Excellent graphics and a wide variety of options.

'Legends of Wrestling' is a creatively designed game that brings back 'The good times' of wrestling.
This game has terrific graphics and a strange, yet awesome 'Create a Superstar' screen.
Glitches, such as stalling of time or graphic misplacements are rare and very minor. Not many wrestlers are available yet the 'Create a Superstar' menu fixes that.
An incredibly wide variety of attacks are present in the game yet some are quite difficult to maneuver.
Due to the blood and violence in this game, only children 11 years or older should play.
Noting all of the positive features and VERY FEW negative features, I rate this game FOUR stars.

I find these reviews hard to believe because when I played Legends of Wrestling, I wish I could have gone and gotten my rental fee back. This has horrible game play. Though it might be cool to be the great characters in the game, it was so boring as the set moves were weak. I advise people not to waste your time or money on this game.

What a waste!

If you are a wrestling fan, this game is a big disappointment. Sure the wrestlers they have chosen for the game are some of the biggest names in the business, but that is the only good thing about the game. You have very limited moves, reversals are way too easy (in one sequence I think I had seen 8 reversals on the same attempt), and tagging in partners and climbing the ropes are almost impossible. Finishing maneuvers are a waste of time trying to attempt, because the instruction book doesn't give any information on when to perform them. Overall, save your money for the next WWE game (whenever that is).

THE WORST WRESTLING GAME EVER!!!!!

For a game to be called Legends of Wrestling this game should have been named something else. First of all any true wrestling fan would agree the how could you make a game called Legends of Wrestling without Flair, Piper, Savage, Sting, The Freebirds, Dusty Rhodes, Lex Luger, Arn Anderson, Shawn Michales ect. The gameplay is garbage. A six year old could go straight through the career mode undefeated. And some of the wrestlers on the game are not legends KoKo B. Ware started his career out in Memphis (the former Wrestling Capital Of The World) getting... beat until he sole himself out dyed his hair bought a bird and went to the WWF and continued to get...beat. Now he is probably a fat cashier at Walgreens or Exxon in Memphis. The arenas are garbage too. The only thing on the game that reminds you of the old days in wrestling is the blood. The graphics are also garbage. I don't understand how you can make a wrestling game and expect it to sell with games like SmackDown 3 on the market. I dont even think the creators of this game were actual wrestling fans. This game is a waste of money I would sell my copy but I would not want to put anybody through the same torment. So if you love Wrestling and appreciate it for what is is as good entertainment dont waste you time with this game.

This game is a great example of what Pro wrestling used to be. That is more wrestling and less hype. The gameplay is totally different then Smackdown 3 and for this reason the game has been maligned by some unfairly. It does take time to learn and it can be quite challenging but once you get used to it the controls are second nature. There is great variety in the moves with each wrestler being able to perform 60-80. These correspond to the wrestlers actual career. For example Bundy does no ariel moves while Van Dam does a multitude of them. The moves involving the turnbuckle are extrodinary and very realistic. There is of course buckets of blood for you gore hounds out there. The blood effects are the best I have seen in any kind of game period. I have truely enjoyed this game. It may not have appeal to teenagers but if your an adult who has been a wrestling fan for years you will love it. I do reccommend buying the strategy guide which will decrease any frustration you may experience. I am certainly looking forward to Legends of Wrestling 2.

Good Concept, Bad Game

This game would be every old school wrestling fans dream, if it was good enough to be called a game. The Roster is outstanding, with the likes of RVD, Sabu, Hogan, Bret Hart, etc... But the game play is slow and sluggish and very difficult to play. I like to have fun playing wrestling games, not straining my thumbs to pull off a lousey move. Very slow paced, Very cheaply made. If you want a good wrestling game, play WWF No Mercy.

Excellent Game!

This is an excellent wrestling game with all the great wrestlers from the past. Much better than WWF Smackdown. What you gonna do when the Hulkster and Legends of Wrestling run wild over you.

ok i bought the game a few days ago just cause i couldnt wait any longer and it wasnt out to rent well ill be the first to sat it isnt all its made up to be. for starters its is slower then most games the creat a wrestler or legend isnt that great. the only modes of play are 1on1 tag 3 and 4way dances along with carrer which only has a single play mode tournent which has tag,tag titles, and single. In my opinion the only thing great about this game is the grafics and all the rest isnt that out of the ordinary. (...)

Stop bashing an instant classic

I read a review by another customer on this game and, quite honestly, I wish he would just shut up. I own both Smackdown and Legends, and Legends is the superior game, and I have every confidence that it will become an instant classic. While Smackdown does do great homage to its noble predecessors, it pales in comparison to the bang up job Acclaim did with this game. Acclaim has developed an amazing new engine, completely seperate from its Warzone/ECW engine, which has greatly improved gameplay. While Smackdown does have a slightly superior Create-A-Wrestler mode, it cannot compete with Legends story mode, which is nowhere near as repetative as Smackdown:JBI's. The characters are also excellent, and I enjoy their cartoon like graphics over the disturbing looks of some of Smackdown's stars. So please, if you are going to post a review about a game, try to say something positive, or just stop whining.
