Just like all ps2 things, hyped up to be what it's not.

I am the owner of a ps and a dc. I have seen pictures of this gamein my official playstatoin magizine and pretty much every where else along with ps2. I also own soul calibur, a game for my dc and let me just say, soul calibur beats the pants off of this game. THis game is just about like tekken 1, 2 , and 3, only hyped up to be the savior of all fighting games. It is not. I would rate tekken 2 batter than this piece of junk. And soul calibur beats them all, so save your money, you could buy a much better game..or for that matter a better console.

Good, but not as good as hoped...

I bought this game with my PS2 in June and I couldn't wait to get it in october. Well the day arrived...and came and went like minnesota weather. Basicly, this game is fun for previous players of Tekken, but offers no new variety of gameplay. My suggestion, get Tekken if you're new to the series, and if you are a hardcore Tekken player...otherwise, get another game to entertain yourself with.

Dreamcast-vs-Sony

Well, I just got my Playstation 2 pre-order yesterday! That was a long and tortuous wait! Anyway, I only have Tekken Tag, so far. I also have a Dreamcast and yes, Soul Caliber is a great fighting game.

Ok, so was I blown away by Tekken Tag in comparison? No. Is Tekken Tag far and above Virtua Fighter? YES, no contest. Is this to say Soul Caliber is better? No, just different (and I love all those SC weapons!)

The complexity of Tekken Tag moves is amazing, but the character graphics didn't live up to the hype. The opening CGI credits were unbeleviable though. Perhaps other games will be a better showcase for Sony's pride and joy. Such as the Dreamcast, the games will advance with time.

A Nice Game, But There Are Betters Out There

The thing I really despise most of all about this game is the fact that 'button mashing' will win you games. You hardly even have to know what you are doing to pick up the controller and start tapping everything as fast as you can. The graphics are very nice, but without decent, innovative gameplay the game really falls short. Try waiting for Soul Caliber 2 or go out and buy DOA2. To sum it up, it's a fun game with dazzling graphics, but it just can't stand up to games like DOA2 or Soul Caliber.

Not the best game in the world, but good.

This game is all right for P.S.2. The graphics rock, the characters are pretty cool, and the moves are pretty neat. But i wouldn't rate this game 5 stars. Hworang, Eddy, Paul, and Armor King are the guys that I reccomend the most. Any one else really ... to tell you the truth. The moves are cool, especially Eddy's. I really don't think that the game is th best, but all in all, the game isn't that bad.

Cool Mama!

I'm a great fan of the Tekken series and when I saw this latest incarnation I was a little disappointed. Granted, the graphic effects such as the snow falling on one level, grass thickets on another and all the cheering yobs/practicing ninjas in the background look really pretty, but they don't do anything for the gameplay. I found the game to be noticeably slower than Tekken 3 on the PlayStation (PS-..., PS2-...). My main gripe however was the lack of new decent characters. For starters, old crappy characters have been resurrected (Lee, P-Jack, Jun) when they already have counterparts that have identical moves. Panda and that ridiculous Kangaroo are still present, and who honestly picks them? The final boss is also very uninspired. I'd consider this as Tekken 3 with small bells and whistles rather than a sequel to Tekken 3. Four games in a row with the same characters is getting more than a little dated.

I think that it's nothing accept a Tekken 3 without tag format. If I wanted tag format I would get Dead or Alive 2.

please do it

This game has sweet graphics, awesome music and great wacky characters but something's missing. First of all, it takes 1 hour to beat the game and second it'boring after you play it for an hour.
GRAPHICS:10/10. By far the biggest plus in the graphics are the beutifully rendered backgrounds. 3-D people cheer for you others mind there own buisness. Most of the characters look great too, but some (such as king) aren't very well done.
SOUND:9/10: There's not much to say. Great punching noises and Japanese voices. The music is awesome.
CONTROL:8/10. It's your standard fighting game affair. Two punch buttons two kick buttons. It responds quick enough but there's nothing ground breaking.
RENTING FUN FACTOR:10/10. I rented this game before I bought it and it was VERY fun, but after awhile it's just boring. Definitely rent it.
BUYING FUN FACTOR:5/10: Even with all the pluses in T-T-T this game is just boring and has no replay value. The bowling side game is extremely fun though. 2-player is as boring as one player.
