I played the game and it was fun. Played for about an hour before I stopped. Will be something great to help me pass the time.

Does Not Make Any Sense!

I played this game with my son and both of us were pretty blown away by how the graphics in this game were so horrendous. We stopped playing the game for a little while. It is fun skating around, but it is not as challenging as, American Wasteland.

GREAT, but could be better.

This game rocks. The adventure of becoming a skate pro is exciting and sometimes infuriating. There are some actoin filled missions, and there are some of the same old, same old missions, too. This game is a MUST BUY for any skateboarding fan.

this is a good skating game, and i love it but it fell a little bit short of what other games are. after playing TH AW it doesn't seem as good. its a good game and i like playing it, but its not the best. i do like the storyline though and why ur skating. to become well known.

Warning, This Game Is Not For Claustrophobic People!

Ok This is no skateboarding game, this is a fiesta of cardriving and stupid stunts, not a real skateboarding game. YOu dont have to be the best skateboarder to win, you just have to be the stupidist. Dont believe me? Then how come everything you do is a stunt, not involving skateboarding in anyway, and so dangerous that only an idiot would ever try it. DONT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU WANT TRUE SKATYEBOARDING FUN, instead buy THPS 1, 2, 3, or 4. BUY THIS GAME if you want a bunch of daredevil nonsense.

I was surprised

I thought this game was going to be like the other tony hawk games. Sure those are great but this one is unbelievable! There is really a story line being played throughout the game. you can also get off your board and run and climb on buildings.
Well the graphics arent amazing but once you start playing you wont care. you start off like a regular skate punk and keep playing to become the number one Skater. you really compete to get sponsered by real sponsers! I give this game 5 stars and i think you will too.

alright...

I've played Tony Hawk since the first one came out on N64. Graphics are good in TH Underground. Gets boring after you've beat it. The objectives should have more to do with skating. Some objectives on that game have to do with crap like rescuing ppl. I buy the frekin game to SKATE. Thats why it only deserves a 3 outta 5, cuz it needs a new edge. Its not fun after you beat it becuz if you play it again, its pointless. LaTer.

This is a GREAT GAME!

This game is excellent. It's fun, entertaining, there's plenty to do, and the new Story Mode is great. The tricks are perfect, it's very easy to pull off a huge combo with the Revert and Manuals. One of the best things about the game is its user friendliness. You are able to pause and Save at any time during the Story mode, you can restart your current goal very easily, you can even see a list of all the goals and see the ones you missed so you can go back to whichever level and complete them. Also, there's a wide range of difficulty levels for any type of Tony Hawk gamer. If this is your very first Tony game, and you put it on the easiest, then when you have to get a certain score to beat a goal, the points you have to get will be very low, like 10,000 or something. However, when you put the story mode on the hardest mode, you might have to get 150,000. The game is so fun, and so perfect. I've owned every Tony Hawk game, and this is BY FAR the best one. GET THIS GAME NOW! You won't regret it.

i cant believe this

this game reeks of a series gone bad. in 1 + 2 you could pull insane tricks, keep longer grinds, use better skateparks, and not have to worry about the stupidest goals in the world. this game is basicly 4 with big courses you cant do tricks on and a career mode. they seem to have foregotten that in 2 that they had the same thing were you skate for cash to get boards and stat points. this game shows how far this series has gone down hill. for the price of this game get hawk 1+2 and shaun palmer ( like hawk but on snowboards and even better).

Best yet in the skateboarding genre.

Get ready for a totally new breed of the Tony Hawk experience - Tony Hawk's Underground. Play as yourself, not a pro skater, and make your way through a plot-twisting, true-to-life story that takes yo...u from unknown local skate punk to fame and fortune as Skater of the Year.
General/Summary:
Yay first review.
Anyway This is hands down the best THPS ever. They have gotten everything down on this one, even a story, but anyway lets get to the review.

Gameplay:
Well gameplay has been tweaked a lot and had a lot stayed the same. You now got a story to folow along with. instead of playing with a pro-skater you create a guy and give him a name and everything and now your in a story. You play a run-of-the-mill jersey rat hoodlum who has a lot of talent but doesnt know how to get off the ground with his skateboarding. Plus you got a freind, Eric, who keeps getting you into trouble. Its kind of like THPS 4 where you can free skte till talk to a guy who gives you something to do. So you start from the ghetto to(as far as I got) the pros in San Diego. But not only do you get new tricks you also get new options, one of those is walking, another is driving a car which is alright but kind of a pain in the A$$ to drive those but the missions involving them are kind of fun. But the walking is kind of cool since now its easier to get into smalller places and you can get onto roofs better without having to do a huge combo. plus, they still have secret tapes. and one of the best things of all, you can now hit people. Some people might not find it great but it gives something to do when I get frustrated with a mission.

Graphics:
Graphics are alright. Nothing stellar but they get get the job done.

Sound:
Sound is really great, acting is very well done plus, when you crash your guy says something like "ow my knee". but their soundtrack kind of sucks since its all rap.

All in All this game is totally stellar and in the top five of the best Xbox games ever.
