This game will blow your freakin socks off. You actually get to feel like spidey in this game. You can do some exploring too. I've tried different things in this game. I jumped off the Empire State Building, took a trip to Liberty Island, rode on a helicopter and jumed on a boat! The best part about this game is that you don't have to collect hero points when you have to. You can just swing around for hours. In fact, in this game, I got to know more of New York then by actually going there! When you are swinging around, it really relaxes you. I can come home from a hard, stressed out day at school, put this in my xbox and swing around. It really relaxes me. Trust me!

A Webslinging OK time

I've gotten through about half of the game and have decided that overall, it is just OK.

At first the webslinging and beating up bad guys was really cool. The graphics are amazing for this game and the physics are genuine. However, after learning the basics of the game I'm sad to say there really isn't much more to it.

Every chapter requires you to complete a certain number of tasks. Whether it be talking to Jonah, shooting picture, or whatever. But you must always obtain hero points. The sad thing is, there are only about 4 scenerios to earn hero points: get a guy to a hospital, stop a car chase, catch a guy before he falls off a building, and stop an armed robbery. Umm....after 8 hours couldn't there be more to it than just this? The further you are in the game, the more hero points you need to get the next chapter. I'm at a point now where you need 3000 hero points, well the actual encounters with the bad guys can earn you about 200 a clip. That's just too many trips to make this game fun.

As I said earlier, the graphics are great and the physics are good. The civilans are stupid (you CAN NOT interact with anyone at anytime).

Really, once you've seen every scenerio for hero points 50 times, isn't that enough?

im the same kid who wrote the NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK review.i dont no what i was thinking!this is the best game i ever played.the flow of the game is great.how it folows the the events that happen in the movie and the same time put charectors like mysterio,and shocker in between.i love web swinging around the city and beating up criminals in the air!but i must warn you sometimes you end up at hard spots and takes along time to beat. you cant help feeling like going crazy so i got a suprise for you who need help!!!
TO COMPLETE STORY MODE WITHOUT HAVING TO DO A THING FOLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:pause the game and go to save/load section.go to new game and it will ask you to enter a name enter:HCRAYERT thats treyarch spelled back words.all you have to do now is complete the last two chapters and they are easy just collect hero points.i myself have not used the code but my freind has and it works.i didnt enter the code because i like to beat the whole game myself.........see ya and have fun beating the game!!!!!

Please I have Played Spiderman 2 Before it was On the market. Everything in that Game, The Web Slining and the Fighting are pretty and the ability to go anywhere IN the Level are Awsome.

Finally a GTA you can play around your kids

This game is absolutly huge...the city is giant and you can travel across it with no loading times...the swinging system is new and definetly improved. There's nothing like the feeling of free falling off the empire state building and catching yourself at the very last second. The grafics are great, excluing the character models. The fighting is quite fun, you can web up a guy fling em around your head, which nocks everyone around you away, then hang the guy from a lightpost...i mean come on, that's just fricken awsome...the only down thing is the missions get a bit repetitive. but you can spice em up by using different methods, different attacks...this game has ALOT of substance, it will keep you busy till fable and halo 2, so buy this game and have some fun!

I've tried this game when it first came out and it was fantastic. This is a must-play game for all those spider man fans out there. Enhanced graphics, movie(Spiderman 2)like characters including the main bad guy, Doctor Octopus. If you can afford it easily, you should buy this game if you want to have fun with your Xbox, Ps2 or Nitendo Gamecube.

well...i know absolutely nothing about this game except that it is gonna come out sometime! but, since it is going to be the sequel to an already good game, i'll say this: the first one had good graphics, good gameplay, decent fighting, and a load of web slinging moves. plus it was a really long game, and it had that cool metal gear-esque training mode and all that extra stuff (art, movies, previews) so, in all reality, it would be absured if the developers went and made the sequel crappy, so this game is most likely going to be great. i predict better graphics, better gameplay, more moves, tons of extras and, BOOM, there it is!

I can't belive its true, in less then a month spiderman 2 comes out. You can go down to the sidewalks and fight the crimanls of NYC. You can finally swing from building to building. It also has infamous villans including Doc.ock, Black cat, Shocker and many more. You also get hero points for completed tasks (like getting back a womans purse or getting a kids balloon and stuff.)

This game rules!!!! The 1st one was So-So only b/c u were limited to freedom. I wouldve been happy if this game just fixed up the engine from the old one...but instead they create a brand Spankin new one and it is Soooo kewl. Did you ever wonder what your webs connected to when you swing in the air on the old spiderman games? i did!!!! but now with a new engine you must aim your webs at things to attach to!!!! it sounds hard but its easy to learn. The best part about this game is By far New york city.. ITS HUGE!!!! and you can anywhere unlike on Gta and true crime where your limited to roads. And this Game is tota; free roam!!!!! Spiderman himself loox great in this game and so does doc oc but almost evryone else is dissapointing. Actually im gonna stop typing rite now b/c this game Rules if grandtheft auto and previous spidrman games had sex this would be there baby!!!!!!!!! BUY IT 5 out of 5!!!!! NOW!!!!!! IM gonna go PLay SPIDERMAN 2....the best GAME ever...(tetris not included)

here i sit with my favorit super hero ever and hes got the freedom to swing and climb the entire city stopping bank robbers and purse snatchers and 4 vilians i get this game amd so excited i put it into my system and 4 hours later i had beaten doctor octopus and saved the day and i was done.
the buttons are easy your 30 times faster then any on you come up against and then you have your spidey reflexes and this makes Spider man invulnerable and that takes a could be the most spectacular game ever made and turns it into $70 dollars of wasted money.
a few questions i have is why when a movie comes out like LOTR the video game is exactlly like the movie, when they even have clips from the movie in it its pathetic Spider man has hundreds of thousands of villains and at least 40 years of story line that could be used to produce a story line for a video game.
im a huge spider man fan and i love the movies but please for the gamers out there give us a game like this that will preoccupy us for more then a coulpe hours and leave us begging for more instead of damanding my money back.....
