For true "FUTBOL" fans!!... The best just got BETTER!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 5

If you liked Winning 6 then you'll love Winning 7. Just about every aspect of the game has been improved. The options are plentyful and great as with the previous versions. Gameplay is much better and tighter. New faints and dribbling techniques allow you to play with more flair then before. Defense if super tight and very realistic. Scoring becomes a game of skill and planning rather then just dribble up through 4 defenders and make a shot from middle of the pitch as with other futbol games. I also played Pro Evolution 3 a while back (Original UK version of Winning Eleven) and I loved that it's still intact and they didnt "Americanize" it for the US market.

With all the good praise i'm giving Winning 7, there are some areas that could use improving. Graphics are great but one thing that really bothers me, and this goes for alot of sporting games, is the crowd graphics. They are never done as well as the in game graphics. I guess thats just the limitations of the hardware maybe. The sound is good but it would have been nice to hear it in Dolbe, maybe DTS??, The crowd also seems louder then the commentating even at a low setting. The commentating is better then in Winning 6, with more acurate blow-by blows but still can get repedative. All the different commentating languages are great. The spanish commentating is actually better then the english if you understand spanish. An online option would have been nice too. All in all I love this version of Winning Eleven. Could use improvments but by far the most realistic recreation of the game I have played so far.

THE BEST SOCCER GAME AVAILABLE, BAR NONE

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 3

Let me first say that I have played my fair share of soccer games. Most notably the fifa series and winning eleven six. This game is easy a cut above the rest. Winning eleven six was so beyond FIFA in terms of realistic dynamics that it was hard to even compare the too. One was like a simulation of soccer, the other was like actually watching a real game. Winning Eleven Seven is no different from is predecessor. The dynamics are still thier but they added a bunch of new features to keep the game even more interesting. For the price of 40 bux you would be hard pressed to find a better soccer game. Plz rent it first and try it out. I gurantee if you are a soccer fan and enjoy great sports games you will buy this great game.

Good game

Overall a good game, better than Fifa2004 in some aspects worse in others.
Even though I'm a big soccer fan I do not like Fifa2004 and W11-7. Here are the reasons:

Winning ELeven 7 cons:
- Teams, or the lack of. Its a big issue if you want to play your favorite team. Yes you can edit and add players and teams, but its very difficult and a huge time sink. Besides the result may not be what you expected... :)
- Speed. The game is way too fast. Watch a soccer game on TV and you will see it too.

Fifa 2004 cons:
- Since fifa 1943 :) they have this bug when the game goes in slow motion. It has improved (less often) but its still there. Every version of fifa has it, even PC version.
- Default camera position and zoom makes everything too small, heck its even hard to see the ball if you far away from TV. (zoom cam be used though)
- Some player moves are akward and the AI is really bad concerning teams and different skill levels. (ex a horrible team can beat a good team anytime - try CPU vs CPU))

Both games have pros also.
Winning Eleven 7 Pros:
- Graphics, excellent player models, stadiums...
- Editor mode, teams, players.
- Swap mode
- You can be in control of the tactics while not actually controlling the team, coach mode.

Fifa 2004 pros:
- Teams uniforms and flags are perfect.
- Squads are about right for last year
- Game speed is RIGHT

Think the games are about the same, Fifa2004 has more cons but W11 has bigger cons. Comon, the game speed is way off. And the lack of real teams is really a problem for me.

Overall though I think Winning Eleven 7's got more potential than Fifa2004. EA is using the same "boring" engine for years while W11 seems to have a better one at least ATM.

I just play both games (sometimes) and wanted to share my experience.

Good game but not without flaws

I have Fifa soccer 2004, I liked that because of the realism in speed, and play. But this game is fun because it is faster with more dribbling, and fakes. I like the different levels of play. 1 star is really easy and you can pretty much dribble past the defense into the net for a goal. 2 stars is still easy but the defenders, and forwards are better. My favorite level is 3 because the AI is realistic, and hard to play against making you work for a goal all the time. I haven't really tried level 4, or 5 yet because I'm not good enough for them. I like the create a player option (something FIFA doesn't have) there are a ton of different ways to make a player. I wish FIFA would license this game so that Konami could make all the players, and club teams (Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter Milan) I think this would make the game better. The graphics are worse than FIFA, but still not bad. Overall this is a very good game that any soccer fan would enjoy

go get this awsome game now!!!!

I borrowed this game from a friend, and let me tell you, this game rocks. If you're a hardcore soccer fan, you'll love all the features included in the game. There's nothing you won't love about this game, the replay value is incredible, and the controls are mere perfection, believe me , if you are convinced that FIFA is the best soccer game ever, then you are WRONG!!!!!!, FIFA is slow, the only things I like about it, are the graphics and the licensed shirts, but that's about it, in Winning, you can make your own teams, you can edit and create your own players,you can DRIBBLE, and you don't have to use cheats to do that, the player's movement is real, and there are lots and lots of things you couldn't possibly picture yourself doing in FIFA, this game is the best soccer game ever. .If you don't believe me , at least go rent the game and see by yourself. You'll thank me later.

Excelent Soccer Game

I think this is the best soccer game ever, till the next one cames out, i have read some people complaining about fake teams and all that, What?s wrong with you!! you have the edit option and guides troughout the net that tell you exactly what you have to do to make them into real teams,, what it?s worth in this game it?s the perfect gameplay and sound .
come on,,, Fifa isn?t even close to this Winning Eleven .....

Great Game Play- Management is not Timely

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 2 / 5

These high reviews are all correct. But take note- if you are a gamer that enjoys the management side of sports games, ie. signing players, trading players, etc, this game is slightly frustrating.
Personally, I get sick of playing game after game after game, especially when it seems as though the computer has determined the outcome of each matchup from the start. So I usually play the Masters League, where you have an opportunity to manage your team as stated above. Unfortunately, during the long regular season, the games take so much time that it is easy to lose patience (you can't transmit players during most of the reg. season). THERE IS NO WAY TO SIMULATE GAMES.
Just beware- the game play is unbelievable, but the management side of things leaves something to be desired.

Much better then FIFA!

Where I come from it's called Pro Evolution Soccer 3 cause I'm from Portugal.
Graphics = 9/10
Playability = 10/10
Audio = 7/10
If you have somebody to play with you will never get sick of this game but if you're just one person you will get board fast.
But no doubt this is the greatest soccer( how you name this game there)ever. Don't ever buy FIFA, believe me. While this is out there, this is the game to buy.

5-Star Compensation Vote

I HATE when people give a 5-Star review but don't use the Stars Rating System!!! I just bought this game and can't wait to get better and better at coordinating the controls with the skills they execute. Sorry for the brevity but my aim is to somehow try and compensate for those not utilizing the Stars!!! ;)
