When I wanted to buy the Bouncer. I read every review everywhere else, and just knew I had to have it.
This game rocks! I absoloutly love it! Smooth animation, great script and voice acting (Sion aside...). It's a classic Squaresoft gem. I hope it slowly becomes sleeper hit, and kicks the BUTTs of all the games people claim it can't.
And can't forget the music. The game would be nothing without those guitar cranking tunes that just get you right into the fight.
As for the movie part of it, I say A+++!! all the way. For those people who say it's "all movie and no fight",all I have to say is, see those yellow letters on the back of the case..yes, 'Play the Action Movie'. It does MEAN something here!
Easy controls, fun fighting styles for all the characters, I can't tell you when I'll put this game down, because I've been playing this game ever since I got it, (with a few exceptions),and still love it just as much now (or more), as I did when I got it.
One of my absoloute favorites.

Okay, so the game is only a little longer than one hour. That i have to put it down for but only because its really fun! Ofcourse you can always play it again and again until you've completely leveled everyone up to their full potential and seen every different storlyline possible... which is what i did. The graphics are awsome, as expected from squaresoft. The character designs are also very nice to look at. The storyline itself is about Sion saving his love who is actually a robot from the enemy, Duragon C. Mikado. (i might have spelled that wrong) The control system is simple and easy. Ofcourse its always fun to be sion and use your punch move multiple times giving the effect that your juggling the person in the air. But thats not all.. you can also combine everyone and do one move, some of them.... well you wouldn't want to be the enemy ^_^ The best part is that when you've defeated a set of enemies...usually security, robots, and the other ppl..who are evil, you earn points that you can use to learn a new move, or strength, or defense. You want to even it out but its really fun and easy. I'd reccomend this game to someone who just wants an easy time, its not at all challenging which is probably why many people didn't give it all its stars but i think its just a good time...

this was a very nice game to play. since story mode and survival mode are very fun and entertaining.

I like rthe game a lot. Poeple say it's too short. I say so what, it's still a very awsome game. Even though I beat it so many times, I still find a challenge in the game.

squaresoft needs to stick to rpgs only. All you do is watch a movies, fight for 2 minutes, then watch a movie again, and then 45 minutes later the game is over. And the fighting sucks too, you just mash buttons and get double teamed. And you fight with two other guys, and if they kill enemies while you are not in control of them you dont get any experience. This game could have been so good, the characters and graphics are beautiful, but it seemed like squaresoft decided that gameplay did not matter at all. They could not pay me to play this game ever again. Worst game I ever played.

The graphics look really good in this game, and the gameplay is pretty good. The plot is decent I guess, but the thing that bothered me most was that the game was so short. I had it on a three day rental and beat the game in a night and a little less than a day of playing. It's definitely worth a rental, but not quite worth purchasing.

If You want to watch a movie, go to blockbuster, or buy this game. If you want to play a game, then get something else. This is not a game it is a movie. You get to play the parts of the movie that involve fighting. This game..er Movie is short, very short. The graphics are mind blowing, we expect nothing less from Square. This is the reason to get Final Fantasy X instead.

My friend and I rented this game over vacation, thinking that it would be great. The graphics looked cool and the story sounded interesting. Yes these were both true, but I think we got 30 minutes of game play througout the whole game. The rest were movies. So now jockingly we say to each other, hey lets go watch the bouncer. It is fun to watch, but I wish that there was more playing time.

Rent this before you buy it.

I thought that this game had great graphics and and controls were nice and easy, but the rest of the game stunk. The story is kinda stupid although it is cool that the story changes a little with each person. The camera angle in parts of the game are horrible, but worst of all is the fact that you can finish the game in an hour and a half or so. So if your thinking about buying it RENT IT FIRST.

I think THE BOUNCER is plain cool but simple because it took me about 2 hours to beat. I think the fastest fighter is sion ,volt is slow but strong most of kou's combos are kicking moves. this was the third game I got and the coolest. when you fight sometimes there's other people on their team. the hardest boss to beat is duragon because at the end when you fight him twice but if you beat him the first time you keep all the health you had when you beat him the first time and duragon gets all his health back.
