Excite Truck is hands down the most fun racing "we've" had with the Wii. My sister, who hates games, loves playing Excite Truck with me, her older brother. This game is completely entertaining and accessible enough that anyone can play. Not to be missed if you have a Wii. I liked it so much that I had rented it almost a year ago, and just recently decided I still wanted to play it.

This must be one of the best Fun based car racing games I have played for a loooong time.
This car racing game is more based towards 3d views and some somewhat unreal acceleration functions. But mind you this increases the fun-factor by several 100%.
Can you imagine a racing game where the racing track actually runs trough mountains and valleys in dimensions of several x0 meters up and down ? Its like making your car work and jump like a goat in the Alps ;-)
Ever thought of turning on the rocket boost engine when you are in the air ?
This game has those features and anything you havent thought of yet !!
The background weather is changing from rain to snow to sunshine and even the waterdrops appear and disappear on your wind screen.
That is the car racing game with the most stunning fun and stunt-effects. So for sure you can make stunt starting from simple drifting, to airspins, activate superpower to break through jungle deep woods, activate hyper accelaration where the racing track gets transformed in front of your eyes into a ramp .. and it just doesnt stop there.
First time I played it I was shocked that you actually have to start running through a training before you are allowed to play it. Once the real game starts you understand why the training was made for it. ;-)
There are already 70+ reviews but I can just add this will be a long time seller !!
Excellent fun for anybody involved !!
What a great game

A very enjoyable game that you can sit down and play without any fuss. Having the objective to obtain a number of stars by doing tricks, smashing into other trucks etc makes it more competitive and interesting than just racing to the finish line first. And sacrificing ultra realistic physics places more emphasis on fun than being a realistic simulation.
Graphics are quite nice, and there is no lag despite being such a fast paced game for a (relatively) slow processor. Menu options appear to be quite basic, and I think they rushed this for an early release, but the rest of the game is well detailed and addictive.
Of the few Wii games I own, this one gets played on high rotation.
Throwing trucks doesn't get old...

This is a great game for the Wii and a blast to play against another opponent on split screen. Thankfully, this game actually splits the screen down the middle (vertically) instead of horizontally like a lot of games and seemed to strike a healthy balance between visibility and screen clutter. The tracks are fairly straight-forward but there are hidden routes that take a little bit of hunting to exploit and gain time.
One of the cooler aspects of this racing game are strategy points that you drive through that "change" the course...literally. The next 1/4 of a mile or so of road will shift and completely change moving either up or down like a massive, mind-controlled earthquake. If you time your hitting of these just right you'll "throw" the other trucks that you're racing against and gain bonus points - very, very fun in my opinion.
Daddy won't let me play it!

We just got this for Christmas and I overheard my 5 year old telling his Granny that his daddy wouldn't let him play this because he was too busy playing it himself! We've all enjoyed this game and have "teamed up" to try to advance to new levels. This is one game you won't regret buying.
4 year old grandson loves it.

My grandson is 4 YEARS 7 MONTHS. He had been quickly bored with my Wii games. He loves the Wii Excite. He loves it because I have a wheel, and he can steer it like the games at an arcade (Pizza place, bowling alley).
He loves it because there are no rules. He can constantly crash into trees, go off cliffs, and sink in water. No problem. The game allows you to keep going and even awards points for good crashes. In other words, he loves it because he can have fun playing, without having a clue what he is doing. It's a great game for youngsters. It's also fun for anyone else that likes truck racing games.

After some initial shipping problems where the local post office forgot where we lived I got the game in time to take to my nephew for his 7th birthday. He was a little frustrated at first, as he tried to master the training sessions, but with a little help from his Dad he figured it out. We skipped some of the training sessions and just ran the game. He picked up how to steer very quickly and it was great fun for him. He tended to press the wrong buttons at first but after about 1/2 hour he got the hang of it. The only thing we( his mum and dad and I )could not figure out, not even after I read the instructions ( I'm an engineer and a computer geek) was how to race two trucks side by side. I left early but was told later that he played with it for 3 straight hours then it was bedtime.
His 4 year old brother did not have the finesse yet to drive it though.
