I dont like the concept of paying monthley for a game i already bought. So of course i never played a mmorpg. Until now. Why? CUZ ITS FREE...yes thats right..its free...Ok, Im assuming you know how to play an rpg, its that with the option to play with other people. Its kinda boring sometimes and repetitive but its ok, cuz the rpg elements keep you playing. The story is crap...I didnt care for it, some bad voice acting and some pretty good voice acting. You wont remember the story after you played..hell im still playing it and I dont remember the story. The camera angels are bad and at the end of the month you feel this is a game for poor or the average income people. If you are rich and want a mmorpg, buy world of warcraft, I want soo much to play but im only 16 and itll take up almost all my allowence.

unlike wow there is no careers n you can't ride animals but this game is freaking fun and realistic alot of people hate working with you but don't let that stop you damn good game

The best reason to play this is because it's not like every other MMO's. If you enjoy the on-line enviroment but got tired of other mmo's this one is the one to try. Builds on what other's have done without making the same mistakes.

This is a breakthrough in online gaming, the idea of teaming up with other players to take on the environment and the variety of things to do is amazing. A true 5 star game

GW is not an MMorpg

If guild wars is an mmorpg then diablo,warcraft,and starcraft are.You are totally wrong.Everything is instanced,only seven players can be in an instance at the same time.Only towns have many players,which is necesarry becasue you may want to form a party for an instance.Even towns are broken down...they are broken into districts.If I am in seaboard district 31,and my friends in district 20,we cant seee each other becasue were in separate instances-annoying.Im not saying this is a bad game,its pretty good.But compared to WoW and other mmos its not too great.7vs7 battles in gw...fun...but what about the 100vs100 batltles of a real mmo?If you dont want to pay a monthly fee get this game.If you have the money,WoW is for you.2 stars because its competeing with MMorpgs,games that are MUCH better than itself.5 in fun...because its fun!you can go on,form a party,and complete instances casually.

I will have to say that this game is very enjoyable. I've been really enjoying the pvp so far. The PvE is quite fun as well. I really have fun experimenting with different PvP configurations. And probably one of the nicest things is there is no monthly charges.

Guild wars is the best game i have ever played.
The only regret that i have is that i did not get the premier collectors addition!
I really think that guild wars is very well put together and playable and the fact that it is free to play is bonus!
I only wish that i had more time to play, but i guess it is not feezable to quit my job so i could devote more time to play so will have to play when i can. lol
There are just not enough hours in the day.

Its an ok game the biggest highlite I would say is the fact that its the first mmorpg that is not payed for monthly.

After playing this for a while I started over with a new character and it is the same exact thing. Doing the game the first time was ok but starting over with a different character is a waste of time since there is nothing new. Usually playing a game like this a second time with a different character is a lot of fun because of the different paths the game will take you down. Not with this game. It is the same thing. Boring.

I get constant crashes due to a video driver error. I have tried the latest driver and an old driver and nothing helps. Tech support are useless morons who couldn't find the motherboard in a computer. Look on the Guild Wars web site and you will see that there are problems with almost the entire line of Nvidia graphics cards.

The game isn't the best I have ever played for several reasons. There are invisable walls everywhere so you go where the programmers want you to not where you want to. But there are also invisable walls to keep you from cutting a corner or go across a small ditch and save the 10 minutes from going around. Why? Any spell you cast must be targeted on a character, even area of effect spells. So if your team mate or henchman (NPC) is being attacked and you want to cast a spell to help kill the monsters you have to target one and hope the area of effect is large enough to damage all of the attackers, instead of targeting the middle of the group and actually hitting all of them. The controls get really annoying especially when fighting. You try to click on an attacker, usually you will click on a team mate and are unable to cast your spell or attack. Then you try to click on the attackers name and it constantly shifts so you end up still selecting your team mate. If you click the ground accidentally while you are trying to target an attacker, you will run to that spot and if it is in the middle of the enemy, prepare to die. To cancel a command you just have to press the forward button but in battle when you are trying to do several things at once it can get very confusing.

I think the game is a good start but Arenanet and NCsoft need to get some better programmers and designers and fix all of the bugs and annoyances. I'm not very happy with the game at all, it could be much better. Before you buy I suggest you look at some of the chat fourms and read all of the problems people have been having.
