Sure, this game may very well turn out to be great, but we won't know UNTIL IT IS RELEASED. I wish Amazon would implement a policy that restricts our ability to rate products that aren't even out yet! Until then, I hope all of you reading this will use your brains and WAIT until you've played a game before you rate it. You may be giving a good review for a game that may disappoint you when you finally get a chance to play it. Do movie critics write reviews for movies they've never seen?

Didnt let me down. im a spider fan myself. when i played the first one i didnt like it at all. the controls where all goofy and the story was all jack'd up. i didnt want to play it again. but after see'n spiderman 2 i went out and bought the game. after a few minutes of playing i was hook'd. this is way better then any other superhero game ever made. you get to perform all of spider man moves from the movie as well as a few that was off screen. the story line is very good. it doesnt drift of or anything. the side missions are very fun. the boss battles dont disappoint either. there are tons of unlockables, even after you beat it you still have stuff to unlock. i still play this game today. its has a very high replay value. you will not be disappointed.

I was bowled over by the physics, loved the action and amazed at the fact that the entire island of Manhattan has been recreated.
Sure I loathed the story and detested the end-of-level bosses you have to endure to gain everything the game has to offer. Thankfully these parts are short and mostly easy. Some of the fights are so out of keeping with the rest of the game, placed obviously in there to coincide with the movie... but once the story part of the game is completed New York is open for you. You're then free to do the sub missions and time trials and seek hidden packages to your heart's content.
Personally I could have lived without the story mode completely but it didn't detract too much from a great game with good graphics and fabulous controls.
Leaping off a skyscraper for the first time is a rush! Recommended harmless fun.

I loved the movie and one day while walking in Electronics Boutique I saw the game and I decided to buy it. The graphics are good and the game is really fun. It's not amazingly difficult. I did get help from a friend with the next to last level, but I beat Doc Ock by myself. The game is told in chapters and you are given an objective which you have to complete in order to complete the chapter. But it doesn't follow the story line of the movie. It does follow most of it, but in the game you fight Shocker and Mysterio. The level where you beat Mysterio is pretty funny considering you only have to hit him once. The funhouse level is pretty cool and a big highlight is you can travel anywhere. At no time while swinging through the air will you be stopped by a seemingly invisible force field. The games graphics are pretty good. The fighting is kind of cheap, it's like punching in slow motion, but looking past that. I don't understand why the game isn't that well liked because it is pretty good. B+.

By far the best action game I've ever played. I tried picking up the first Spiderman for PS1 and got frustrated during the first training part of the game because everything was about precision controls and memorizing button combinations. Spiderman 2 was easy to pick up. Trainin only took 30 minutes and the rest was self-explanatory. The controls are really easy and the animations are entertaining enough to keep you busy for hours.
If the developers of this game would make a Superman game with a similar set-up, I'm sure it'd be a hit.
