This game is a classic example of "playability" being completly left out of the design process.

It looks great, the sound is great. The controls are horrid and it's just not fun. The TR series has always been hampered by poor controls, and nowhere is it more evident than in this latest edition. Message to Eidos: We are sick to death of the "step, step, turn, line up, jump, grab, pull up, turn, turn, step, step" control process. It makes for a slow, frustrating game. Lara is supposed to be some half ninja action hero yet she maneuvers around her games like a cement truck and dies constantly from misteps she should never make.

Every edition of TR comes out with better sound and graphics hampered by the same old clumsy controls of the first game. I think if Eidos doesn't take some drastic steps to address this, the TR series may be dead. I for one will not buy another.

Give me Lara in a game with the speed and playability of UT2003, with the occasional puzzle thrown in to slow things down and the great storylines intact. Then you will have something.

This is a winner! The Angel of Darkness has a great plot and story. Plus the new combat moves are really cool. It is a challenging game, but well worth playing. The graphics in this game are egualy impressive, the camera angle can be a little frusterating at times but overall it has the best graphics of the series. Lara has a great new look and with the inhanced graphics, her sexy body is really a big element like in the movies. This is the game to buy if you want a challenge, and top scale fun. (...)

I can hardly wait for this game and now another disappointment,why don't they be truthful and say when for sure so I can get on with some other game..just waiting with baited-breath, and how long will we have to wait for another after this one,, they need to get with it before I outgrow my need for Laura and I'm only 75 , can't wait much longer, if you know what I mean!!!

Who cares what other people think, This is the best game!!

The only reason people dont like this game (PC) is because they dont have a good computer, I only had one problem, no big deal. Some one wrote a review that said it was too easy, NO WAY, I have been playing since 1996, and this one was the best because you have to think!! Just because its not perfect dosent mean its a bad game. its the best one in years, I injoy playing it!! if you have a problem with PC get it on playstation. This game has great graphics and the game play is great! So if your planning on buying this game make sure have a good system- (your PC), if not get it on playstation. And if your a big tomb raider fan dont read the reviews with one star, because they dont know what there talkng about!!!

A+ On Graphics
A+ On Story Line

I haven't had any of the problems that other's have reported like Slow-mo Lara, Audio drop out, Lara Falling out of the game World. To sum it up Tomb Raider AOD is a Best-Buy

I will have to assume this game is going [to stink] Why would it's release be pushed back a third time? I am tired of waiting. This game must be so bad that Eidos/Core must feel it needs some severe refinement before release.

On top of the release date changes, neither Eidos or Core have bothered to put the news up on thier sites. ...

THIS GAME ROCKS!! First of all this game has been delayed like a MILLION times so lots of people are waiting for it to come out. The things that make this game ROCK are She gets new outfits she still has a wetsuit but it looks different. There is a another person you can play his name is Kurtis Trent and he wants REVENGE on the dude who KILLED his father. It is on the PS2. There are better graphics. It has a better storyline. She has HAND TO HAND COMBAT in it AND SHE LOOKS SO COOL AND SEXY!!! BUT DO NOT BUT IT AT AMAZON.COM IT COMES OUT JUNE 18 AT THE FRISCO MALL BUY IT THERE!BECAUSE IT COMES OUT JUNE 20 AT AMAZON.COM THIS GAME ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Just bought it 2 days ago so I just started playing it. I admit that I bought into their hype with the great teasers and almost a year of pushing back to release it. Unfortunately, I'd expected much more considering this is their first TB series for PS2 and the long wait. Like the previous TB in PS1, it's just as difficult manuevering in the game. The graphics are colorful and detailed, but not fluid.
I think the fans of Tomb Raider would be dissapointed a little, but for those who are new to it should enjoy it a lot.

This control sceme made Tomb Raider 1 unplayable. This control scheme kept me from passing the TRAINING levels of TR: Last Revelations. This control scheme was horrible but barely useable when I played Resident Evil. This control scheme caused me to die like a thousand times on the first level when I played Fear Effect. This control scheme is still compleyely horrible in this game.

Would someone please tell Eidos to change the controls in any future Tomb Raider games. I really want to like this series but every one of these games has been unplayable due to the control scheme.

This game is the greatest tombraider game of all the time !!! The graphics are wonderful and also the story is . It can be a litle blt buggy but who cares . Bugs make this game more interesting !!!! If you cant play without unlimited ammo , use a cheat . It is not that hard you know .
