Hey man, this game was of da chain! Yeah homie i'm talkin 6 stars out of 5. It was off da hook. you got alot i mean alot of freedom in this game. you get to see Doc Ock., The Lizard, and Mysterio. Yeah man sup LH ATX keep it real. HOLLA AT YA BOY

I was the first person to get this game at my local game store. Brought it home, played it, & loved it. Only problem I have is that you cannot do things mid-mission. There's a part in the game (I'm not going to give it away!) that you must have quick reflexes, or you'll get stuck doing the whole thing again. A little frustration, to say the least.
Good things are - you can walk everywhere, climb all the buildings, dive to the ground & just have real fun. The buildings are scale-model size, so there's real height in the game. Sure, Manhattan isn't a full scale model, but what can ya do? It's sure to be a real hit.

5 stars!!!!!! but that isnt nearly enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spider man 2 is like a low dose grand theft auto because you have the ability to travel anywhere in New York. Climb up the Empire State Building
or take a swing to Roosevelt Island. You can go anywhere and do anything. Interact with civilians by talking to them. They might tell you that an armored car is being robbed or that a car was just stolen or even that a citizen needs to be taken to a hospital all of these and MUCH MORE.Battle villans such as the shocking shocker the hard headed Rhino the elusive Mysterio and the danderous Doc Ock. You will even meet up with with the Black Cat who helps you in a few missions.

This game is awesome. You can finally go on the streets. You don't have to go on with the whole story, either. You can just websling around. Only two minor drawbacks. The first is you have to target buildings to web-sling. Example: If you jumped of the empire state building, you have to wait to be in view of smaller buildings to web sling. The second drawback is the graphics. Not so good . could have been better. this game deserves a 4 star, but 4 is still good.

the new web slinging engine is awesome.You control the momentome and who dosen,t want to jump off a huge building and then save yourself with web i smile to this :)

I was amazed at how smoothly the game ran considering how large and detailed the map out of Manhatten was. You can go almost anywhere and fight petty crimes or face of with super villians, such as Electro, Mysterio, and Ryno, while at the same time keeping up well with the plot from the movie. A fantastic rent and a good buy.

Long time Spider-man fan has long-awaited a game like this!

I've loved Spider-Man since I was like 4 years old. I played the games on the older platforms and I loved the movies when they finally came out.
But this game was the first time I finally got to FEEL like Spider-Man!
Having the whole city to explore, amazingly done web-swinging animations (it looks a lot like it did in the films!) and kickin' @$$ with true-to-Spider-Man agility (Spider-sense 'n all!) all combine to make any Spider-Man fan feel childishly giddy!
The ONLY downfall is the lack of open-endedness. If you enjoy the freedom of games like the "GTAs" or "True Crime" that give you a city as your playground, and appreciate the ability to mow down civilians in cars or rain chaos from a rooftop with a sniper rifle, then be forewarned that you won't find that here. You MUST be the hero. The worst you can do is nudge a person on the street resulting in a snide remark. Also, aside from the main missions, your only options are dealing with petty street crimes which get a trifle tedious seeing as there's only about a dozen or so different types: car-jackings, muggings, gang wars, etc.
But compared to all the previous Spider-Man games, this is 200% improvement!!! I love it and I know any true Spidey fan, young or old, will get a kick out of this title!!!

I think this game will suck and will be the worst game ever created by man kind. but im just joking about that it is actuly going to probably be the best created this year. also you can swing off buildings run on the street taslk to the people on the streets you can go in a mall. Also you have many new moves and possibilties because you can do anything yo want ang it takes at least 12 hours at the most to go through all of New York and you can change into your original clothes and go in the daily bugle and do stuff. Also there are many villianbs and crimes to be stopped and even a purse to get. And it is the coolest game ever created.

dude this game will rock!!!!!!!!! When I herd about it i had to check into it. The demo sucks for pc but the consul version is much much better. First your webs acutally stick to something and you have a whole lot of side missions. There are lots of other things to like you can go down to the streets and find a crook trying to get away in a car you can jump onto it and throw him out. there are also missions when Black cat will help you Im telling you, Get this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
