Hop into a Starfighter It's Going TO Be A Long Ride

Star Wars has always featured an amazing cast of characters,fantastic battle grounds so vibrant and colorful let alone imaginative, and a strong story to back it up(Don't forget the MUSIC!).Sadly whenever a Star Wars game is realesed it focuses on one aspect like a flying sim or a fighting game or sometimes has nothing to do with the real original Star Wars!Us Star Wars fans never really get the pick of the barrel and are casted aside with lackign games.Battlefront 2 somehow manages to pull all the great things that make Star Wars so great into one.You are probly thinking didn't the origginal Battlefront already own the feat?The answers no.

This time around you can play as multiple Heroes and Villains spanning from all of the six movies!Oh and many new maps that are waiting to be destroyed and some well maintained remakes of classic levels like Geonosis!It wouldnt be great without masses of soldiers at your disposal pick between good and evil and fight in some of the most couragious Star Wars battles that the siries has to offer.Man an (the classic)X-Wing or a (the modern)Starfighter and blast off into space avoiding incomming missles and gaining turf by taking down enemie ships and shield in the all new Space battles.Every class is destined to hold some significance to the battlefield find whats best for you.Maby your an all around troop or a heavy artillary kinda person, whatever you are fight till the end.The X-Box version supports online/X-boc Live, so the wars keep on comming with intelligent support by either your friends or your new worst enemy.The splitscreen(2-4 player) is still fun too!Choose either Galatic Wars or Clone Wars and see the difference in troops and performance as each is set on 3 episodes.(Clones being the first 3 Galatic being the other 3)

Graphically this doesn't stack up to say Doom 3, or the new X-box 360 titles, but in its own way it's still colorful and powerful.Audio wise whats not to love?You can't deny Star Wars music John Williams composes each peace to perfection!The controls are smooth as can be ,but may take awhilke to get use too.All the new features leave you comming back for more, even if your new to the siries.Make sure to add this modern classic to your collection and let it shine.

Great game, couple of irks

This is really one of the best star wars games out there, really. I bought this after buying the 1st one because I really liked it. Im glad that I did! It has features that the first didn't have, like you can now play as a jedi, VERY FUN!
Also now, in the instant action you can play fun games such as the capture the flag and assault which is where to win you destroy the other teams droids and such to win. One of my favorite games is capture the flag on geonosis, you should play it to get used to ctf. So now the instant action is more than just capturing command posts.
You remember how in the first battlefront the campaign was the same as the instant action only in order? Well now there are objectives you have to fufill, like for instance, "Destroy the shield thing that is protecting the droid army." Like that.
Couple annoying things though, if in a movie in a battle a certain side wins, like the battle of Endor the rebels win, it is really hard to win if you are playing as the empire, and on Hoth it is really hard to win as the rebels. Very irritating to just capture a command post and suddenly the minute after you leave the other side suddenly captures really quickly, irksome. That is probably the only complaint I have against the game.
Also, as you have probably heard, you can now play in space. I feel that space is fun, but more fun playing it in the campaign where you have objectives to carry out. There are great vehicles in space you can use such as the X-wing and the TIE fighter.
This game has a much better conquest game than the first. In this one it feels more as if you are in control of the army because you can buy weapons, turrents and different soldier classes. It can get a little hard, but it is still fun.
Pros:
Great Graphics
Jedi game play
New game modes like CTF and assault
Easy to learn controls
In the campaign you get to do such fun things seen in the movies such as carry out order 66
Wonderful space battles
Cons:
Too easy for certain sides to win in certain games

Well, I have a couple tips for you, if having trouble getting used to playing as a jedi, play at mos eisley in assault, that is all jedis and other hero people. Also if the space controls are hard for you to use, go to the instant action play a space battle and practice just flying around and shooting at things.
I hope you plan on buying this game for it is one of the best I have played for X-box. However I must remind you that the majority of the game is conquest based with capturing command posts, so if you are looking for a Halo wannabe, go somewhere else.

This is by far THE best Star Wars game I've ever played. More soldier classes, more planets, you can have dogfights in space and you can play as a jedi knight. This is a hard game to put down. Limitless scenarios and game play will keep you occupied for hours on end. I picked up this game back in November and I still play it on occasion. The only down side is the lack od squad control. This sequel limits you to the basic "follow me" or "break off" commands. Maybe for lack of memory or just simply to distiguish itself from "Republic Command". Aside from this very minor gripe, the game itself is flawless. So pick it up today and have fun fight the evil empire or "rebel scum"! You won't be dissapointed

Great game

This is a great game! you can be jedi and creature
you can be jedi with hero vs. villian or be jedi surrounded with clones or battledroids.
YOu can go into space! lots of space vehicles. It might be too easy going into their ship but fighting in space is great!
There is Hunt! you can be a native species vs. droids or other species, there are lots of unique creatures, some are bigger than wookie.
There are a lot of new and cool maps.
This is much harder than Battlefront 1
Also it has great replay value
It has new cooler weapons, like elite rifle, beam rifle etc.
It also has awards and ranks like general, private, and gunslinger, frenzy, etc.
the only bad sides are:
1. some of the good maps from battlefront 1 are gone
2. After a long time you get really good at it and get bored with it , and by long time i mean 2 months- 4months (very long)
3.IT is not very intense.

If you are a hardcore gamer, rent it first

This game is a must for Star Wars fans.

I've only spent limited time playing this game but so far its great. Ther ar good sized maps, lots of units and great controls. The space missions are cool but could get to be tedious. Too bad they couldn't of made the space battles more diverse like X Wing vs Tie Fighter, that could be a wish list item for Battlefront III. I will say that landing your ship on an enemies capital ship and walking around is pretty cool.

My kids have the PS2 version and I started off playing that and got hooked then decided to get the XBox version for myself. The difference is amazing, the XBox version has sharper graphics, the colors pop out more and the lighting effects are better. The game play is the same on both consoles, great.

This game has many different kind of features and levels. It has good graphics and lots of things such as guns and vehicles. If you like the Combat Flight Simulater games, you will love this. It is the Combat Flight Simulater games and more. Flight and ground. The space not only looks cool but you can choose different kinds of ships. Things ranging from slow bombers to fast 1 on 1 fighters. Not only that, but you can also take your ships and infiltrate the other main team's main carrier ship and help bring it down from the inside using special landing ships. This game takes you through most of the major battles in the Star Wars series. It also not only goes into the Clone Wars but also the Galactic Civil War. It is not a only one player game so people do not just have to sit around and watch you play. Yes it does have a vs. mode so you can go head to head with your freinds and family. It also has many kinds of games on quickplay. You have your standard conquest where you have 150 times your troops can get killed and whoever kills 150 first wins. You have hunt, in which you play with some kind of creatures such as Gungans, Ewoks, and Wampas. You have my personal favorite, assault, in which all of the bosses such as jedi and other major people like Chewbacca all fight. It is seperated by good and bad in this mode so you can't have people like Han Solo and Darth Vader on the same team. The last mode is the classic capture the flag, which is get the enemies flag and bring it back to your base. It also has 1 flag capture the flag which is where there is only 1 point at which to get the flag. There are many different kinds of troops with different skills and weaponry. Troopers, engineers, snipers, and many more. Yes this game does have a story, but the plot is very cheap. I won't ruin it, but it mainly goes by the movies. In this game you mainly play as CIS, Republic, Empire, and Rebels. So it kind of shifts through them. Overall this game is pretty good and worth the money. I would say this is money well spent if you are a Star Wars fan.

While the new additions in the game are good (aka the hero's and space battles, new maps, award systems) there are still also things I dislike that have changed. Those things being the fact that the other team and your team kill each other at the same pace and your team has one additional player (you) so your more than likly going to win enlace you try to lose because your definetly going to kill more than any of your other team mates. In the original game I could actually LOSE in this one I just shoot everyone, get however many points, become a hero then from there its over because I slice down at least 20 of the other teams men in one life. It doesn't help that the other team can't use a jedi worth a damn either.
While the game is still fun, it just lacks what made the first one great.
Oh also a few more cons
Vehicles are weaker than hell, Dark Trooper has a useless gun basically, they took out some of the original maps and made the old ones easy.

So all in all...its still a good game its just...too easy, I'd recomend playing it with a friend really least that way teams are even and your buddy can hopefully add the chance of losing.
Oh also space battles too easy. There's one pattern you use to beating everyone of them.

here are some good facts and for you to buy this game.
1.you can be anyone you want from the starwars trilogy.
2. you can fight anywhere you want.
3. you can fight as any jedi

This game is one of the best games out there. I have been waiting so long for the second battlefront after the first one. Now it is a lot cooler since you can now play as the classic jedi or sith charachters from all the movies. I also like how now if you capture a base you can change what class you . I am most impressed by the space battles there are and how there are many ways win and destroy the enemies such as board there ship and blow up the ship from the inside. Also I like all the new classes you can be. If you buy this game you will really enjoy it. I highly recomend this game for a lot of people.

This is a great tps and and the gameplay is brilliant. The graphics are slightly improved and the changes they have made are brilliant. I think that this game is highly addictive so when you start to play be warned coz you'll never want to stop.
