I love playing family feud. I love watching it on TV (preferably with Richard Dawson) or at uproar.com. I have been tempted to buy the handheld Tiger version of the game but when I found out it was coming out as a pc game I waited. I can't say that I am disappointed but there are glitches. For example, I typed in phone and it didn't give it to me even though telephone ended up being an answer. In other words, it doesn't always catch a smilar word or phrase and so you get a strike. On another note, you can't skip the transition between rounds...when Louie looks at the scores. The player voices get cut off...even though they don't say much other than "cool" or "alright". You can change the level of competition but medium is pretty challenging. I was worried that Louie would be annoying, but it isn't so bad. The choices of families/characters isn't too exciting but the descriptions are pretty good. Overall, I give it a good rating. I have played it several times and have not encountered the same survey yet (out of like 1500). And if no one answers it correctly, they skip it and move on to a new question.

I have almost all of the Hasbro Interactive game show and board show games, and this one I can tell is going to become addictive. The only problem is that there seems to be a lot of waiting time in between typing your responses. I mean, do we have to flash back to Louie Anderson every 5 seconds to see him turn around and point to the board or pop onto your screen to say "Alright!"? The graphics are so-so, I think most people prefer playing with real-life people, as with the old Sony versions of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy before Hasbro "remade" them. As usual, the family responses are cheesy, but that's how game shows are, so what else can you expect? The funniest aspect to this is that most of the time the videos of Louie are slow so they have more of a stop-start effect to it, and you catch Louie's animated self with some pretty hilarious facial expressions or movements. The questions are fairly challenging, but like the above viewer noted, you need to be specific with your responses or STRIKE! Also, what is the deal with 50s-sounding male/female role questions like: What do men expect when they come home from work? Some responses were: dinner, a beer, a kiss. Um WhatEVER. Still, it's fun and I'm beginning to like Louie a lot more than I thought I would. I have yet to win a fast money round session but hopefully that will change soon, as I've only played it about 5 times. Buy this game, you'll enjoy it and laugh the first couple of times you play it.

Family Feud, just like the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! games from Hasbro Interactive, is simply excellent. The gameplay and sound effects are just like the current incarnation of the TV show. The animations are flawless. The option to create your own family is unique and produces reasonably good results. Louie Anderson is tolerable on this game, unlike the TV show where it sounds like he is close to screaming. Overall, it's a game I thoroughly enjoy and would recommend to anybody interested in purchasing it.

I will offer these 2 caveats to anybody thinking of purchasing Family Feud: 1. If you have a slower computer, the game can act sluggishly. It was slow at times on my laptop (366 MHz, 32 MB RAM, 2 MB video card) while it ran flawlessly on my desktop (600 MHz, 64 MB RAM, 8 MB video card). 2. The full install is a gargantuan 600+ MB. While this shouldn't be an issue for consumers with newer computers, it is still worth noting.

I was pretty disappointed. The big install had me expecting a lot, but they spent way too much on the appearance of Louie and the animation as it is just like you were watching tv, but your not, so don't. They needed to pay more attention to the answers you make, meaning they need to know you know the answer when you answer police and the correct answer is police officer, give me a break. It is slow between transitions like the others say, and the only thing I can tell you different from the rest is "save your $20". ....brizz

A disappointment.

As another reviewer has observed, this game is prone to give your team a strike even when you answer correctly, but with a synonym. When the teams are tied at the end of a round, the "virtual Louie Anderson" still gives a message that indicates one of the teams is winning. This game needed a little more debugging before it was released to the public.

Family feud has good graphics, and it almost matches the game show exactly. I like how you can create your own family right down to every feature on their face. The game itself is fun to play by yourself or with someone else. One downside is that much of the time you use playing the game is waiting for the next question to come on. It takes too much time playing videos of louie anderson talking. It would be more fun if the game went faster.

Both adults and children love this game!

I have a great time playing this game! The visuals are awesome and it follows the format for the real Family Feud. Granted it is not perfect and there are a few bugs to work out, but it is one of my best games to play alone or with my family. It's fun creating your own family with the several skin, eye, and hair color options. You can even make your family member thin or plus size! Everyone in my family enjoy playing this game, even the younger ones (I type in their answers for them). It's a great way to pass time when you are bored or feeling playful.

Not as bad

I agree with the other comments, but still find the game good to play. PC versions of TV game shows translate well, and like Wheel of Fortune, Millionaire, and Jeopardy which I own, I find the PC versions much more challenging.

I have yet to see the real TV show with Louie Anderson, but he does a good job on the PC. I remember the original TV version with Richard Dawson. I think that would be a hoot if they put him on the computer, especially when he kisses the women.

Just like on TV

This game plays just like on TV! You can even create your own family (neat huh?) or increse/decrease the difficulty of the computer opponents. The actual players think and react to your answers! The only drawback is that if both players in the faceoff do not get an answer thats in the survey, Louie will restart the faceoff with a new survey. Also, the introduction cannot be skipped (like in Wheel of Fortune). Other than that, this game is worth getting!!!
