Not going to lie. This game is a gimmick; very disappointing.

I have completed the game and traded it in for store credit shortly after, thankfully breaking even, as I got this game originally for half price on a holiday sale. This game does not meet the hype. For those of you who don't know, there is NO story line or plot. All this game is is 15 days of mini games, 5 games per day. I also might add, for multiplayer, you have to complete the mini games in single player first in order to use them in multiplayer, whats the point of that? Why make a mini game game, and make you unlock the games, there isn't even a plot.
Trust me, you will be disappointed. The mini games are repetative, use the same basic controls for most part, and they are relatively quick games. Another thing about the controls; most mini games use the same motions, there is some variety but for the most part there are different mini games that use the same controls, for example launching a rabbit by rappidly alternating up and down with the wiimote and nunchuk, or making rayman run using the same motion described above.
As for single player fun, there is little replayability for the games. As for multiplayer, you and your buddies will probably get bored unlocking the games as it is, and once you actually have them unlocked to play, they aren't that fun after playing them a few times.
So overall, this game has very slim longevity. If you are looking for a good adventure game, get Zelda. If you are looking for a multiplayer party game, hold your money for Wii Play, Wario Ware, or Mario Party 8. This game simply does not meet the hype.
Maybe I haven't explored enough but so far it stinks.

I love Rayman, I have the games previous to this incarnation. My husband bought me this game for Christmas. So far, it, frankly, SUCKS! The games are stupid and it won't let me save a game. Apparently I need to spend MORE time with this gem to advance to the next level. I'm tired of spinning the cow around AGAIN even after I've successfully done it 3 times.
I HATE HATE HATE this game and don't recommend it to anyone even if they love Rayman (which i do!) I wish I could give it minus stars.
It comes with that Icky feeling.

Ok, I'm no goody-goody. I like the Sopranos, Tarantino flicks, and Quake 4.
But there is something icky about the goal of a game that has a player repeatedly hitting a rabbid on the head with a hammer. Many people on this list say it is non-violent, but hitting "animals" (yeah I know they are possessed) with shovels, hammers, pulling worms out of their teeth and watching them hit each other with spiked clubs, well it just leaves me icky. Is this what "E" for everyone means?
My kids don't like the game. It feels like a bunch of technical demonstration programs linked together. I don't think it's enjoyable either. It's going up for sale.
The most boring game on the Nintendo Wii

I simply cannot explain in words how boring this game is. The first person shooter aspect of this game is all rail based. You cannot choose where to move and it is very annoying.
The dancing portions of this game are worthless and pointless. The gestures you make with the wii-remote are tedious.
If you are looking for a fun game that is worth your time and money, look somewhere else.
Might I also add this game now has made me feel an urge to kill every rabbit I see.
Bugs you should know about

I like this game a lot but there are some bugs that you should know about. First, the game does not run in 480p even when the Wii is set to 480p and you use the Nintendo Wii Component Cable. Second, the game does not run in widescreen even when you have the Wii configured to use widescreen. I'm using a 40" Sony Bravia LCD and the game is stretched and blurry. The manual incorrectly states there is a Video Menu option but this is not the case and according to the UBI website this reference should have been taken out of the manual before it was printed. The UBI website also incorrectly states that the 480p and Widescreen options are taken from the Wii configuration. This simple isn't true. Can you say, bug?!?
Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game. It's just the pictures you see on the web for the game are misleading. It's not widescreen, it's not 480p, and the graphics are not that great.
I hate the dancing game!!!!!

this game is basically a bunch of mini-games combined... some of the games are not too bad but some are just plain stupid... i think its terrible how u actually have to beat the games in story mode first before u can play them... the dancing game is terrible also... it wasn't too bad the first two times... but they you have to keep playing them... i'm on the third or fourth one and i'm just stuck because its hard to do the motions sometimes when you have 7-8 rabbits coming out all at once... i've been at this dance game for about half an hour and i'm stuck cuz i can't beat it... now i can't play the rest of the 82 percent of the game because i'm stuck at one part... this sucks!
Way Too Overhyped!

This game is way to overhyped. After reading all the glowing reviews I decided to shell out the $50.00 and now regret doing so. This game is mildly entertaining..not as hilarious as everyone says. The plot is lame and should've gone more in depth. The controls are fun at times yet also feel redundant. Everyone says how innovative this game was with the wii remote but I felt the controls were just too simple and basic. How many times can one milk cows, dance with rabbits, throw plungers, etc. At first it can be fun but it gets old real quick. When I beat some of the levels I didn't feel it was that rewarding or took much skill. This game feels like a blockbuster movie with nice special effects but no real plot and depth to it. I can ONLY recommend this game to young kids, while there are certainly older people who like it I just can't recommend this overhyped game so if you must buy it, pick it used and/or wait for the price to drop significantly cause its not worth $50.00, I am much happier with Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz which got mixed reviews and is easily the more skillful and entertaining game.
Great game play, lousy ending

What a fun game to play-assuming you don't mind performing various acts of mayhem and destruction on the unfortunate rabbits! Sadly though, my family and I, particularly my 5yr old, were terrible disapointed at the ending, which compeletely lacked any attempt at resolving the game and giving any closure to the story as presented in the game. That said, as long as you don't get too wrapped up in why you're playing the game, the individual mini games are a blast and have great repeatability.
A bad game

Rayman Raving rabbids is not really a game, but more like a tech demo. Sure, Wii already has tech demos, in fact, most of the launch line up (except for Zelda) is filled with tech demos. But what makes this one different? It has retarded screaming bunnies. From this already, your good instincts should tell you to stay away You play as a limbless creature named Rayman, who has been kidnapped by retarded bunnies, and you have to partake in something like 70 minigames to plunge your way to freedom. The premise is stupid, just a way to tie together all the minigames. The minis themselves range from barely playable to just plain abysmal. You will not want to play most of these games, because they are either stupid concepts or badly designed. Very few of the games are fun, but they lose their charm after playing them once or twice. Many of the minigames also share the same gimmick,, which wouldn't be a issue if the gimmicks were less simple and easy to spot. The minigames alone makes the game horrible and not worthy of anyones money.
There are really only two upsides to owning this game. One, the first person shooter boss battles. After every stage (composed of 4 games) there is a boss battle, and sometimes you are treated to a very fun arcade style shoot'em up game. These are some of the best use of the controller on the system, and are increadably fun, but you will have to suffer through the rest of the crap to get to it. The other upside is humor. The Bunnies are so stupid and they are so horribly exploited in some of the minigames that it becomes funny. Of course, you are lowered down do retarded humor, but if you just need a good laugh, this game will provide entertainment.
Otherwise, this game is just a bad minigame collection that may provide some fun in the form of a boss battle, or just retarded humor, but usually it is just frustratingly bad, not worth the time or money. Save both by giving this one a pass
2/5 overall
Fun...at first.

My kids and I sat down to play this after we spent some Christmas gift cards. There was much laughing and knee-slapping...at first. The gags in the intro's can sometimes be funny, but many times they're just cruel i.e. a rabbid whacking another one over the head with a spiked club. After watching them once, I skip them entirely.
As the other reviews have mentioned, the "story mode" is nothing of the sort. After finishing the first day's events and getting thrown in the Rabbid's jail cell, I was expecting clues or tools to facilitate my escape (ala an RPG). When you knock on the cell door, the oversized rabbit guard throws you back in the arena for another "day's" events. Huh? Lather, rinse, repeat. The events tend to get repetitive...just how many variations of the shooting arcade or dancing am I expected to endure?
Then, there's the technical complaints. The game is obviously converted from a computer version. The font used is difficult to read on the TV screen, which makes reading the event's directions sometimes a challenge in itself. Lastly, the long loading times. Let's see. Play a 5 second event (cow toss), and endure 10 seconds of loading screen? I spend more time staring at the pink swirly "loading..." screen. Taking this one back for store credit, or whatever.
