots also. All in all, I think this is probably the best game, so far that is!

We love the Nancy Drew game series and find it a great way to challenge, empower, and educate young people, but this long awaited installment just didn't reach the level of previous games. We were able to complete gameplay in less than 3 hours, which is disappointing as we were looking forward to this game for some time. Some superb new elements have been added (such as a cell phone, e-mail hints, interesting riddles, and more interactive 'hotel room'), but overall not as educational (as say Scarlet Hand which was one of the best in terms of education)or satisfying as it should have been. Still looking forward to the next installment --- hope it retains some of the better aspects of previous games and loses some of the weaker aspects of this one. Overall, we were disappointed, but hopeful for the next one.

The fifth Nancy Drew Interactive Mystery, 'The Final Scene,' was very entertaining and challenging; 10 times better than the book. Nancy's mission, however, is much more desperate: A friend of hers is kidnapped. But what did the kidnapper want with Maya? She was just interviewing the star of 'Vanishing Destiny' at the Century Cinema, but then she disappeared! What secrets does the theater hold? And why-who?-kidnapped Maya? It's all up to you as you step into Nancy's shoes and make your move against a kidnapper who's determined to keep Maya until the final scene!

My sons and their friends, also boys, had a great time with this game. It's too bad that it is marketed and designed for just girls, because it is a wonderful, challenging mystery game for all; even some adults get hooked, yes, men too. There is no reason why boys will not enjoy this mystery adventure! Maybe the Hardy Boys will come out with a version. Until then I'm going to buy more Nancy Drew software at the request of my sons.

I am a Nancy Drew game fan, but this one was a disappointment. The game was way easy and lacked many of the hallmarks of ND games. For example, Nancy no longer has an alarm clock to go from day to night. Therefore, the gamer is forced to "sneak around" while people are still their offices. The amusement park has a map and you just click where you want to go. No more fun wandering around... There's loads of people to you need to call to give you answers you need instead of doing the research yourself. And the topper: there are very few "hot" items to pick up. Not once did I get nervous or worried and the ending was anti-climatic. I think that herinteractive should stick with what worked before. This one is way too dumbed down.
