I'm a big fan of baseball, and you might be, too. If you are, you should buy this computer/video game. It's got most every great player, from new sensations, like Nomar, A-Rod, and Big Mac, to golden oldies, like Cal Ripken, Junior, Tony Gwynn, and Barry Bonds. There are also made-up players that are great at fielding/hitting, like Pablo Sanchez, Achmed Kahn, and Ernie Steele. You can also make your own player. One note before I go, Frank Thomas is awesome at pitching! My advice: buy it. Buy it and enjoy it.

I love Backyard Baseball, I can pick all the pros I like featuring, "Derek Jeter", "Kenny Lofton", "Ken Griffey Jr.",
"Nomar Garciaparra", and so much more. When I create a kid, my
kid's name is Dizzy Lamb, who I like to add to my baseball team.
His nickname is "Dizzy" and his birthdate is 5/28/1991. His batting average is 9, his running average is 10, his pitching average is 2, and his fielding average is 4. His face is light,
and his hair is black. That's the story of Dizzy Lamb. I also
like some of the backyard kids which features, "Pablo Sanchez",
"Achmed Khan", "Vicki Kawaguchi", and so much more.
In all, my favorite team in the game is Oakland A's. I like every
level exept for Sandy Flats, and Dirt Fields which those are two
hard fields to play. This game is great!!

My six-year old loves it but can't understand it

Cheap and richly adorned, this game takes some skill to play. My young daughter finds it fascinating; she likes it mostly because she unknowingly gets creamed by the computer-managed opponent. That is, she thinks the computer is managing her team; a 21-0 loss is a 21-0 win for her.

I am only a slightly better player and much better at realizing just how poorly I am doing. The options are plentiful, from choices among exotic and attractive ball fields (boy, I should have been so lucky as a kid), line ups (as a kid, fielding a full team in the backyard would constitute a once-in-kid's lifetime dream), to pitch selection (for me as a kid it was simply throw hard, harder or harder still).

Not for the impatient or the slow-witted. But this is baseball.

This is the best game!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is a very great game I like how the Pro baseball players are in the game as little kids. I also like how you chose how powerful the hit is.

This is a great game for those who like sports. The grafics are great and you can make your own players. But if you already have the original Backyard Baseball this is a wast of your time.

A complete money waster

I thought this game was okay when I first got it, but it just got boring after only a few weeks. Although I like sports games, this got boring way to fast. The pitchers would throw way to slow and then they give you a special throw that is almost impossible to hit. Also if you care for graphics much, don't buy this game. If you love baseball, try Triple Play 98 or 99.

O.K.

This game is great at first but gets really boring. I hated the fact of fatigue because Pete Weeler is the fastest person and becomes the slowest. If you only have the shadow to tell you where the ball is then it's the best.If it shows you where the actual ball is then it's almost an automatic homerun even for the average player.

I think that Backyard Baseball 2001 is the best baseball game for kids. It has really cool graphics and sound. I also think that this game is cool because it gives you three choices to play 1. single game 2. season games 3. internet games. It also gives you choices on how hard or easy you want the computer to play against you. For single games your choices are 1. teeball 2. easy 3.meduim 4.hard. For season games your choices are 1. easy 2. meduim 3. hard. One more good thing about this CD is that it has some of the best baseball players including made up players and one player that you can make! Buy this CD!!

My game now!

I originally bought this game for my 6 year old daughter and found myself hogging the computer. It's fun to play the season games and make your own names and pick your own players. This game is not only fun for children but also a blast for adults to!

I really like backyard baseball because of its graphics. I also liked it because of its real MLB players.
