well age of mythology is perfect in all aspects.the storyline, the video, the way u had to please gods to get their special powers and gameplay was excellent.no complaints from this one.
Starts great, gets repetitive, not a real whole pile to do..

The game starts well much like any of these RPG Sim games do. Build your town, increase its population, build more structures, updrade everything, develop an army, send them all off to war. Direct who they should fight along with some strategy.
However for all its upsides and fun the game has a lifespan of about a week or two at best and unless you really love it you may find yourself quickly looking for another game for variation. To be honest I enjoyed 50% of this game but then it just got too repetitive to continue playing it any more and the point + click... see how it works, sometimes becomes just straight forward button bashing and sending men off in droves to fight some war and really, that is it. Create buildings, create creatures, create men and send them off to war and keep an eye on the basic utilities so that you do not run out of wood, food and gold.
Good but not exactly a ground breaking RPG game although it is a lot better than other RPG games out there, but sadly the initial joy becomes bordom. This was actually one of the few highly-rated 5 star games that did not live up to the hype for me and I wanted it to. I really wanted to enjoy this game but it does not tax the brain enough and the tug-of-war monotony does come on pretty fast.
Enter Age of Empires 3...

We'll it might as well be called that. This game follows the tried and true gameplay of Age of Empires and add's a few more twists to it such as god favor(a resource to manage) and god powers(abilities to help your civilization grow). The single player is long enough and very fun. Each civilization is very varied, however, there are only a few civilizations like in Warcraft 3. Still this is a great spiritual successor to age of empires and a great rts.
don't ask questions just buy it

When i got AOM i thought it was the best game.i was wrong.AOMT
(age of mythology the titans)is better.microsoft out did them
selves.it's really fun destroying your enemie's town with a
titan.the units are balanced pretty good.i like the new god
powers.it's fun to time warp your buildings which you can only
do if you worship kronos who is an atlantean god.i think the
greek titan is the coolest titan.mirror towers are really
cool.instead of fireing arrows mirror towers fire a laser beam.
if you like AOM then you will love AOMT!!!!!!!!!!!

Not as good as, Age of Empires, too fake/hokey, not nearly as much fun to play. Only improvement is the farmers only need to be told to start a farm once, not every time the farm is exhausted [big improvement in game play].

System Requirements: Macintosh computer with a 450MHz or faster processor, OSX 10.2.8 or higher, 256MB RAM, 16MB video card, and CD-ROM drive.
I didn't have a new version of OSX. It didn't run till I got my new Mac, with the latest OSX on it. Other then that, it is an awesome
game, with lots of new ideas from the AOE2. If you just got your Mac, get this game.
A very good RTS with an fun twist

Developer Rick Goodman has done it again- made a really fun RTS with some important new elements. The most important parts are the three unique civilizations, god powers, and mythological units. For example, if you decide to worship Hera, you can get Medusas and the lightning storm power. There is also a really good campaign, with more than thirty levels, where you play as the greek hero Arkantos. In all, this is a fun game that is definitely worth getting.
It's only the best game that mankind has invented.

Ok, I've had AoM for about 8 months and it's taken me that long to write this review because I've been hooked to the games. In fact, it's about 3AM as I write this review, only because I took a pause in the game to review it.
This game is AMAZING! The storyline is great (mesmerizing the first time you play and engrossing every other time) and the speed and skills of the computer player match perfectly with your level of skill. What is truly amazing is the 3D graphics. I LOVE being able to scroll my mouse button and have the entire map move around for me so I can see the fight from a different angle! Believe me, that makes a difference in the middle of a big fight. The technologies are great and the God Powers are fun to use. Having played online, I hate when people use the cheats, but some of them are really funny.
AoM also comes with Random Map, where you can hone your skills against a computer player(and the computer is really smart! I've had to learn to play much more aggressively in order to win) and Edit (where you can create your own map). I love creating maps then having friends play on them to critique.
All in All, this is a must buy GAME. I can't wait for Microsoft to put out the new campaign!
