Awsome graphics. Superb sound. Impeccable game interface. This game is certaintly the best in the Age of Series. The balance is good. I very much like the 3 types of units (human, heroic, and mythic). It gives the game more variety and tactical challenge. The only thing is the game is too slow for me (45 min. to 2 hr.), so I would reccomend Red Alert 2 for those of you that are like me. Other than that this game is perfect.

This is the best game ever. I can't stop playing it. I fully recomend this game to any mythology lovers or fans of Age of Empires. Anyone will enjoy being able to worship the anchient gods, and use mythicle units. This game kicks ass, and everyone should buy it.

As a long time player of the Age of Empires games I was a bit skeptical about the introduction of "mythological" - read magical - characters. But this added a dimension to the game that AOE veterans will appreciate. The story is fun although a bit corny. The best things about this game include:
The graphics, they are great, a real step up, which I guess we'd all expect.
The AI is a little smarter and less restrained than in the AOE series. When you play it on the hardest level you'll see it.
The Myth Characters. They add another dimension to your economy. In battle they're cool to watch, although not all that more useful than "mortal" units.
All in all MS has come up with a very good, very entertaining (time wasting) game.
WoW this game is pretty fun

I play alot of trategy games but this one i have to say is one of the best. This game has many new advancements over the old age of empires 2. It has outstanding graphics and real easy to learn upgrades. One big part of this game thats real fun are the mythlogical creatures and god powers.Bassicaly it is age of empires 2 on steroids. There are really only a couple of flaws i can say about the game. It is really annoying when you have to build multiple town squares to make it to you can have more population. By the time you save up for another town square someone else has already taken it. Still by all means a fun game but with some flaws.
Beautiful

This game delivers the awesome gameplay that RTS players have come to expect from the age of series. This one features three races, each capable of following a divine allignment of their choice, and to create mythical creatures, heroes and regular soldiers. You can also summon acts of god. To pay for your mythical units, you must do different things for each race; pray, build and kill.
As for the graphics, the AOM team took the road to 3D with reasonable success. The graphics are pretty, and look especially spectacular when you have large forces battling each other on screen. The terrain and units are very detailed, and the animations are very impressive and fun to watch, making this very pleasing to the eye.
As for the campaign, the story keeps you fasinated with a story as good as the amazing one in Warcraft III.
Rounding up, I think that this game is well worth your purchase, and a worthy member of the Age of series.
Go Back in time, choose a god, and worship ur butt off

This game is great, if you're an Age of kings lover and like the Age of empires series you will love this game, it not only gives you the same features of Age of Empires, but it gives you the attempt to form your own civilization and learn about Ancient civilizations, like the Greeks and Egiptians.
This is a great game that Is so much fun, my only complaint is htat it only has 4 invironments.

Love this game, although if you are a teacher, you'll want to buy the collecters edition. The levels are lots of fun, and MS put a LOT of thought into them. Lots of replay value and I can't wait to try the multiplayer. You may want to upgrade the drivers for your graphics card before playing.
This Game is Awesome!

This is one of my favorite games! I hate people who don't have a taste for strategy and criticize this game. THe god powers can be game-breakers and the myth units look cool. The Greeks have the best and second-most user friendly civilization, next to the Atlanteans. The Norse guys are by far the hardest to play. The gods are a nice feature and I love the campaigns. The titan unit really helped me win the games and is a tatal game breaker. Even if you defeat it, you'll probably lose. THe one drawback is if you only want to play historical games this game is NOT for you. At first, I hated it because it didn't have total historical accuracy. This is THE game that you will play for months on end.

This game lacks the features I came to expect from Age of Kings. I used t be an avid Age of Kings and Conquerors player and when I heard about Age of Mythology, I was ecstatic. But, when I got it, the luster wore off. The campaign has not much of an interllectual value and is truly a waste of time in the original and I thought that they were improving it so, I got the expansion. To my dismay, the expansion's campaign was even more pointless and groundless. Let me give you a lttle detail in case you didn't play Age of Kings or Conquerors. The Age of Kings campaigns (Barbarosa, etc.) were very difficult and I stress that point. They would usually take at least 45 minutes. The Conquerors scenarios were varied but still kept the interllectual focal point. The new campaigns lack this facet which I would normall expect. The new AOE III seems better as the demo came out prior to this review. But, the in-game multiplayer feature is better than the zone way of old. The onine features are fun as is playing with people of different cultures. In my opinion the only excellen part is the multiplayer. Word to the wise, do get the game and see, the Atlantean culture isn't all it's cracked up to be.
