As much as I enjoyed this game, I was saddened that it only took a little over a week to beat.
The single player campaign was very interesting to play. My favorite section of course was the Eqyptian campaigns.
I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone that enjoys the "Age of _____" series.

Having played many of the other "RTS" games out there, I can vouch for the streamlined gameplay and look of Age of Mythology. Streamlined is the keyword since nothing new was added to the RTS genre with this game. Everything in this game has been done before in games like Age of Kings, Total Annihilation Kingdoms, and Warcraft. However, Age of Mythology brings all of the traditional RTS elements together brilliantly.
The graphics engine is superb with a crisp, elaborate, and stable 3D engine. The soundtrack merits its own cd (which I believe they do sell). I was quite surprised at the amazing soundtrack after reading a couple of reviews on this website heavily criticizing it. I disagree with those thoughts completely.
The only thing lacking in this game is something lacking in almost all RTS games. It is perhaps an unfair criticism which is why I gave them five stars. I do not consider current RTS games to have a true strategic element to them. You are much better at "RTS" games if you have the quickest hand eye coordination. Those able to click all of their military into the correct spot the quickest are the most competent players. You can have a real-time element without the click-fest.
Totally Awsome!!!

This game is great. Think about Age of Empires: The Age of Kings, then add in some "God Powers" different civilizations, and some strange beasts with amazing abilities. Yep, thats Age of Mythology. Each of the civilizations funtions in a different way. It's a challeng at first but once you get the hang of it you'll love it. Great game in every aspect from the sound effects and music, to the graphics and the great voice over acting in the campaign video sequences. If you love real time strategy games then you should definately buy this game.
The end of an era.

When is comes to RTS, it doesn't get much better. Unfortunately, I think this format has run it's course. The designers of Empire Earth tried to put a new twist on things, but it was still just a glamorized version of Age of Empires.
AOM pushes the graphical detail about as far as noticeable, and threw in a few extras for gameplay, but after all is said and done, it's just another glamorized version of AOE.
If you're a die-hard AOE fan, you'll enjoy the eye-candy of a very familiar game. If you're looking for something totally new in the RTS genre, you'll probably have to keep looking.

Age Of Mythology is a very exciting game. The graphics are extremly good, mugh better than Age Of Empires. The soundtrack and music is very good to. They have a varity of types of music. There are levels of diffuculty for when you play Age of Mythology. This comes in handy. Age Of Mythology is a learning experience and is very fun. I recomennd this game for kids ages 10 to 15.

The game itself is pretty good. The graphics are very nice and detailed and the singleplayer campaign is pretty good and lan play is good too. But i rate it 3 stars because the "Ensemble Online" network for online play is terrible! the community is very small (compared to battlenet/wc3) and you can't even join any online games at all if you are behind a shared internet connection (ICS, NAT, proxy/router) !!... even with the latest patches i still cannot join any online games. this is the case not only on my pc, but my family's pcs (all behind shared internet) and my friends computers that are also behind shared internet access. Hopefully they will fix this with a patch (although from the reading the readmes in the latest patches it seems like they are avoiding the problem).
So overall its a good solid game if you like playing alone or on the lan, otherwise expect trouble if you access the internet behind a router/nat and wish to play online.
HARD TO IMPROVE ON PERFECTION

It really is hard to improve on perfection. There are a few games that come out every year that make you say Wow, now this is what a PC Game should be. Then there are a few very special games that you find every 3-4 years that seem to stay on your hard drive for several years. This is one of those games. Age of Mythology is a masterpiece. Its one of those titles that us RTS buffs drool over but its also a game for those folks that strategy games just dont appeal. There is something for everyone here. The 3D Engine that powers this game is amazing. As soon as the opening movie starts you know that this is something special. This game has the most realistic terrain, water, special effects ect... to date from a strategy or any other game type. The cimematics are beautiful and move a truly impressive storyline. The online game has a new proprietary matchmaking system as well that keeps a good balance for all skill levels making it much easier for novice players not to be so outmatched playing the online community. If you have played the Age of Empires series of course you will be right at home but this game is so much more. Three separate civilizations each managed in their own unique way throws curves at you just when you think you have it all figured out! The "God Powers" Tornados, Meteors,Lightning, (just to name a few) that turn the game in an instance is also incredible, be wise though because you can only "invoke" each power once per game. The characters are also very unique. They move as if they are truly real, not to mention the mythology creatures! If you want a title that you will not soon forget, look no more.
Just get it

Its simple. If you already have Age of Mythology, and LOVED IT, then most certainly get Titans. This game adds so much to the original version with more units, and one extra civilization. The multiplayer gameplay has improved greatly.
Great game, but really hard

Great graphics, wonderful gameplay, but it is really hard to fight. I tried fighting the anubites and the red spearmens, and it so hard. Multiplayer on the internet is really crappy. Halo for PC multiplayer keeps me entertained alot more. You actually know who you are and where your enemy is. Everything else in fun. I recommend you to go out and buy it. It's inexpensive and the campaign is fun if you know what to do that is.
An incredible game
