if you already hit to purchase this, i guess you haven't. Guantlet legends was a terrible game for the N64, that included swarms of monsters, and awkward camera angles. From the many problems, it created a chalenge. The game was no longer a game, it was a task. Not fun at all. Now a sequel. The game is totally based on graphics. Like most ps2 games, the companies spend their time on grpahics and disregard the gameplay. If this is anything like the original, which this game was reviewed to be like in japan, then you might want to look into a different game.
A good game

A lot of people may say that the game is nothing but just killing things. But it has a good story and always gives you something to work for. When I first got it, I couldn't put it down. I just had to keep going to see what other secrets I could find. Anyone who loves a good game with a good story should pick this up. Also, the multiplayer is awesome! If you've got a few friends over, this is the game to play. You won't be dissapointed.

I cant wait 4 this to come out cause i have played mostly the first gaunlet game ever created and even though the graphics r a bit horrible, its still 1 of the best. I have played the Gaunlet game on dreamcast and although it might be only ok as a single player game, it kicks as a multiplayer. I suggest this game to all (except 4 the guy who gave it 1 star) who like to play with friends cooperativly. Buy this game ASAP or if ur still not sure about it, rent it then buy it

Gaunlet Legends delivered adeep story line, excellent gameplay, and that old fashioned hack and slay fight to the death. The multiplayer was great. It had you and acouple friends using a warrior of your favorite fighting style. your characters would back to back making your last stand against the enemy. This sequal looks like it will deliver this again. Picking up where Gaunlet Legends left off this story will continue.
Surprisingly...Good!

I was beyond surprised that when I played this game, I was actually enjoying myself! The old style of hack and slash from the original arcade cult classic didn't seem to appeal to me quite much, but after what seemed like minutes into playing the game, I realized I've been at the game for hours with my now Level 34 Knight (Protector). If that wasn't addicting enough, multiplayer enhances gameplay by quite muchm increasing the fun factor amazingly. I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants to feel a bit of that old style retro killing spree game and those seeking a great game to play amongst with friends!

Just picked up the game. If you liked the previous versions on other systems, you'll really enjoy this. More realms, monsters, characters (hidden as well) and twists than other versions. It's more challenging and fun to play. The PS2 version is much more graphically stimulating and makes the shooting and movement more realistic. Great sound effects, music and all-around play throughout.
Great game! NOT just killing things...

I got this game on May 1st. The local store had it and I bought it. ITS GREAT! Everything from the music to the spells to the monsters to the characters is great, no complaints at all! There are like over 24 secret characters! They evolve by appearance, spells and power the more levels you go up! Tons of worlds/levels to conquer and the action is never dull. The graphics are great, especialy on spells and big monsters...and I haven't even tried the multiplayer mode! CANT WAIT! The levels are put together well and are very fun to explore and ... everything you see...hehe...falling rocks, lava oceans, burning walls, etc all make it more realistic. THE MUSIC IS GREAT!! Good catchy little songs, and erie noises make it really cool. Overall its a great game and I recomend it. Buy it, you wont be sorry!

This game is a must have for those of you that have multitaps. My husband was laughing when he heard my neighbors and I laughing about people eating green chicken, running off screen so that we can't move forward and fussing because someone stole the treasure chest they opened. The characters have a variety of abilities and play a big part when putting group parties together. Sorcerers, Wizards, Knights and Dwarves oh what medieval fun. It really is an enjoyable game and there are a plethora of levels with a variety of things to unlock. Challenging, fun and a good replay value. I would highly recommend. it.

I owned the N64 Legends game. This was much better. The biggest complaint I have about this game is that unlike the N64 version you are unable to manage your inventory. Once you discover the super ability items you can't turn em off till they're used up. El Sucko. Do yourself a favor and avoid this pos.
