This game is so easy and forgiving for my 3 year old to play and Dora the explorer makes him look at colors shapes and counting they even get to go into backpack to choose what item will work for them the best. It is a surprisingly long game where they visit several planets along the way.

My Seven year old helps him and then when he gets board of playing she takes over and of course it is too easy for her but she still likes it.

Very cute game for the youngest of gamers

We bought this game for our 4 year old daughter because she seemed interested in her older brother's games. She is almost afraid to play this because she doesn't want to make a mistake so she has her older brother play for her. I think she will figure it out in a few weeks. This may just point out the differences between boys and girls as her brother was figuring out much more difficult games by age 4 and may explain why there are so few games for girls. The graphics are not as good as say Jak and Daxter but then this is a very simple game for a child who may not be able to coordinate a lot of different moves. Dora moves down well marked paths picking up jewels along the way. Sometimes she has to find hidden creatures that aren't hidden too much. Our daughter will probably love this game for at least a year because her learning curve is longer than her brother's with video games in general but mom will need to help her to get a good grasp of the objectives. Overall, this is a very cute game that your daughter or even son will appreciate if they are just getting started with the PS2 or other video game platforms.

This game has been a blessing to my children. My 4 year old & 5 year old can play without my help and my 2 year old loves to watch. You can't ask for anything better than that. Good graphics and very easy. They just keep playing over and over again.

We got this game for our 3 year old daughter. I wanted it because she loves Dora. She loves the game and understands it well. I think the animation could be a lot better. It's not as clear as I hoped it to be. Unfortunatly there aren't very many little girl ps2 games and my expectations for this game were very high.

Boring

My four year old received this game for Christmas. It is very repetitive and has little or no educational value. Probably the only good thing about it is he is learning how to use controller. I think the Leapster is the best bet for video games for kids. However I am thinking about getting him the Frogger Hop, Skip and Jump game and mat. Lets hope that's not a waste of money too!!!

This game is great my 4 year old daughter loves it. The same day I ordered this game I ordered one from Disney also, I recived this game a week after I ordered it (which is a week before christmas) and as of January 1st I still have not recived the one from disney. I am very impressed with the quickness of the shipping.

Great Game for Toddlers

We got this game for our 3 1/2 yr old and she loved playing it, and it didn't take her long to learn the controls and complete all the tasks. The only problem is, now that she has completed the game 3 or 4 times she is bored with it and wants to play other games. I give this game 5 stars because it is a great game for toddlers, learning to use the controls and preparing them for more difficult games. It is great that Dora can't die, makes the game more enjoyable for the toddlers. The only thing that gets my daughter is when Swiper swipes a gem, she listens to the guitar music that plays when Swiper shows up and just watches him steal a gem. I just tell her it is okay because she has plenty of gems to make the spaceship go. We had fun playing the game, and I'm sure she'll want to play it again after some time has gone by. Definitely worth buying.

Fun for 5 year old not use to video games

Great game for my 5 year old who wanted a game she could play on the playstation 2 like her brother. Other games were too hard for her to master. The controls are not too difficult and it is fun. If your child is a master gamer they will finish it fast.
