Interesting game.

There are many levels to choose from, like the former Battlefront game. So when you finally beat the game and unlock all the locations, and want to go back to play, you have a lot to choose from. Like Jabba's Palace or Mos Eisley... Hoth. etc. But one problem I noticed about these locations, is that they sometimes hardly differ from one another. I would have liked locations that were extremely unique from other locations.

I'm not a huge fan of X-Box but it is the only console for which I have played this game. My main nit-pick is with the controls of the X-Box... I just can't get used to them, and maybe that is why sometimes I am very frustrated when it comes to running/jumping & aiming/firing. That is why I'm thinking about just sticking with PS2 from now on.

Yes, there are special characters to unlock; but I personally feel that the characters such as Darth Vader, Yoda, and Luke Skywalker could have had more life in them... they die way too easily.

GRAPHICS - 5/5

GAME-PLAY - 3/5

SOUND QUALITY - 5/5 (very good music and effects)

IMPROVEMENT OVER THE FIRST - 3/5

I'm not so convinced that BattleFront2 is a great improvement over the first BattleFront. The space battles are supposed to be great and fun, but I actually found space to be boring, nonsensical, and uneventful. And there seem to be more restrictions set on the player. . . and that is hardly ever an improvement.

I own both Battlefront I and Battlefront II. They are both AWESOME (awesome is a complete understatement). If you are a diehard Star Wars fan, like me, you will love these games. You can play as a jedi and fight in space in the second game. I have played virtually every Star Wars game for PC, PS2, and Xbox, and this game is among the top 10. Even if you are not a diehard Star Wars fan, or not a fan at all even, you will still like this game.

Awesome Game Buy It!!!

This game is great!!I thought the first one was great, but this one is 4 times as good!! It is really cool how you can earn the chance to play as a hero!!(jedi, boba and janga fett etc.)Also by earning points you can unlock special players for your team. Now you can play capture the flag as well as conquest.Final thought best game I own, you should buy it if you are thinking about buying any new game!!

one of the best games that can enter your xbox

this is possibly the best star wars game ever created, right up there with knights of he old republic. the gameplay is simply amazing, the variety of things you can play as, and the seamless 3d planets. i was even once a giant white monkey on hoth, and i went around beating up rebels on hoth. you can be ewoks, geonosians, and you can chosse which era to play in, clone wars or galactic civil war. the space battles are also something to admire. i found myself choosing a wide variety of ships, from an x-wing to a republic assault ship, v-wings, and much more. this is really, really good. galactic conquest and xbox live finally make this game a real kicker. i often found myself choosing to play this instead of halo 2 with my friends.

NON-STOP FUN FUN FUN!!!

I just can't stop playing this game! The offline campaign is really nice with many many levels and new maps. I played it online and the space battles are awesome. The ability to go onboard the enemy ship and the ability for them to come onboard to your ship is way exciting. Just have your weapons ready to blow them away on the invasion!!!

For those who complained about space controls, you should keep practicing or it's just that you're much too lame to be a pilot!!!

The graphic is beautiful. For those who complained about the graphic, get a better TV set or have your eyes checked!!!

Oh and yea...you can be a jedi knight or a hero like Han Solo, but it's for a limited time so to keep game balance and fair.. ..it's awesome!

For those who complained about the jedi controls, practice practice practice...or it's just that you're not cut out to be a jedi knight... lame brains.

The more I play the more fun it becomes. This is much better than the original!!!

Good simple fun online, Star Wars style.

I'm not really into the realistic, squad-based military shooters that are in vogue right now. I think real-life war is terrible and I don't want to be a part of it. Star Wars Battlefront II shares many characteristics with more realistic, gritty wargames, but has a nice, fun, Star Wars shell over it. Jedi Knights (you know, samurai from space!) and power droids (the walking battery robots sho say "Gonk!") are everywhere, and the action is fast and furious. It's like a free-for-all with Star Wars "action figures," and just about every vehicle or animal from the movies you'd like to drive/fly/ride.

My favorite part about this game is the addition of several space missions. It's not as sophisticated as the old X-Wing flight simulator games -- this is meant to be picked up and played by anyone. All you need to know is how to turn and shoot. Subtleties like taking down the enemy's shield, landing inside their ship, and sabotaging their equipment will come later. Even if you mess up and blow yourself to pieces, you'll respawn and be back in the action in a few seconds. Online setup is a breeze, and the game plays just fine with or without voice chat (I choose without, personally -- seems lots of 12-year-old boys like this game, too).

If you're into Star Wars, this is about as complete an experience you could hope for. You can live inside the skin of all your favorite characters in both the old trilogy (whiny Luke, cocky Han, bossy Leia, hissing Darth Vader) and the new one (bad-ass Mace Windu, sword-swingin' Yoda, paternally whiny Anakin Skywalker, or the amazing Jango Fett). You can go to all the planets from the movies, and even see some sights that were only in the "expanded universe" such as Rhen Var. Or, like me, you could just queue up the maps for Hoth, Space Hoth, Death Star, Bespin and Tantive 4 to relive Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back again, again, again, and again. Look for me online, I think I might be playing this one for a while. It's a lot less demanding of my time and brain than Halo 2. Isn't that what video games are all about?

An Improvement

BF2 is a great game yes, but it is just an expansion on BF1. My biggest disappointment was the loss of maps. Sure you gain some, but some of my favorites were lost from BF1. The graphics and game play are much better and the new musical scores from Episode 3 are great as well. Playing as a hero wasn't as fun as I thought it would be, but I was probably hoping for too much anyway. The space battles are great, but there is little variety in them. In many cases the only difference in maps is the planet in the background. The game offers more than BF1 and it is a big step forward, but there is still a long way that they could go.

This game is not only the all time best star wars game, but also a great game in all categories. It's so fun, because it has a large amount of computers on the opposing team and yours, so it's like your in a real-time war.
