Your probably asking why I'm reviewing so freakin early but Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was going to be the reason for me to own Xbox but it seemed it was never comin out. Now because of that I got it for PS2 and made my right choice and I'm staying with it. My PS2 homies can chill and play this right now while you Bill gates fanboys have to wait for 2 more months. Xbox SUX,PS2 rulz

Marvel ,Capcom Rules

I have played the arcade Mavel vs. Capcom and it was easly my favorite out of alot.I havent experieced the Xbox version but I have played the Xbox and with the power of it can make it better than the arcade one.The fact that there are 59 charecter is awsome .The arcade probly only had like 20.Im glade of this because there were charecters not on the arcade one that I wanted
to play with.

...

yeah, it DID come out for PS2 first. i guess you never played the game in the arcade, or know next to nothing about the game, because if you did, you'd know that the PS2 version sucks. they change it drastically from the arcade version, though you couldn't tell from the surface. So, we wait for the xbox version, hoping it'll be a much more accurate port than the horrible PS2 port.

Finally, MvC2 Online! ...well, maybe not

I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for a good 2D online fighter. Within the space of a month, Xbox fans get not one, but two: Capcom Vs. SNK 2, and now, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. Yes, fans, you read right-- this version of MvC2 is Xbox Live-enabled... (3/3/03 NOTE: ...that is to say, "was" Live-enabled. Due to Activision having acquired the Marvel license since the release of this game on other platforms, Capcom is no longer legally allowed to make any changes to the core game code, meaning that Xbox Live support has been removed from the game.)

The core game is one of the most frantic fighting games ever created. For each match, you select three-- yes, three-- characters from a roster featuring almost one hundred different fighters culled from Capcom's previous efforts as well as from the pages of Marvel Comics. Ken, Ryu, Guile, Colossus, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Sabertooth, Blackheart, Sonson, Ruby Heart, Rogue... you name it, they're in here, and all with their own fighting moves and style. During a match, you control one character at a time, though you can "tag out" to other characters on your team anytime during the match, and even call them in for brief assists. If you're good, you can use your Super Art (that is, most powerful special attack) in a strategic chain with those of your partners to ensure that your opponents don't see daylight until sometime in the next century. It's easy to pick up, tough to master, and extremely frantic and fun.

As a 2D fighter, MvC2 is still one of the most popular games for use in competitions. You may also want to pick up an Xbox arcade stick if you decide to get this.

First Came Dreamcast, Now Rulez Xbox

I just (again) finished playing this game for Dreamcast, and cannot say just how much fun this game is. It is DEFINITELY my favorite 2D fighting game, and argues to be my favorite fighting game of all time!

It's too bad the Xbox version keeps getting pushed back, hoping this 03/12/03 is the final date. Pre-Ordered it!

To get things correct, the game features 56 fully-playable characters (Unlike First MvsC), and unfortunately, from what I've heard, Online Play may be getting cut out. I'm hoping not, as I want this WAY over MvsSNK2!

This game 0wn3d on Dreamcast, and will DEFINITELY wear out a few Xbox controllers as well!

HIGHLY recommended, and to those of you that care, this is NOT a blood n' guts fighting game. No Fatality type gameplay, simple fun, arcade (60's Batman TV style contact graphics) fighting!
03/10/03 Edit: Okay, another Set-back. .now I see a release date of April 03, 2003. . .Yikes!
Anyhow, Definitely NOT going to support Xbox Live, I've found out.

Horrible

The main reason anyone would buy a older game(that is a good one) is if it had a new source fo life. For this game it was the xbox live featue but then for no reason other to be gay and lazy the took it out. So i think the sales for this game will be horrible and ur better of buying snkvs street fighter. Longer gaem live. Horrible just horrible

Awesome!!!

I bought it looking for somethin new in the game. I found nothing. The pixels look better and the game play is smoother but nothing new. No xbox live, no new characters, no new options. If you own the Dreamcast version stick with it.

Dissapointing... BUT GREAT!!!

I guess I had higher hopes... HOWEVER, this is a great game... ... It's still good... This game is like Street fighter (the best 2d fighter of all time) ... It's awesome... Great controls... 3-player tag team... playing incentive... (buy new characters, costumes...) My ONLY complaint with this ENTIRE game is that some of the 2d sprites look a little bad... they could do better... mayke thema bit smoother... anyhow... it's still great... Other good fighters on xbox: Soul Calibur 2, Dead Or ALive 3... Try those... Ok, Thanks for your time ~Andy
