Great fighting game worth every penny

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 1

The movements are fluid, the Grapics are great, the sound is good, the backgrounds are artistic and the gameplay (above all else) is on top of its game. This is a good fighting game to invest in whether its for your first Tekken game or you 4th (or 5th). Since it you don't have to use the major button and controller combinations that Street Fighter or Mortal Combat had to pull off intricate moves, its a good game for young or old.

An average fighter worth it to any fan of the series

You can yell at me, you can scream at me, but I apologize, i cannot call Tekken Tag Tournament and above average game. This game seems to have been able to make the already traditionally clunky Tekken controls even more awkward, and pales in comparison to the amazingly fluid VF4 controls. If not for the mediocre controls, and the lack of fluidity that has become known to the Tekken series(the one exception would be Tekken 4), this game would be much better and may even merit a 5. Give this game a rental and buy it if you are a Tekken fan, but stay away if you aren't a true fan of the fighting game genre.

Good Tekken game. But not the best.

This game is pretty good if you have not played a tekken game before. But it is not fresh if you have. The drawback with this game is that it actually doesn't offer anything different from the previous tekken games and plays very identicle to tekken 3. Ok it may have a tag mode in which none of the other previous tekken games have but the tag mode is not has good and different as the one in dead or alive 2. The good points this game as however is that it has all the charactars from the previous tekken games and a few extras. The game also has a tekken bowl mode in which you can unlock Dr B from tekken 3 and possibly a one on one versus mode. And last the graphics are very outstanding.

Fairly Average Fighting Game

This is overall a decent game, and since it's only [money] at the moment, it would make a good buy. I personally am not too allured by tag team games, and this one didn't change me. Many of the characters that you must earn are very forgettable. The game itself is laid out in a fairly confusing manner (you can only change players outfits by hitting certain buttons on the control pad, and they have to hit back to re-select a different one if you don't like it). Overall, I would just wait for tekken 4 to come out, but that's just me...

This is the best fighting game of all time. If you own tekken 3, you know how much fun that is... So tekken tag is twice as fun because you have 2 characters. I truely recomend getting this game. There is no one in this world that would like this game.

The best fighting game ever made.

Tekken is the best game out for PS2 right now. It is the best fighting game ever made. It might not have very much new features or characters but it has over 300 new moves and combos. If you got tired of Tekken 3 then this game may not be for you. If you love fighting games especially Tekken. Buy this game now!!!

I really enjoyed play Tekken Tag. I really liked the fact that the characters' head follows the other character around.

BIg heads make this game weird, but cool.

The game is excellent. The only thing i did not like from the conversion is that when the characters are closer to the screen, the heads became way to big for the body. Especially Paul Phoenix. Also the characters have lost some of the "tekken look", they are to smooth, but i am sure lots of people will like the upgrade. gameplay is what makes this game. Lots of characters to choose from, and the tag feature definatelly gives the game a new meaning. Go NAMCO!!!

Tekken is disappointing

I was disappointed with Tekken Tag Tournament. The graphics no doubt are great, but as far as the gameplay goes, players will be disappointed. This game in no way compares to the gameplay of Soul Calibur for Sega Dreamcast. Soul Calibur dominates Tekken, mostly because of the 3-D, 360 degree movement allowed. Tekken does not use this, leaving the game too basic, and the controls frustrating. Soul Calibur's player moves are amazing and quick, but doing combos in Tekken is a bit of a task, and the movements of the characters don't move as fast as you press the buttons. This game could be a lot better, but for now, your best bet is to save your money and wait until Soul Calibur comes out for Playstation 2.
